I am in Italy now and Vodaphone has the HTC Magic for sale but i cannot find the 1700mhz on the box anywhere.
I live in the US and need my data 3g to work.
Does the Magic have the same frequency bands as the T-mobile My Touch for 3g?
Nope. You have to get a Google Ion or a MyTouch 3g to get 3G on Tmobile US. The HTC Magic will only work on edge in the US.
Thanks!
That is what i thought i just wanted to make sure. I guess i will just have to wait till it is out in the US.
Thanks
It is official My Touch 3g Pre sales start July 8th on T-Mobile.

Hey guys,
I spoke with a sales guy at carphonewarehouse who mentioned there were PAYG SIMs with daily data plans with a fair usage of 50MB per day. Which with limited use is doable, I average a little over 60MB right now. But he was not able to advise on 3g compatibility with a T-mo USA phone.
I have a Samsung Vibrant (T-mo USA's Galaxy S), which uses 1700/1900/2100 for 3G.
Can anyone help with the compatibility question, or even recommend a UK PAYG provider?
I'm pretty sure the Vibrant has extra radios in it and is compatible with both the European standard 3g and AT&T US 3g... Don't quote me though
europe mostly uses 2100 for 3g so your should be good
Will AT&T Galaxy S4 work on T-Mobile? as of now I am with AT&T and I want to order the 32gb but I was thinking of switching to T-mobile after they have LTE in NYC. I need to try it first if it is not fast enough I will stay with AT&T. So can anyone answer this please. Thanks
It will work but you won't be able to get 4g and LTE...I think you will only be able to use edge...

It will work, but i doubt you will get LTE on it since T-mobile operates on a different band.

The T-Mobile version has support for more bands and frequencies. I just learned this today.
The AT&T version will somewhat work in certain areas of the T-Mobile network. The T-Mobile SGS4 will fully work on the AT&T netwrok.

Yes pretty much.
why would you want the 16gb s4 when the 32gb is out
i doubt tmo will be better than att
i think att has more coverage area, at least in Dayton Ohio it is very spotty on tmo compared to att, i am moving to att
tmo doesn't seem to have as many towers
plus i think sometimes these phones seem optimized to the original carrier
all imho
EXPANSYS USA is selling the HTC One with 1700/2100 LTE for $729.99. Regular price was $749.99, but with voucher 20offhtcone the final price comes to $729.99 with free shipping.

I love expansys but that's the same model you can buy directly from HTC for $575. What's the point?
Or buy directly from T-Mobile for $580 and cancel the plan right after.
What's the UPC of the US variants?
The UPC of the 32 GB Unlocked One is 821793034719, and that doesn't have 1700.

Or buy the 64GB Developer Edition directly from HTC for $650 with all the HTC One supported bands you can think of.
Developer
The 64 mb. HTC One Developer for 649 is the best deal directly from HTC.
I have mine running in USA on ATT and it flies. LTE fires up when I am in
the area where it is active. I am getting d/l speeds burying the needle on
speedtest app. This is in the Passaic, NJ area. Simply awesome.
It switches beautifully from HSPA, HSPA+, and LTE. As far as signal strength goes
its outstanding. Better than the SGS3 and Nexus 4. I am totally happy with the
performance of this phone!

It doesn't work with T-mobile AWS (1700/2100) HSPA, last I checked, although many suspect this can be fixed by flashing the radio firmware from the T-mobile version. It does, however, work fine with T-mobile's refarmed HSPA band (1900) and their AWS LTE. I'm sure T-mobile will finish refarming by the end of the year due to their fast rollouts so far, but until then it just depends where you live.

I can confirm flashing the T-Mobile radio does not work. I'm no longer getting HSPA+ in my office. Hopefully eventually someone will figure something out.

ok. sorry my bad. i didnt know about that.
Hello everyone, I just had my Nexus 4 stolen on vacation and needed a new phone. I've always purchased unbranded, unlocked phones to get cheap pre-paid plans from carriers. I'd like to stick with the T-Mobile $30 per month plan here in the States. After looking at the frequencies, I'm not sure if T-Mobile's SIM would get HSPA+ speeds in the GT-i9505. How about LTE using AT&T?
I looked at the frequencies and some of the bands for this phone and the carriers and some aren't listed for this phone hence my confusion. Any help and suggestions are appreciated.
I can't post the link because I'm new but the description is confusing stating " NOT FOR USA LTE, Not for Verizon or Sprint, Works on Tmobile GSM but not 3G."
You could get the Google edition. It has support for ATnT and T-Mobile LTE.
