This is not currently possible on the Aria. You may want to check this site for any progress that is made:
http://alpharev.nl
There is also a psuedo S-OFF thread that you may want to look at.

Looks like S-OFF is coming for the Aria whenever Alpharev 2.0 drops!

Could you please share your method?
Edit: use at your own risk, tutorial is on a later post in this thread.

Please tell me that was a wind up, lol
we need a set method of getting s-off like the g2's s-off, is there anyone out there who has has success?
JD
It wasn't a wind-up. That guy has a Desire Z (he did a very comprehensive tear-down), and he's deep into s-off and hboot etc. So if anyone knows, he does. I believe he's IntuitiveNipple on IRC.
If I were you I would ask this question over on the G2 forums, where there's a lot better chance of finding someone who has done it.

Im not sure that we can use the same method though...
This forum is near on dead of dev's, as soon as the hboot is live for both phones im hoping they will merge the two sections into HTC Vision.

The reality is there is no hboot readily available for the D-Z users yet. Gotta wait and see what the brains come up with.

Hey All,
(I'm not responsible for any damage that may be caused by flashing this)
I have a great news for all of us. I was stupid enough to test it myslef first
So, here I present You the engineering hboot for our lovely device.
It's ripped from quite old DesireZ dev rom, namely: 1.05.0.0, it laid on my drive for week or so
Here's the proof that phone booted corectly, I suggest You to backup all your data.
Bye,
Pavel

I'm glad it worked ;-) But the compliment should go to guys who allowed Us flash this baby.
In this case, I'm just a delivery boy (Ah Futurama again ;-)).
Little bit OT: I really enjoyed last season, I still can't understand, how they were able to pull off so many jokes about physics ... and it still was soo original plus funny.
Bye,
Pavel.
Hi pavel and brad,
i'll get my desire-z next week and wanted to know how to flash this hboot judging by the extension just place that file on the /sdcard and boot in hboot would flash it right away but I wanted to be sure

Wow... you still didn't answer my question. How are we suppose to give you the rom to reflash if we don't know what rom you flashed in the first place? I understand that if you want to learn and I'm greatful for that but there are about 200 different types of roms. Some are Sense UI, some aren't. There is about twenty different rom types that are just unrooted stock. Is that what you want? Or do you want root? What firmware? RC-27, RC-29, RC-30, RC-33, Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, FroYo, Gingerbread? You asked us and I'll quote you again...

If you can't answer this question then I'll just post any kind of rom, let you figure it out and then lock this thread because it won't go anywhere.

It reminds me of a Lewis Black quote:
I saw that movie.
I saw that movie, you know, the movie you told me to see.
The one you told me to see, I saw that movie.
You know, the movie, the one you told me to see.
I saw the movie.
The one you told me to see.
You told me to see the f**** movie.
The one with the guy.
You know, the guy.
The guy, we liked the guy, then we didn't like the guy, then we liked him, then we don't like him.
You know, the guy who goes out with the girl.
You know the girl.
Son of a ****.
No, no, not a moose; a bunny, " that conversation can go on for days.
To others it sounds like, holy s***, these people don't know what we're talking about.

Any goldcard generator website recommend?

I am trying to downgrade my wildfire and flash a CM7 rom.
Unfortunately revskills doesnt work for me. My reversed CID is:00A1007F3FBA01804734305553445303
Can anyone please give me a hand or tell me where can I get a goldcard image?
thanks!
do you hav format ur sd card in FAT32?Beacuse it only support FAT32.
I'm also searching for a goldcard image generator. The Goldcard Image generator at psas.revskillss.de/?q=goldcard seems to be out of order, is there anyone who has some information on this?
I would like to downgrade my HTC Desire HD Gingerbread 2.3.3 so I can can root my phone and install custom roms; As far as I know I need to have a Goldcard to achieve this. I've been searching Google and downloading and installing every Goldcard tool I could find, but everyone of them is trying to redirect you to the RevSkills site.
Hope you can help us, I'm sure there must be more people who are looking for some info.
Thanks in advance!

Chain fire 3d will work with just root
But its only for older versions of android
Dual boot is possible without s-off, just a pain
The main thing that normal users will benefit from having s-off is being able to flash kernels in recovery and flashing radio firmware

Can I suggest you guys also sort out any differences between different carriers, regions, etc in relation to the method being tested. For example, having a willing test user from the majority of regions. That way, if the method is found, we can know if it will work with all One variants or certain ones. Just something to think about.

Doesn't really do anything, that would be a dev thread.
Goku, can I also suggest you keep a list of tested methods and results in the op until the correct method is found? That way nobody will keep suggesting the ones that have already been tried.

However, these type of threads are for the devs to discuss this and keep it out of the dev boards until the method is found. We, as normal users, can contribute to their efforts by suggesting and testing if we are willing. However, if you have nothing to contribute to their effort, and the ultimate goal of this thread, then they kindly ask you to not post and just enjoy the reading when the dev part comes into play after release.

That has never been the point of these kinds of threads, these threads have basically been a way of keeping the "GIBE ME S-OFF PLS WHEN I WANT S-OFF" types out of dev threads.
People that actually know how to crack security post in the dev threads.
