How the 3 network sim work on unclocked XDA

I run the unlock exe file on my XDA. Now it accepts Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile but not the 3 network. Any idea why ?

Erm because "3" is literally as it sounds. 3rd Generation. Orange/T-mobile etc etc are all 2G. Yes they have all released/releasing 3G networks/phones, but your device is a 2G phone. It won't support 3G SIM cards. Sorry.

well the early 3g sims did work in 2g phones of cause not on the 3g network then it would just roam 2g networks like 3g phones does when they cant get a 3g signal
but 3gblocked it in later models as far as i heard

does the htc wizard support UMTS and 3g simcards?

could any one confirm if htc wizard supports UMTS or not and also 3g simcards.

it is not a 3g phone and does not support UMTS ...BUT yes it will work on a 3g simcard..i have one

just as rockin figs said, it will work with a 3g/UMTS sim card, but you will not be able to access 3G/UMTS data speeds. I'm using a 3g/UMTS simcard now but can only do edge data speeds.

Problem with 3G Services with Orange in Dominican Republic

HI my name is David and I bought a T-mobile My Touch 3G and this is what happend, I got this phone because i like it so much i previously had the G1, i got this new one because it works on 3G HDSPA 900mhz network and that is the Network 3G range of Orange Dominicana but i just got the Edge symbol its connected to the internet but through Edge it got the little "E" how can i fix this problem to have the 3g up and running on my phone its there any software or radio or spl or anything that can fix this please I want to know this because i've tried everything and the 3G on the phone doesnt work yet.

Have you checked in your settings? Is "always use 2G" unchecked?

Yes i've tried everything on this phone and still not working, i uncheked the option "Always use 2G network" and still i got the same problem.

Was that phone meant to be used with Orange? If it was not it could be possible that it's the same thing as when you use a T-Mobile phone on at&t or vise versa; you can’t connect to 3G because both companies have different frequencies.

OK I know that there's diference between those 2 companies T-Mobile and Orange Dominicana but the specification of the cellphone are:
General 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100
and the network frequency that Orange has for 3G HSDPA is 900MHZ and the cell phone should be up and running with the 3G maybe the T-Mobile has another frequency about its 3G network but this cellphone supports also 900MHZ HSDPA that is my frequency here in DR., so there's nothing to fix this problem??

It depends on many things. Maybe you should have enabled "Only 2G" on Settings>More>Mobile Network. Also, it could be that there is no good coverage where you live, so is always changing to 2G.

WCDMA - Airtel 3G - India - A2003 not connecting?

I am not able to connect to 3G ( WCDMA - Airtel 3G - India - A2003 ) network at all! It always says it can't connect to the network! Any way to fix? I tried 4G ( LTE ) it works. 2G ( GSM ) also works. I have tried altering bands as well but still no difference. Could it be a motherboard issue?

How did you alter bands?

Try resetting because i am using airtel 3g and it works fine in delhi

How did you do that? I'm facing the same problem

Open phone call dialogue and type *#*#4636#*#*
Go to phone information
Set the preferred network to WCDMA only..

Tried already. Doesn't work for Airtel 3G. Airtel 4G works.

There seems to be a issue with airtel, sometimes when I switch to 4g and then to 3g i never get a signal until reboot
