There is instructions in the originalpost. But when you have downloaded the file from multiupload and unpacked it, copy the update.zip file to the root of the sdcard.
Reboot into Xrecovery and choose install update.zip from SD card. Select the update.zip and press the middle button on your phone.
Well... this is how i installed mine.. i was a noob too.. lol a scared noob..
You do know how to get into xrecovery right? if yes then do the following
Download the Minicm file.. (update_2.zip) copy it to your SD card... DONT EXTRACT!
now on xrecovery
scroll down to Install Custom ZIP
choose from sd card
choose the file whatever u downloaded.. and hit the menu button.. let it install.. when done do a factory reset and the reboot phone..

Flash in Xrecovery, but use option: Install custom zip
okk...thanks for the help..
It is simple...
Download all the filles you need.
Xrecovery install files on your phone.
It install from default the update.zip on yours card root, but it has an option for custum files (it let you browse your card to chooze zip file)
So you have to install rom and then fixes...
Put all files on your card root (if rom zip and fixes zip have the same name, rename the fixes zip)
Ok, boot in xrecovery (restart phone and tap back key untill xrecovery come up, befor sony animation) , buck up first everything. (it has a buck up option, browse there and click buck up, navigate with volume keys, enter with home key, go back with back key)
Then click install update zip or install custum zip(...browse to file) , this will install the rom file.
After that reboot phone and if you manage to get on the rom then installation would be sussesful, it take some time to boot the first time. If your phone only reboot continius then boot on xrecovery and restore your back up.
Then if rom installed sussesfull, boot on xrecovery and install fixes (from costum zip or from update zip), reboot your phone and again if you manage to get on rom install was sussesful or if your phone reboot continius then restore buck up from xrecovery.
I am not responcible for what ever you do on your phone.
From this prosess your hardware sould not be harmed, so phone can be fixed what ever hapends.
Cool down and make your options, the worst case senario: you lose some data and make an update to your phone from pc suite.

firstly, have u rooted and already had xrecovery installed?
I've 2.0.1 so i think I've to upgrade to 2.1.1 but on 2.0.1 I've app2sd, jit, xrecovery and obviously root so once upgraded I would root and install xrecovery without problems, the problem is what have i got to do after?
yes you have to upgrade first as in the thread mentioned the rom will only work with 2.1.1 and baseband 15..after upgrade install rooted and xrecovery installed, download the rom (which is update.zip file) dont extrated it..just placed the update.zip file inside your sd card..dont placed it inside any folder, just placed it in ur sd..then reboot..and press back button several time until xrecovery appear..i suggest u to make backup first ,choose backup at xrecovery option for later used (if something goes wrong you can always restore back)..and would be better have backup all things in ur sd (for later used also )then go back to the main screen of the xrecovery..choose install update.zip..then if everything goes fine it will reboot and u have to go to xrecovery back by pressing back button several time and choose factory reset as mentioned in the minicm thread then reboot again..here you go..good luck, remember to always backup ur data before messing around
If You already have 2.1.1 and have it rooted and got xRecovery installed than :
1.Download MiniCM Rom
2.Put the update.zip in the SD card (just drag it onto SD card)
3.Turn off phone and wait 5 seconds
4.Turn on phone and when Sony Ericsson sign appears start tapping "Back(arrow)" button until xRecovery shows (You should make a backup before you install that in every case to be able to resume the state before the installation --> In xRecovery Backup/Restore section)
5.Now install the ROM . In xRecovery go to "Install update.zip from SD card" than "Yes - Install /sdcard/update.zip" and the ROM will start installing
6.Select "Factory Reset" in xRecovery
7.Select "Reboot Phone" in xRecovery (first boot takes about 1~5min)
8.Enjoy new ROM
I think I`m explained quite clearly
+1 Case..its clearly explained good luck Siso.
THANKS i'll do it tomorrow but, if I upgrade now via pccompanion will I have automatically the .15 build? or Have I got to install some other patches?

I guess there is no way that you can install custom ROM without xrecovery, I hope my guess are rigth
Anyway, you can get xrecovery from here.. if you don't have one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881614
and this video will probably can help you also

ok so the reinstall fixed the problems,
xrecovery installed with out issue.
i put on racht's FLoyo ROM, which works well so far.
I have miui on HTC inspire. So i know how to get it on that phone, but my battery is dead so i'm waiting for a new battery. In the mean time, I'm using the bravo.
So how do I get it on there?
Here's what i done so far:
1) update to sbf 2.2.1, rooted superclickone
2)downloaded moto recovery bootstrap, that got me into cwm.
so i try to download a miui from this forum lnk, and when i update from the sd card, i restart and it stays on the motorol logo forever. however i try to update the file , i get to infinite logo. I must be doing it wrong.
There was a forum about nandroid backup, and I put the file in the clockworkmod/backup but it will not see the files. It's not as easy as the HTC inspire. So if anyone can help and give me a step by step instruction I would appreciated from getting being root to miui.
Hi
You need to extract the zip file into clockworkmod/backup folder
at the end you should have a new folder in backup and that folder should have various .img files and an md5 file
thanks it works!
I can do a restore with CM7. but what about getting miui? I tried to install from zip, but after reboot, it will just hang on the motorola logo. i assume you don't do a restore like CM7, cause there is no checksum in the miui zip file.
Just incase anyone was having as much trouble as I am trying to install MIUI.
I first try Bravo recovery but it just didn't work, only for cm7 for some reason. So i search a little more and tried defy recovery and all is good.
Anyone I'm post what I did for future me, if I need to go back to bravo for any reason.
find sbf 2.2.1 just incase
download bravo driver and rsd lite.
Root with superoneclick
download defy 2ndint from market
follow BravoMotorola instructions on any new MIUI defy update (download at miuiandriod.com
1) Open ROM in Winzip
2) Delete all the folders and files except for "system"
3) Download this mediafire.com/?jfgb5g3t8k2lkrb
4) Extract files "motorola" and "META-INF" to a known location
5) Move extracted "META-INF" to / (root) of the ROM
6) Delete folder "motorola in /system/ect
7) Move extracted "motorola" to /system/ect
Then follow RDANNAR instructions
1) DO NOT LEAVE RECOVERY MENU UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY DONE WITH INSTALL
2) download and place on sdcard
3) reboot into recovery menu
4) format data in recovery
5) wipe Dalvik in advanced menu of recovery
6) wipe Cache in recovery
7) choose install zip and click to install ROM
8) reboot and give it some time for first boot
im a noob a lil confused after reading a lot of thread, so what are the steps to get miui on to bravo?
I was installing Gingerbread on my HTC HD2, but I extracted the files in the gingerbread zip. He said not to extract it. I did not read that part. Now I have no zip to use with clockworkmod. I dont know what to do, I cant bypass the screen. Is there anyway to reset my phone to stock so I can redo this all over again? Please help me.
Or is there a way to by pass it?

bootloader> task29> rum windows mobile
That simple
[/COLOR]Erm, why would you need to do any of it again? You unzipped the rom,,, so what? Delete what you unzipped, get the zip again, put it on SD without unzipping, start phone with power held --> magldr option 8 ad recovery --> starts cwm, from there choose 'wipe data factory reset' just to be sure the partitions are clean (i(f you are gonna make an sd ext partitiom now would be the time))then 'install zip from sd ' job done.
I would have to agree with samsamuel. there is no need nor would "bootloader> task29> rum windows mobile" fix your issue. You only need to delete the unzipped version off your SD card and replace it with the zipped version. Then follow the instructions where you left off at.
[Q] HELP ME! I dont know how to uninstall MAGLDR
[A].. to uninstall magldr is to do:
1 task 29 (wipe all data and NAND)
.. to install Android on your HD2 you must do this:
1. Power on hd2 pressing vol down (three color display) and attach USB cable
2. Flash MAGLDR113 (phone is restarted and booted in magldr menu)
3. In menu with vol key select USB Flasher confirm key is green
4. Flash MAGLDR CWR 5.0.2.6 (partition size depends of the rom you are flashing)
5. Wait for magl menu and select AD Recovery (8) then select:
-mounts and storage
-mount USB storage and copy zip file from comp to sd card,go back (unmount) pres key arrow to go back to
-based recovery and select
-install zip from sdcard
Wait to ends, boot and you have android installed on your HD2!!!!
I'm kind of lost why you want to uninstall MAGLDR. If you want your phone to be stock windows mobile download your official stock rom. Extract it to get the nbh file. Rename that nbh to LEOIMG.nbh. Copy it to your SDcard, and flash in bootload mode. This should reverse you back to stock. I would do a search for help 1st. There are many threads already about how to flash back to stock.
What you only need to do is give a little clearer instructions on what your problem is, where your stuck at and what your trying to do.
Hi all!
This is my first post and I am new to rooting so I will not know as much advanced techniques/terms so please be patient.
I decided to root my phone to install a custom ROM (Thats what everyone wants, right?), more specifically to get a newer version of Android. I found the Aurora ROM by Dzo and I flashed 2.04 and it seems very fluid and fast. I didn't upgrade from the official 2.3 because I couldn't find the files. I'm really liking the ICS environment.
My first question is: How do I find/install a baseband? I want to use this as my daily ROM and I can't do much without signal.
Second, My battery indicator is not working and how do I fix this?
Thirdly, When I put the device to sleep for about 5 secs or more it will not wake up and reboots. Is this fixed with a later patch?
And lastly, What upgrade pattern should I use to get up to 5.0? (e.g. 2.04-2.5-2.6 etc or jump straight to a version and go from there)
Thanks in advance
First of All,you must install official gingerbread for install ICS.
Your problems (battery and baseband) are causing by old amss.bin (baseband) and old bootloader.
First, install official gingerbread with code name V100R001C00B518G001. If you install this version, you must not do root for install Aurora ICS.
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?lws54xxb3lcm7di
If you install it,You must install CWM 5.0.2.8 or CWM 5.0.2.7 or CWM 6.0.2.8 or CWM 5.5.0.4 or TWRP Recovery. My prefence is install CWM 6.0.2.8
Here is 6.0.2.8;
http://code.google.com/p/forumber-projects-for-u8800/downloads/detail?name=recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.8-2.6.35.7-u8800.img&can=2&q=
1.Download the recovery
2.Remove SD Card and delete dload folder in phone's internal memory (if exists).
3.Power on the device while pushing volume up and down buttons.
4.If the pink screen appears, connect the phone to PC and wait for detect the phone
5.Rename downloaded img file to recovery.img and copy it to image folder in mass storage in Pink Screen
6. Download latest Aurora 5.0 and update 20 and copy those files to your sd card.
7. Power On the phone while pressing volume up button.
8. Backup the system to your sd card
9. Do "Wipe data/factory set"
10.Install Aurora 5.0,then install update 20
11.Reboot the system. And that's it! Enjoy the ICS

You can install offical gingerbread on rooted ROM. You don't need to wipe because the system will do wipe automaticly
No. You do not have to wipe. But you can if you want.
To install official gingerbread, you can install it over a rooted or a non rooted device. It doesn't matter because when you install gingerbread. The device will automatically be un rooted. You would have to root your device again after installing official gingerbread.
The easiest way to root gingerbread is to use SuperOneClick. Here is a tutorial for rooting your gingerbread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420728
In the link above, just do the steps under 'Rooting the U8800 with SuperOneClick v2.3.3' and 'Installing ClockworkMod 5.5.0.4 on your U8800'.
I hope I helped. Good Luck and have fun rooting!
When I try to flash the Gingerbread ROM, It says Installation aborted. Why is this?
I am using CWM 5.5.0.4

You do not flash official firmware with CWM.
You must extract the file that you have downloaded.
After extracting it, keep going into the extracted files until you find a folder called 'dload'.
Copy this dload folder to the root of sdcard.
Now, power on your phone by pressing and holding down the power + volume up + volume down buttons all together.
The phone will automatically start installing the official android 2.3

If you don't understand anything then you are welcome to ask me about it. I will explain it to you.
Good Luck!

1.Download the recovery
2.Remove SD Card and delete dload folder in phone's internal memory (if exists).
