Has anyone else had issues post Nodo with there focus where it won't detect Wifi or Bluetooth won't turn on? I've had it twice randomly now shut off my wireless stuff, and when I went to connect back, it couldn't find any wifi signals even standing a foot away from my router. Normally a reboot worked. Today though, I haven't been able to get my bluetooth to turn on. I never turned it off. It slide it over, it thinks, and goes back to off. I've rebooted it, pulled the battery and now thinking about hard reseting it to see if that will work.
Thoughts anyone?
I've been trying all night to get either to work. I got the bluetooth to work for a few by turning on airplane mode and then turning bluetooth on. But Wireless still didn't work. I've gone back and forth with this all evening and finally gave up and hard reset the phone. Neither option still works. Guess i'm going to see if I can role back to the pre-nodo and see if it works then.
I've now backed my phone to the pre-nodo and even factory reset it. Nothing works. I called ATT today and spoke to the warranty department. They can replace it, but not before I leave back to the lower 48. They did say they have had several calls now on the bluetooth and wireless failing to work so maybe there is a problem happening now that's starting to grow?

Did you ever get your phone replaced? Did it solve the bluetooth issue? I cannot get my bluetooth to work after the first phone call made with it. It in fact disables the "phone" on my handset. I can make and receive calls but there is no audio on either end, on either device [phone or headset]. I have to soft reset to fix.
I hard reset just today and got nothing but a wiped device. No resolution to bt issue... next step is replacing...
What happened with yours?

I experienced this only one time, but a quick off and on fixed it. The other party could hear me though.
I also had troubles with WiFi network connectivity with my Focus but that seemed to just be a passing phase (Strange I know right?).

Hi Folks,
I've been having some proper trouble with my Hero over the last couple of days. Namely that it won't make phonecalls directly out of the pocket. If it's been locked, in my pocket, I take it out and try dialling and it just goes silent for a second then beeps and reverts back to the phone screen. In every instance I've tried a restart and it works.
Is this going to need to be sent back or is it something I'm doing wrong? Also, have any of you noticed your screen scrolling between screens without the phone being touched?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Strange. The first thing always to try (especially before you go to the extreme of sending it back), is a factory reset.
Remember it'll wipe the device back to factory, and you'll loose all your data. You'll have to resync your contacts etc.
But its the best way to figure out if its a hardware or software issue. Factory settings here means a reformat and reimage of the whole OS. There's an option in the settings to do it.
Thanks mate. I tried the reset this afternoon and so far, so good.
I had some problems with mine with the calls as I couldn't make or receive a call even though there was signal.
People would call me on the landline as they tried to call and said the phone was off (stranger still the call wouldn't go to my voicemail and would say the number was unobtainable) and I wouldn't be able to call out.
It would say dialling for 5-6 seconds maybe more then beep and go back to the phone dialler screen.
Many calls to T-Mobile later (tried new sim card and a factory reset) and it still wouldn't work. T-Mobile techs suggested I switch it to run on 2G networks only which made it better but I argued that my previous phone (SE W910i) didn't need manual switching between networks to work properly.
So after more discussion they agreed that something wasn't right with my Hero and sent a replacement out.
So far so good for the replacement
Thanks for the heads up, mate. Since I did my factory reset I've had no trouble but I'm half expecting it!
No problem
I'll admit that I keep my Hero on 2G networks now (not for any signal and call issues) as it really helps save battery power. Yeah, the net performance is slower but after all its only fetching a few facebook updates and the gmail is still fast to use. I can switch it back if need be for fast internet.
My wife flashed her hero to the official sprint 2.1. She had never rooted or flashed a custom rom before, so her going to the official 2.1 didn't really bother me much. However, now she's running into an issue with her data not working. A couple days ago she noticed she wasn't getting her e-mail. Strangely enough, mine quite working too (I'm on fresh 2.1.1). I rebooted my phone and mine started working. So I went to her wireless and network settings and turned off her data. I then turned it back on and after 30 seconds or so it said it was connected and everything started working just fine.
The strange part is there are no errors and even when the phone tries to check e-mail, it doesn't report any errors. Now, on my phone when this happened, my HTC Mail app threw a fit because it couldn't connect to the exchange server. Since I could refresh my gmail account and got no errors I thought it was just our exchange server. I signed into my account on my PC (for exchange) and it was in fact working fine. After I rebooted (just this one time as mentioned above) gmail kicked off with new mail and exchange connected fine.
Today, she has told me 3 times now that she went in and reset the connection (turn it off and back on) and a while later it would quit working again. She turns her phone off every night, but for good measure I am having her reboot it now.
Anyone else have this issue? She never had this problem on 1.5, so I don't think it's hardware. I've only had the issue once, but I'm also not in her area right now (tower related, maybe? My data borked when I was at home where she is at right now).
Thanks

This does seem like a tower problem. However, if you want to troubleshoot, you could always reset your data settings via the Sprint ## codes.
For data, enter this code: ##3282# on your Dial Pad. Give it a second and it'll ask if you want to view or edit your settings. Trouble shooting this problem would mean you have to Edit the settings, but in order to edit them you need your MSL code, which can be obtained by either contacting Sprint CS and asking them for it; or you can search around here on XDA and I'm pretty sure some people posted other ways to get your code.
Once you have your MSL code, choose edit when you get the pop up window and then click on your menu button -- there should be an option for you to choose reset -- enter your MSL code and your phone will reboot.
This may or may not fix your problem; I've had success whenever I've had data problems.
Hey thanks! I did a search for MSL and found a thread with a procedure to get it through CDMA workshop but the drivers don't want to work with Windows 7 x64.
However, my wife was complaining the other day that it takes a long time for her phone to start ringing when someone calls. I think I'll call sprint tonight when I get home and just tell them I need to fix that and see if they give me the MSL... Might kill two birds with one stone.

On the taking a long time to ring:
1) Move the ringtone off the SDcard into the phone, in some cases the SD card is to slow to read it fast enough. - Worked for a buddy of mine
2) There is a polling rate you can set when you get the MSL - but I have heard sprint forces a particular rate from the tower even if the phone has one set. - This will also decrease battery life.

This may be too obvious of an answer, but have you tried using the device self service tool and updating your profile and prl?

No problem, hope everything works out.
I had the same problem, took it to the sprint store (Waste of time!) and ended up hard resetting it, seems to have fixed the problem. you can hard reset by turning off the phone and then holding down the end, back and home buttons and selecting "clear storage" or "clear user data" (sorry, can't remember the exact wording). It will completely reset the software but it will wipe the data off your phone.
I got her MSL code via the logcat method that was just recently posted and reset her data and also changed her slot index. Although some people say that it is overridden at the tower, I also changed her priority. I updated her PRL as well. Before, it was ringing after I would hear about 3.5 rings, sometimes 4 full rings. Now it's ringing on the second ring. Also, her data was essentially turning off after about 30 minutes. After doing all of the above, she is saying it hasn't stopped working yet.
Thanks for all the suggestions, looks like it might be fixed.
Well it's still not fixed. She has it happen a couple times a day and now my phone is doing it too. It's not happening consistently that I can tell, just seems to randomly stop working.
Also, I'm on Fresh 2.1.2 and I'm getting some really really bad lag. I don't use any custom ringtones, just the ones that came with the phone and sometimes my phone will start to ring and the only way I know is because the vibrate starts. Then a good 3 seconds later I'm still getting a black screen as the phone is trying to tell me who it is.
I will randomly pick up my phone to surf the web too and it won't respond or do anything for like a good 10 - 15 seconds. I open up ES Task Manager and usually one of the mail apps is trying to update with like a 5% - 10% cpu usage, but that's all that has any CPU percentage. I'm not really sure what to try next. I've removed some apps that I don't really use and a couple that I just recently installed just to see if they are the culprit.
I'm using the Launcher Pro Beta too. Maybe that's it?
I've had a similar issue... only happened to me a couple of times since the update though... but I've just been turning "airplane" mode on and then off it turns off the radio and then turns it back on... seems to have worked for me...
again.. for me it's only happened a couple of times since the update to 2.1 so it could be a different issue.
I never thought of airplane mode. Doing what her and I are doing just reconnects data, not turning the radio on and off. I'm going to have her try that next and see if that fixes it. She says that she turns the phone off every night, but maybe she isn't some nights.
I have a Nexus 6P which I bought about 7 months ago. It worked fine for about 3 months, but then the WiFi started giving problems. The WiFi icon will all of a sudden go grey and there is nothing you can do to turn it back on. This has happened several times and the only option you have left is a factory reset. But there is no guarantee that the factory reset will fix the problem either. Sometimes the factory reset will restore the WiFi connection, sometimes not. I have had to send the phone back to Huawei twice for RMA and each time the phone was returned to me with the message that the technicians could not reproduce the problem. Of course, each time I received the phone, the WiFi was working and I could setup the phone. I wouldn't be writing this post if that was the end of my problems. The same WiFi issue has occurred again and now Huawei is refusing to do any further repairs on this phone claiming that they have done all necessary testing and there is nothing wrong with the phone. I can say for sure that there is something wrong with the phone because there have been times when even a factory reset will not fix the problem. I am attaching a picture which shows a blank WiFi screen after a factory reset with no networks visible. This screen is the first thing you need to get past after a factory reset and as you can see from the picture, there is no where to go but back as the front arrow is grayed out. I have updated my phone to Android N and still the same problem.
I will be sending a formal letter of complaint to Huawei management and giving them notice that a Breach of Warranty lawsuit is coming unless they resolve my problem. I have contacted Google tech support and they have been unable to help also. Any suggestions?
Go forwards with your lawsuit. I have one question, have you ever rooted before?

Hey, definitely sounds like a hardware problem but just make 100% sure it's not your router just in case. I've seen problems before with certain routers not communicating properly with certain wireless chipsets, in laptops and in mobile devices. You can always test just by getting on a free wifi at some location. If it doesn't even detect any networks and there are multiple certainly sounds like hardware. You could attempt reinstalling the phone from one of Google's official factory images .. there's a tutorial here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701 (It's for Nexus 5 but the process is the same, just remember the codename for the Nexus 6P is "angler")
Hope you have some luck

I was gonna say if you ever rooted, the vendor image partitions, radio, and bootloader get altered so even if you factory reset back to stock firmware you still need to reflash the correct vendor, and radio so WiFi can work. If you've never rooted before it must be a faulty Wi-Fi chip inside the phone.
I mean not to belittle you, but you have restarted the router and or flushed the DNS?
It started suddenly after a week on the January update, but I downgraded to Dec update and still have the same issues, meaning it's a hardware defect. Already reported this to google. Anyone else?
Had similar issue
I had a similar issue since yesterday. Tried booting into the safe mode to check if any third party app is doing it( If you wanna try that hold the power button then touch and hold the power icon on the screen). If it still stays it is a hardware issue you need to get it repaired. I just gave my phone to Ubreakfixit
Yes it is a hardware issue. Safe mode, factory reset, downgrading the software did not work.
This just happened to me this morning.
what is going on? this literally just happened to me too this morning. I can make calls via whatsapp/facebook etc, but if I try to call anyone it just says "calling" but there's no sound, eventually it cuts off. If someone tries to call me, the phone doesn't ring and I just get the sms saying there's a message in my voicemail. It says I'm on the 4g network, I can send sms messages and wifi works fine. If I have to ship the phone anywhere I'm ****ed, I'll have to buy another phone as a spare :crying:

Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones. I had to go out and soon as I got to the next town a call came in, so I tested making more calls and it worked fine there. Upon returning home the issue returned. I figured it's gotta mean something is up with my provider or the nearby antenna so asked a few friends who live near me and a neighbour. Turns out they all have the same issue. I'll have to wait it out now and see if they fix it. The wierd part is 4g data and sms work fine and I've still got full signal strength or I'd have assumed that right away.

That sounds more plausible than hundreds of Pixels bottom speaker burning out all of a sudden. When the call supposedly comes in does it show on the screen or just go directly to voicemail? That would be the initial test of the speaker. Does it play music, can you hear notifications? Every once in a while that happens to me and then I just try again a mile or so down the road and it connects fine. If you have wifi calling you can try that too.

No, it was the service provider in the end. My whole town had the issue for a couple days. The company (movistar) have fixed it now so I can make calls and recieve them no problem. To say I was relieved is an understatement.
Bottom speaker broke out of nothing
I guess I'm really unlucky, me and my girlfriend got two pixel 4 in black Friday and both of the phones had the same issue, it started having a crackling sound for a few seconds and then the bottom speaker completely died while in a speakerphone call tried a factory reset with no luck, no sounds comes out, my girlfriend had the phone only for a few weeks when that happened, and in my phone happened last week, now we have to figure how to ship the phone back to the US and try to get a refund, since if it breaks again it would be close to impossible for us to ship it back again

Hello everyone
I own a pixel 4 and it has a constant problem.
after operating normally, suddenly for no apparent reason it loses all sounds and vibrations.
also it is not possible to make calls and freezes in various system applications.
sometimes this is solved with a simple restart of the phone, other times a factory reset is necessary and lately it is required to unlock the boot loader to reinstall the factory image and test with which security patch recovers all its functions and returns to function normally.
It started suddenly after a week on the January update
What would be the cause of this failure in the phone?
At first I reported the problem to google and they indicated the same to most of you; restarting the phone or factory reset and how the method worked no longer insisted.
after the February update its operation was normalized, but with the arrival of the May update the same problem returned.
I had to downgrade to the April update, then to the March update and after several attempts it worked again, but a few days later the problem returns and I have to repeat the process.
What arguments should i use to convince google to change the phone or return my money?
I never rooted
Buy the unlocked phone at BHphoto on Black Friday
model G020I
I live in Peru
NOTE: I do not speak English and use the translator.
sorry
I'm on latest Android 11 DP and I noticed that this release removed a lot of bass from the speaker. I think to prevent the clipping and damage of the speaker.

Sorry if this is a stupid suggestion.
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my S10+. One day, my cellphone didn't work suddenly, at that time I was in the basement of a building.
I have a habit of using my cellphone as a road guide through the map, pasting it on the dashboard of my car, where the tool to attach it is right on the car's AC cavity.Maybe because it's too cold, it suddenly doesn't work, and indeed my cell phone feels very cold and immediately OFF.
I tried to revive, but immediately OFF again, even though it has finished booting. Until I have to go into Recovery Mode and I turn it back on. After a few times such conditions, finally my cell phone can turn on, but the LTE signal does not appear, and sometimes appears but the connection is still very slow.
I try to bring it to the Samsung service center, but only do a Factory Reset. But that problem still occurs until now, and finally I just use Wifi only for its connectivity, But if 2G can still be done.
Do you think anyone can help me with this problem? So that my 4G can be back to normal? I've tried using another SIM card to this phone, it's still like that.
Hopely anyone can help me up
Anyone can help
