Maybe just install Skype for PocketPC on youl PPC, and you are ready to go.

Arto.
thanks for the tip, but i use Voipbuster.
It would be easier to just transfer the audio between PC and Magician and i can use any voip software i want on the PC...
I think that at least the MS Stack doesn't provide the headset profile as outgoing BT profile. Maybe other stacks do, I'm not sure. Ask in the Bluesoleil thread.

OT a bit....
We should have the standard protocol for VOIP. If this happend, any VOIP software can connect each other without need of same software/protocol.
Imagine if I can use Skype to call to "Yahoo Messenger with Voice" or Voipbuster.....
Just like normal phone (or handphone), Nokia can call O2......
Today, I need to install both Skype and Yahoo Messenger with Voice because they are not compatible

There is such a standard called SIP, but Yahoo and Skype aren't using it. For SIP, you can use a softphone like X-Ten. Often, calls from SIP to SIP provider are for free.

If Yahoo and Skype doesn't want to use this SIP standard, the SIP standard will maybe become another standard add to Yahoo and Skype standard  .
Just curius, did MSN messenger come to VOIP area too? If so, then #%$&!* to another MS$ standard!

The most common (and maybe only?) standard for VoIP is SIP. Only for the SIP protocol, you can find Wifi phones and analog to SIP adapters which can be used independently from a running computer. That's what makes them so interesting because they can really substitute a normal phone. I myself use this as telephone replacement and it works perfectly. My provider is Sipgate and I have a normal phone number at home, to which I have connected a standard DECT portable through a SIP adapter (Grandstream audio tone). No phone line anymore, only internet (DSL - also cable works).

Terminal Services, Stereo Headset Button and Email Accounts

Hi All,
I've got a few problems that I haven't been able to solve with the TyTn so far. Any suggestions are appreciated:
I can't seem to connect the terminal services client to any of my computers at home over wifi. I'm getting the "The connection to the server has timed out. Try connecting to the terminal server again." message. I can connect to remote desktop from any computer at home (or remotely via ssh). More befuddling is the fact that the TyTn can ping computers on the network (and access shared folders via total commander) and vice versa. I've checked to make sure that my connections setting and the wifi network are both set to the same network (tried both work and internet) and tried using both ip addresses and computer names to access the computers. I also had a look to see if the licensing registry key that caused problems with some handhelds under wm2003 existed (it doesn't).
Another thing I've been trying to figure out is how to customize the button on the bundled headset. My testing of MS VC with bluetooth yielded less than stellar recognition but the wired mic is very reliable and I would like to be able to use it in the car without touching the phone. I'd like to make the headset button activate MS VC instead of voice speed dial when held (I've done the listed steps to disable voice speed dial and replace it with MS VC but VSD still seems to be there and activate when I hold the headset button). I'm hoping there is registry key that controls this button but I haven't been able to locate one yet.
Finally, I would like to be able to add email addresses to poutlook that are the same ones used on my desktop and have them recognized as the same inbox and sync when the devices are synced. My brief look at the controls and the manual didn't seem to indicate a way to do this without exchange. Has anyone done this successfully (or know if it can be done)?
If you've gotten this far I owe you a thank you just for reading this post
I managed to enable the call button on my Jabra BT620 bluetooth stereo headset to start Voice Command - see global registry hacks in the XDA wiki. I assume it will work for a wired headset.
MS Voice Command activation from BT headset:
"Now this one is sweet and makes the JASJAR the daddy for voice commands.
Install Voice Command to the default location.
Fire up a registry editor
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand
Modify the string marked "path" from the default \Windows\SDDialer.exe to \Program Files\Voice Command\?VoiceCMD.exe
Now, when you press your BT headset connect button, MS Voice command will fire up and take commands through the headset. It's reponses will be played through the headset too. "

Thanks for the reply ChrisNash,
The registry modification you refer to works for me as well -- with a bluetooth headset, however, the wired headset button still activates voice speed dial.
Terminal services client
Have you managed to get this to work yet as I've the same problem on my XDA EXEC??????????

I have a problem with Bluetooth in HD2

Hi all
How can I receive file via Bluetooth without PASSKEY?? And how can I make auto acceptance for the receiving?
My device is HTC HD2
Thanks

Can U help me
Receive Bluetooth Files Without Entering a Passkey
By default when a device which is not on your paired devices list is going to send you a file by BT OBEX Push, the BT manager requires a passkey. You can't disable this in the normal control panel but you can in the registry.
Go to HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\BTConfig\Services\0002
Change Encryption from 1 to 0 (to not use a passkey)
Change Authorization from 1 to 0 (to receive all files without asking)
