Sense UI ... anyone see it on any galaxy phobe/

What ever happend to the guys who said they were gonna port sense ui to all galaxy s phones? They said they had done a beta rom but nothibg was ever released.

This is a common theme with the op of this thread.

First you want something other than a Fascinate, now you want SenseUI on your Fascinate...
Something tells me you should just stick with a stock Droid incredible.

its really annoying seeing every post get like 3 or 4 replies from people being rude. if you don't care about the post just ignore it. jesus.
anyway, there was actually a launcher program that someone posted a month ago or so that was basically sense. it wasn't a rom tho just a home replacer

Actually guys there were a bunch of devs that got together and were porting the NEW SENSE over to all Galaxy S phones. They announced a few betas for the epic and captivate. I wanted to know if anyone saw it. Cause there doing a port to the fascinate also.
Ummm and please explain why this topic doesnt belong here. This belongs in this section 100% ill make sure you guys get a chance to bash the 8-10 devs that are working on this.

OMFGB Rom

Im running the OMFGB Rom that I downloaded through
Rom manager, but I don't know what the real name of the
Rom is and can't find a thread on it in the forums.
Can anyone point me to the roms original thread so I can
Keep up with it. I really like the rom..

OMFGB is the name of the ROM.
It was removed from this site because of issues with the developer doing naughty things (I don't know very many details on it).
In other words, I don't think you'll find much support on it- but worth a try I suppose.

you can find more info for it on the developers new site, google R2doesInc if you want to find it.

I'm neural in the whole episode. Just pointing out that when you post like this you actually make the whole dramatic incident more intriguing to those that are unaware (like me)
a simple cliffs would be much more helpful

He released his rom with wares in it... and was banned shortly after.
Devs you think are perfectly fine will do something that displeases the general public here and will disappear shortly after. From then on all you'll hear are cryptic comments about said dev, which as you said, only piques curiosity.
Not too much unlike a mob movie.
I think the whole things kinda silly. I used to like one developer named IncredibleDoes but one day he vanished and all I've read is how "taboo" and unforgivable his actions were. I actually have no idea what happened to him.
This is a place where users become attached to devs. We like their creations, heck some even donate. Still people will disregard this completely in saying "oh no not this again" when someone is genuinely curious.
Also, I think Smokeey was being sarcastic, ridiculing the very thing I am criticizing here.

He also took myns Rom from the evo, from a beta port by incubus I was told and themed it over to call it his own
At first he gave credit but then he slowly deleted it in his posts, oh and this is where the warez was from too
He did then what he's doing now, finding fixes from other peoples roms and puts them in his Rom

I'm not flaming anybody. In fact that sounds like a terrible thing to do and he probably deserves the animosity displayed here. I'm just saying this community cultivates an environment where people will invest emotionally in a developer. So people shouldn't lash out when someone's curious as to why a once respected person has suddenly disappeared. It would help to have a sticky or something regarding developer "departures".

It means he put others work into his and said it was his and he also put paid market items into his rom.

I just find it so funny that the people that defend him the most all ended up as moderators on his site. I'm honestly tired of the advertising.

Ok guys/gals here it goes, Hopefully, this can become a sticky
Im gonna explain why I have decided to create this thread, and then I'm gonna explain what this thread will be all about.
First, why did I create this thread? I have noticed lately alot of members who like to get a little chatty in certain threads...whether its in the general section, dev section or themes & apps. Sometimes we can get a little carried away with our talking and it usually ends up with another member(s) telling these 2,3 sometimes 4 people to stay on topic and stop flooding the thread..Rightfully so. Sometimes, it also goes as far as a mod having to come into the thread, spend time cleaning it up, and then hand out bans, warnings, etc etc...rightfully so.
So, whats this thread all about? It's simple...THERE ARE NO TOPICS! we as XDA members sometimes like to talk..period! Within this thread we can talk about whatever we want...your fav rom, your fav theme, your fav theme with fav rom, other phones, cars, tv's, dslr camera, your job, where you live, post pictures of random cool things..etc etc.
The great thing about this is there will be NO going off topic, no warnings about going off topic, no being sent on vacation etc etc. This DOES NOT mean you now have the right to disrespect other members. This simply means you are now free to talk about whatever it is you want. Just as if we were all sitting around a camp fire with a beer in each hand...good ol' conversation!
The only thing I can ask of this is remember every member will and has there own opinion about anything that may get mentioned in this thread...PLEASE respect that! Don't be rude to other members, don't start fighting. This thread is our chance to finally go "off topic" without any harm.
This thread can be fun...I noticed alot of people who like to talk...so lets do this.
ps. Just because I created this thread does not mean in any way that I am gonna run it or be in control...oh helll no lol. This thread is for all of us to run and have fun. I suspect we are all mature enough to keep this thread fun, clean, stupid (you know how you get stupid sometimes, but it's funny lol) funny, and also help other people out with anything that gets talked about.
So, what do you guys say? Lets do this or what?
Now, im off for the night/early morning...my little girl will not go to sleep no matter what I do. It's been playtime for her for the last 17 hours or so...she is like that dang energizer bunny....I seriously don't get it...she needs sleep! lol

I think its dumb you guys locked the ics thread. Regardless if it was drews actual post or not the whole point of android is do what you want and ics and a port and thread and comments and rants and what not is the whole point of forums like this. Hello nexus s development has not one thing on it about ics. That should seem odd. Maybe I need to fire up my nexus one. How can we progress if u take away the online progress. I understand the guy has his own site and what not but that was are only insight into ics on xda. And we use the only phone that's going to get it first . Stop being online nerds. And let people complain there going to do it anyways. And then its too complicated they way you want it. Every post is not going to to as nice a professional as a cm thread. ICS and Jellybean Rom Discussion Thread

I figured I would open this thread due to the all the hooey going on and also the clogging up of Kushdeck's and JaredtheGreat's ICS thread no longer on here, and with preludedrew not posting his roms on XDA. Any questions or issues are welcome and anyone that can help,can feel free to assist. No links will be posted here. Please follow @preludedrew on Twitter for updates and downloads. I've been running the rom for the last 24+ hours. I'm really impressed with how stable it has been. It has some issues mainly dealing with the gallary/camera and setting photos as things etc. but still, for it's alpha stage it's not bad.
I applied the car-o-dope settings and it seemed to calm it down a bit also. These roms should get real fun here soon!

Agreed and the battery life is outstanding. The gallery seems to settle down after a while, but I've been using Quickpic as a picture gallery and makes setting wallpaper and cropping much easier...it works well with ICS and I've gotten no fc's using it. Its free in the market and is a great alternative to stock gallery

You don't have to be a twitter fan, it takes 2 seconds to create an account and search who you want to follow, and check it periodically...keep it as an app on your phone so you don't have to keep signing in all the time. I recommend following @kushdeck as well because he posts test builds not available on XDA also, actually he just posted his alpha 4 build with working camera a little bit ago...

Yeah, I love how everyone was freaking out about a link being posted without even knowing whether or not Drew would be against it. Download links are visible to everyone with an internet connection... there shouldn't be a restriction on posting them.

The problem is with noobs flashing the Rom and something going wrong or running into problems and asking. the noobish questions that the Op isn't qualified to answer. The reason he doesn't care about people posting a link is because he doesn't have to deal with all the noobs and a-holes...

Except noobs flash ROMs and ask repetitive questions all of the time.. Why should we care if someone foolishly flashes a ROM they know nothing about? In any of the other threads, users ask questions which are 9 times out of 10 answered by other users, rather than the devs themselves.

For the last time...that wasn't the issue.... IT WAS IN THE WRONG SECTION that dude developed nothing you look up and see Aamikam look down and see Kushdeck and this a - hole strarted a thread to post a link to somebody elses Rom in the middle of these REAL devs ....when you post a Rom in the dev section you need to be available to address any issues it causes, bug fixes, improvements not drop a link and bone out...

Care to elaborate sir? Try wiping cache and dalvik cache then fix permissions, then reboot should help whatever your experiencing...

So we couldn't have a thread with a link in it in the development section because the OP wasn't qualified to answer questions, so you open a thread that serves the same exact purpose WITHOUT a link to the ROM? If you think I'm here to troll you are sorely mistaken, I merely am posting my thoughts in a thread, just as you are doing. I fail to see anything I've said or done to make myself more of a troll than you or anyone else here.

You call him an A-hole for posting a thread in hopes of clearing clutter from other threads, and I'M the troll?
The thread was perfectly at home there. It is a ROM in active development made by a dev who no longer posts here; but he has no problem with his work being posted alongside proper credit. The OP posted it to give room for development conversation.
There are multiple threads set up like this.. the CM threads, for example. After being posted, the poster usually never comes back and all questions and concerns are answered by users like us.
Posting that thread in the development section gave room for people who create mods to share their work, as well as to discuss different ideas regarding the fixing of certain bugs.
