Ok, first off, yes, ive searched through general and development, but havent found anything that helped me to get it working. Ive downloaded the latest version of kies, set my tab to the original launcher, made sure debugging is off, and connected tab to computer, win7 64 bit. It scans for a few seconds then tells me my device is not supported? What do i need to do?

dont worry - the forums are getting bigger by the second and even i cant find the four other threads where ive answered this question
to connect to kies you must be using the stock launcher so
1. install homeswitcher
2. use it every time you want to connect to kies

Did that, several times. No go. Still tells me device is unsupported? I also just installed kies on my laptop to see if maybe it was windows 7, but still wont work. Are there possibly some drivers im missing for it that need to be installed on computer?

hmmm... try reinstalling drivers through kies (its in the dropdown menu), restarting and repeating as in my original post
With or without tab connected? Guessing without since it doesnt recognize my tab.
Edit, still didnt work.

Same issue here to, after update of kies to 1.5.3.10103.100 lost connection to tab all together...
edit.. its working again..had to set it to mass storage then change again to kies??
Well, after flashing the euro firmware last night, kies recognizes my tab now.

My bad, not asking anyone. Just updating my thread. I know there were a bunch of people having issues with kies. Just posting that kies sees my tab now that ive flashed a different firmware.

I guess that the current version of Kies does not support the north american firmware version yet...
Oh well... hopefully they'll release an update soon.
Did anyone get this to work with CDMA equipment?

Kies didn't recognize you T-mobile Tab and you then flashed with a Euro firmware and now it works + that Kies now thinks you have a GTP-1000 instead of a SGH-TXXX.
Do you know if Kies will work to do future updates?
Reason for asking is that I have a T-mobile model and I want to make it a GTP-1000.
Yes, that is exactly right. Before i flashed the euro rom, i would constantly get the device not recognized or whatever. As soon as i flashed i decided to check again, and it found it immediately. Im unsure about future updates though.

I have broken my Tab
I have a GT-P1000 and I'm in Australia and my carrier is Vodafone
I have been searching trying to find the steps on how to restore my phone but everytime I try load firmware onto my phone in Odin it fails
I know I am doing something wrong

hi i try to update my galexy note 7000 PDA thorough Odin3-v1.85 but i think i hv placed wrong file File Name-I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar.md5.
And now the phone desent shw any display but i can head the booting sound .

9100 is sgs2 not note. Try flashing the correct file trough pc odin

I think the clue is in the file you used. I9100 is a samsung galaxy s2 and you have a galaxy note n7000. I think you should read the forums before atempting anything on your phone as people around here will not help when you should have done your reasesrch before flashing your phone with galaxy s2 firmware.
As for your problem can you get your phone in odin mode.

hi everyone ,
i have a samsung galaxy tab P1000 which have been upgraded to gingerbread official update by samsung via kies.
and i also root my device.
Unfortunately two days ago one of my friend baby who was playing game on it, he did factory setting reset
After that some of the keys of keyboard are not working nor its connecting to my Pc via kies
i did hard reset also but its still not working Any help Plz ????

You're in the wrong forum. This is just for galaxy tab 7.7. Try to look for the p1000 forum. You'll find everything there about your device.

Bought a Samsung Tab 4 8" in the US and tried to flash the NL firmware onto it found on Sammobile:

For this i used Odin and followed the instructions but i get a message on the Tab 4
Security fail: [slb1]
Tried this with the tablet in normal mode an in usb debug mode after turning on the developer options, but that made no difference.
Since it's not that of a big deal to work with the English language and i don't want it bricked i left it at that, but i still would like to know if someone succeeded in doing this?
Hello, I found a solution for the language problem. When I bought the tablet in Canada I couldn't choose much languages. Dutch was for example not visible, after a reset (menu button /volume up/ power button) choose for factory reset. I was able to choose which language I want so as told by some people the languages are there but not visible is true. So I installed it now like I want it..... Maybe a solution for others.....
