New firmware on seus. - XPERIA X8 General

Just tried using seus to reflash my x8 due to brick. And it says there's new firmware available, anyone tried it? New features? Didn't update incase of loosing root. Used x10 flash instead.

About a week ago i have downgrade to 1.6 (donut)
I just curius about donut because i haven't seen it before.i got my x8 in eclair state.
After i done with it,i use SEUS to upgrade to eclair again.
I have already run SEUS for 2.1update1 so i have the SEUS DB download at my laptop.
When i do the update, SEUS download data about 106mb
before this time it's download about 126mb.
I don't see any difrences after the updates.
just my Model name From x8 changed to e15i
maybe it because i downgrade to donut

There is none.
Maybe thats the 2nd release of 2.1? With ANT+ stuff.

Ok thanks for replys, still rootable then?

If it isnt then go back with Flashtool and Flash 2.1.1.A.0.6

can you tell exact version? is it 2.1.1.A.0.6 or newer?

Not sure but i have backup of generic firmware I can check but how i can extract this img files?

Open system.img with aZuZu XPERIA Android Series Kitchen and then go to [ Build Properites Editor] and voila - you'll see the CDA

My experience is that if you update with PCC the baseband won't be ...015, and the build won't be the newest. But with SEUS iit will be. And then you are able to install 2.2 floyo. So I prefer SEUS.

Please be gentle. X10a question

Ok I am a complete noob when it comes to this phone stuff. I have an AT&T X10a running on a straight talk sim.
I am running
firmware version: 2.1-update 1
Baseband version: 2.1.65
Kernel vesion: 2.6.29
build number: 2.1.A.0.492
I am trying to debrand the phone and clean it up and make it faster. I have been reading for the last 9 hours and all I have been able to do is root it, and install xrecovery and busybox. Can anyone tell me what I am missing?
Thank you for reading and giving me some help
You have to flash a generic firmware with FlashTool onto it and it'll be debranded.
I can't post links with the xda app atm but all you need is in the X10 Android Development section.

WOW!!!
That has to be some of the quickest answers I have ever gotten on a forum. Thank you I will go look there again.
Just came on a minute after you posted and I knew the answer. So I answered you
Btw, when you're still on 2.1 you can also flash a pre-rooted generic 2.3.3 ROM.

That is just a certifying thingy. Releasing the firmware is based on SE. If you notice, there are so many versions never exists in the real world .
The .283 was a pre-release only for nordic countries, the rest of you buggers will get .42 in a few days.

I don't think that. I have arc with 4.0.1.A.0.283 firmware and active with 4.0.1.A.0.284 firmware and they both have Android 2.3.4. They are world generic so you are wrong. And I am from Croatia by the way.
Some german users reported to get the update.

I dont know how and why, my LT15 .368 was updated to .42, skipping 283. One thing I noticed is Companion was not able to update my ARC, instead I use standalone updater from Sony and without any trouble, it was updated to .42
My arc was previously 368 rooted. .42 is lightweight for sure but seem no auto brightness feature in DISPLAY.

Latest up to date software (2.3.5)

Hey pple been resarching and latest seems to be 2.3.5. When i search in kies says i have latest which is 2.3.3. How can i update?
If its been asked before sorry
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
The updates are available but not at the same time and not in all countries. It depends on in what country you live and what branding the phone has.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Android version 2.3.5 is leaked, if you want it you'll have to flash it via Odin. The latest - official- version of Android is 2.3.4 but as stated previously, it depends on what country you live in/your phones brand/etc.
Im in australia. How can i check if im branded?

Yeah, battery life is pretty damn good now.
I'm running stock too.
Oh, and the sound is better.
Go here to get the latest stock firmware..

Read the 1st few posts to get a handle on how to flash his stuff.
Forget keis. Anything you can get through keis is here on xda and quicker to flash.
I'm using KI3 with Optus.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I'm running KI4 (2.3.5) and DUKF4 modem (3 Australia) and get good battery life plus data connectivity. On Optus in Perth and get H+ in some areas.
The DUKF4 modem has worked best for me. I have flashed other ROMs and with those modems all I got was Edge connectivity.

Follow my previous link and read the 1st few posts.
Intratechs firmwares are official if they are not classed as Frankenstein.
They are not rooted either.
Just follow that link and see if your areas firmware is listed or listed in the link in his threads 1st post. It's the same as you get off keis.

No, it doesn't. The only trick is to restore the system folder to it's original state, because the update fails. I'm with 62 rooted in that way.
Come on guys, so much threads about .62 root, so use these threads.
