New market again? - Vibrant General

Ok so I keep trying to flash the ugly green market with the transparent blue one I have. Its been fine for weeks but now after I flash it, it will go to stock shortly after again. Is there someway I can shut the market update off or get a more up to date transparent market?
Thanks

I used Titanium Backup and froze Market Updater. This seems to have worked my custom market has not changed since then.

Thats true but you have to have the donate version to be able to freeze it.

Gotta pay to play...

About app updates...

I did a factory reset on my phone and restored all my apps through titanium backup. However, when I go to downloads in the marketi don't ee my installed apps listed.having said that, do you guys know if updates will be affected? Are they based on the apps installed or the apps listed under downloads in the market? Thanks in advance!

Try market doctor in titanium backup. It can be accessed by pressing the menu button on paid version. Not sure about free version.

I personally use atrackdog for my updates as not all my apps show up in the market due to the same ordeal.

If you redownload it will fix the market link or like mentioned before you can get the donate version of Titanium Backup.
Its no big deal either way.
It shows up now... Though I may have to check the download tab myself for updates which really isn't a big deal. I'll try the suggestions you guys have me if needed in the future again. Thanks : )

Dk28 issues with te market

Hello everyone. I am running an epic rooted and running 2.2 froyo dk28. Everything was working fine until this morning, I can't update any apps or download any new apps even the paid for ones. The status would show downloading sign for a couple seconds then it would just dissappear from the notifications. Is anybody experiencing the same issues? Please advise.

every once in awhile the market, will do this..
Wait about an hour and try again and it should work.
happens to me every now and then. I usually just do a battery-pull re-boot and that usually fixes things.
Thanks guys. I'll try again in an hour and I'll try the battery pull reboot.

not a problem also here is another tip, if for some reason your downloaded apps from the market dont show up in your my app or my downloads in the market:
goto settings/Applications/market/then clear data and it will fix that market issue too..
Battery pull didn't work. Btw what version are you running? 2.1? 2.2? I keep thinking that the market has already updated so that DK28 softwares can't upgrade or use the market anymore because they are preparing for the new froyo(official, set to be released Feb 21). Still can't update apps or install new apps. I also have used only half of my rom space. About 60-70% has been moved to SD card via a2sd app.

I am using dk28 2.2 as well. The battery pull trick would always fix my issue, but maybe try clearing the data and cache for the market like davidrules said. Also, this is a long shot in the dark, but try updating your "profile" under system updates.

Try uninstalling updates through Settings>Applications>Manage applications>All>Market
Cheers
Cant uninstall updates if on cherryblur since its built in, it hasnt been updated. I also need the old market, since you cant download some apps. All the THD games in the Tegra zone does not show a download button, im guessing since the market doesnt know I'm on an atrix and its not compadible?

Had this problem as well. Change your apn to AT&T US. I couldn't download large files on AT&T HSDPA for some reason.
It is AT&T us but now whenever I go to install or updated something I get message of insufficient space ? But I have 1.4 gb free.

Slow market

Who else finds the new market slow and laggy? I prefer the old one. Is there any way to go back to the old one without changing roms?

Market always sucked for me.. takes forever to load, and displays a blank page most of the time... complete garbage.
Go to manage applications, select the market app and select uninstall updates .

in addition to the uninstalling of the updates, you should also to block the market updater (with apps like titanium backup). if not, your market will update itself everytime.
Is there any other way to get the old market back because uninstalling the updates is still the same market.

as I said, you have to block the market updater.
Can't say I've had any problems.
Market just updated again to v.3.1.5 on KG3. No lag for me.

It seems to be worse for me lately, although given that I seem to change ROMs every other day, maybe I just haven't noticed it so much before. But often I too get a blank page when trying to install apps, or otherwise have general unresponsiveness. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference, but perhaps try clearing the data for the market app? However, I've basically resorted to doing push installations from the market at the Android website, seems to be the only reliable way to install apps for me lately
It's slow for loading the pics (which is pretty much the entire thing), but once those load, it's fast and responsive for me. I as well prefer the old one.
For those who can't use the "uninstall updates" to roll back their market version to 2.x.x you can try this:

1. When you need to update an app/game, you don't have to uninstall it.
2. Which rom and lcd density are you using?
Widget lockers policy has always been uninstall then download. Hyperdroid gbx, 160 density
