Pressing and holding the main button on my BT headset won't initiate voice dialing unless my screen is on and unlocked.
Double tapping the button redials the last call even if it is locked.
This combined with the lack of confirmation before dialing makes this feature next to useless.
My headset is a Plantronics Voyager Pro and I have tested it with a second Plantronics Voyager Pro.

i have an HTC wizard with WM5 and i am using a plantronic bluetooth headset that works great except that when i press the button on the headset i cannot make the phone activate the windows built in voice dialing. The button works fine to comnad the phone to hang up ans answer a call. does anyone know ho to have the bluetooth headset button activate the builting voice dialing ?
Hold that same button in that you use to answer/hang up until you hear a beep. Then you will see your phone switch to the voice dialing screen and you will hear one more beep. After that just speak the command you want to execute and the system will re-play the command back to you if it recognizes it. Works great on my 640!
Help. I have the sleuth ptt fix installed and all the bluetooth tweaks. However, the mic quality of my motorola h700 is terrible and my device (using voice command 1.6) rarely gets the contact or number right unless I hold my bluetooth mic in front of my mouth.
I have grown accustomed to using the included headset but the button on the headset activates voice speed dial instead of voice command. I can't figure out how to fix this so that the button activates voice command and can disconect when i am finished with a call.
I have had a Jabra BT Headset for a couple of years and it works well. I have recently purchased a XCarLink with BT and am now using this in my car instead of the headset. One thing that I liked about the headset was how it worked with M$ Voice Command - i.e. press the 'Talk' button and Voice Command would start and you could say 'call xxx' etc. With the XCarLink if I press the 'Talk' button this justs stops any music that was playing but doesn't start Voice Command.
Is there any tweak I can apply to get this behaviour?

More testing......
I have been doing some more testing with this as the Jabra BT headset stopped activating Voice Command...
Anyway I have tested a couple of different versions of Voice Command (1.6.19214 & the one from the Diamond 1.6.19581) and both behave the same. If A2DP Joint Stereo is enabled (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings - UseJointStereo=1) then the 'Talk' button on the BT headset no longer activates Voice Command. If Joint Stereo is disabled the 'Talk' button activates Voice Command (after a soft-reset).
I haven't had time to check the behaviour with the XCarLink but I will post the results when I do.
If anyone has any experience with this or knows a fix then I'd appreciate it.

Anyone been able to get voice dialling working from the Xcarlink? I just bought one and am having the same problems.
I have a Plantronics Voyager Pro headset. I've used this with my previous phone, a BB 8900. When the headset is on, it connects to the MT4G and if I make a call, it will automatically use the headset. However, if the headset is on and I recieve a call, a menu opens on the phone and askes where to send the audio. I'd like to set it so that it always chooses the headset if it's on. That's how the 8900 used to work.
Right now, once I answer the call, there's a pause while I select the Voyager Pro out of the menu. Does anyone know how to set this?
Thanks,
Dave
l've found that if you depress the headset button instead of touching the screen during the ring, your phone will answer and use the BT headset without the prompt.
If you touch the screen first, you're screwed.
Hey, thanks! I didn't even think of that. I'll give it a try. I was used to my BB automatically connecting to the BT if it was on. You get a big "Thanks" button for that one.

So I recently got a Plantronics Voyager Edge headset and noticed an interesting bug...
Every function appears to work fine. I can communicate with the phone via voice through the headset. And if I search for a business or something and hit the call button in the search results, everything works fine.
If, however, I dial a number manually or select a number from my contacts - the call isn't immediately sent to the headset. I have to toggle the speaker phone and then back to the headset to get the call to go through the headset.
Anyone had this issue? If so, is there a fix you're aware of?
