Hello everyone, I have some questions about listening to music I did a search on the forums, but couldn't find an answer.
How can I fix that the music player stops when I turn off the screen when no earphone is plugged in?
Is there a way to set the music volume lower when the earphone is plugged in, now I need to set the sound to the lowest sound bar (wich cannot be done by the volume buttons) and when I stop I listening music I need to put it back on the normal level (60%).
Is it possible to listen to music with my earphones when the phone is on vibrate mode?
I use sennheiser earphones.
I have already a register editor installed so editing won't be a problem.
Thank you for your time

If you go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448141, it will show you how to set up Gyrator. One of the things which you can make Gyrator do is turn the screen off (if for example you were to turn the HD face down), but make sure you set "Turn Screen Off" and not "Suspend Device." Suspending the device is what happens when you press the power buttom which causes the music to cut off. This might be possible to obtain with Gsen and changeScreen, though i have not tried.

You can set the volume to the lowest bar by draging it down with your finger instead of the physical vol buttons. Another way is to go to settings (in TF3D) and then sound and set it from there. (I hope this answers this question, as I'm not really sure what you're asking....sorry)

Yes and No, what is possible is to listen to music(at any volume you'd like) and have the phone vibrate like you want. Why no?, because technically the phone is not set to vibrate.....but the same thing is obtained; if someone calls, the phone will not ring and only vibrate.
In order to obtain this, make sure you have Ring & Vibrate (or Vibrate only) enabled as your normal Ring profile (once again in settings/configurationsTab(TF3D)>Sounds; obtainable through windows too). Then set your system sound to w/e you want the music to be playing at and the ring sound all the way down. This way the phone will not ring (0 volume) but still vibrate.
If any of this was unclear, I appologize (writing from memory)
Post if you need help
Does anyone know if the Vibrant is capable of controlling the ringer volume with the volume buttons. Basically I want to lower the ringer with volume key which when all the way down will activate vibrate mode.
The silent mode that is activated through the power button or drop down menu does not put the phone on vibrate. It requires you to go via settings and activating it.
On my mt3g the volume pad controls the ringer but on the Vibrant it controls the media volume. Is there a way to switch to ringer volume?
THanks
The only time the volume keys don't control the ringer is when you are listening to music or watching a video
Sent from my Vibrant using XDA app
thanks, that makes some sense except I am not listening to music or watching a video. i will check to see if the media is playing in the background.
Hi to all,
I have noticed a big drop in ringtone volume if music is playing when a call comes in.
It is so low that I can often not hear the ringtone at all. This is with it set at maximum before the turning on the music. Attempting to Change the media volume makes no difference in the ringtone volume.
If I switch off the music then test by calling the phone, the ringtone comes through the headset at full volume. Turn on the music and try again, I can barely hear it.
I can only tell by the muting of the music as the call comes in. Notification volume seems unaffected.
Have any of you noticed this issue as well? Any fixes?
Thanks in advance.
I have a focus flash Mi7Rom
I would like to know if anyone has the same issue.
In Vibrate mode, when you are listening music with a headphone and someone call you, the music will not fade out. You can feel the vibration but no ringtone being played.
In Ring+vibrate mode, under the same situation, music will fade out and ringtone is playing from both headphone and the phone speaker.
Is there anyway to change the setting in vibrate mode where music will fade out with ringtone play when call is coming?
If my phone is in my jacket and someone call me when I was listening music, i would missed that call.
Same things apply to SMS. No notification sound in vibrate mode.
I'm not sure why you think this is a problem. The phone is not supposed to play audio notifications in vibrate mode. If you want the phone to play audio notifications or "ring" then use the ring + vibrate mode. As you mentioned in your post that mode does exactly what you need.
Also, as of now WP7 does not have a mode which plays back audio notifications only through the line out and not through the phone speaker.
Many times I have my phone is in my jacket that I couldn't feel the vibration
If the phone would fade out the music and play my ringtone, then I could have answered those missed calls.
coming from IOS, it's kinda inconvenient.
Do Not Disturb has three options:
Total Silence
Alarms Only
Priority Only
None of these options offers the ability to set calls and texts to vibrate but allow you to continue listening to a music or podcasts app.
For example: I work 9am-6pm, so I want my DnD hours to be 8:50am-6:10pm. However, I'm often still driving to work from 8:50-9am. My music apps won't play any sound after 8:50. They will continue to "play" but be muted.
Has anyone else resolved this? I've thought about using Tasker, but this means I have to manually set the following Audio actions: alarm volume, bt voice volume, dtmf volume, haptic feedback, in-call volume, media volume, notification volume, ringer volume, sound effects, system volume, etc.
Another example: I want my phone to be vibrate-only while I'm at work, but I want to be able to play YouTube videos and hear them on my lunch break without manually changing my DnD settings.
When your phone is on vibrate, media volume is unaffected. Dnd affects all volume. It sound like you might want to do some Tasker profiles for vibrate.
