2.2 ota root bounty - Wildfire General

You think if a bounty was setup to reward the first confirmed software root for 2.2 ota would encourage some development? You know money talks.

Way to go HTC!
From what I've heard the 3d may be locked down
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
I think it's too close to release for the evo 3d to be changed, or at least that will be their excuse I'm sure. They built it into the hardware after all.
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
wow didn't know it was a hardware thing, that would really cripple the sales for devs and ppl like me who like full access to everything in the phone. I hope they can unlock it through a software update.
Sent from your Mom's Jitterbug
The cryptography and sign checking is supposedly built in to hardware. If the software can tell the hardware to ignore it, then maybe... But that may or may not be possible.

This is making me appreciate my shift even more

I believe they confirmed in emails that the Evo3D will be unlocked.

What'd I miss?
I'm still on v8, was told v15 & 16 are very good. However, it looks like xda has decided to stop giving us access to one of the best roms I've used on the old dhd.
