unzip, copy to HTC HD2 and start the .exe

Interesting Detail: The Rom Version 1.60....
Seems they are internally building at those versions!

Tested and working no pink spots plus the auto focus is much quicker
Not working for me on Windows 7 x64... Trying now from Windows XP Mode
EDIT: Whops, never mind... it has to be executed from the device
Just a quick one, when opening and downloading from the device itself, where do the files get stored? Is it temporary like in windows?

After update - Version 6.26 (Build 1920.3026)
Works great on my phone (1.48 ROM). No problem with flash either.
Now I want the fix for the Bluetooth.
Installed it and now the flash is gone! wtf?
Update: eerr It's normal I guess, I'm low on battery ...?

Nevermind. It just wants the first 15 digits. I was just skipping a 2 in it, for some reason. It worked.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the HardSPL allow for any ROM to be loaded?

Yes.
Installs just fine on phone with hardspl and custom rom -- I've done it.

Thanks for the link. It worked fine for me, and didn't take very long. 6.5 uses a lot more memory than did 6.1, but no problems.

hmm, I thought 6.5 would take a windows 7 effect giving you more features with less required resources...I cant wait for the official to come out for Sprint...

The differences between WM6.1 and WM6.5 are worthwhile, in my opinion...but better resource utilization isn't one of the benefits.
Disclaimer: My opinion of "worthwhile" may be different than others...but I can't imagine anyone preferring 6.1 over 6.5 unless minimum resource-utilization is their primary criterion.

Possibley an ignorant question but this is my first window mobile device. Despite searching there is just too much info for me to figure it out on my own.
Is this a good version of WM 6.5 to update my UNLOCKED Touch Pro 2 with or will it re-lock my phone to T-mobile? I am in Canada am currently on the Fido network.
Also I am running WM 6.1 currently and have never upgraded a phone before.
I appreciate everyone's helpful advice.

So what happens to all my purchased apps? Do they transfer over? Coreplayer for example, I paid like 30 bucks for that. Would I lose it if I go to 6.5??

If you got a serial number, you probably are covered. But you might want to contact vendor first to make sure.

I haven't had a problem so far (with many different roms flashed). The paid-for apps accept the same "key" or serial number as I've used before.
Of course...that doesn't mean that all apps-companies are as nice....so yeah, might want to check first.
Is this for Tmobile US? If so is there any difference with the leaked version?

T-Mo US: Yes.
Same as leaked version (from 7-Jan)?: IDK. Some insist "yes"...which seems likely, but I don't know if that's been proven. I think they appear to be the same.
just curious. I have sprint. What happens if I use this?
hey iv been trying to get the htc ime to work but it wont run on any builds that it isnt already built into it just crashes am i doin something wrong?

The download works for me. I have also had trouble installing the HTC IME - ADB crashes when it tries to install it...looks like it's complaining about the CPU version. I will try this one soon. I'm getting tired of the chinese keyboard popping up....

I think if some one call you and you picked up the phone. But don´t know what it exactly do maybe problems with proximity sensor or something like that. Htc can get award for the badest discriptions by support updates. Sometimes you find also thing like. This give the user a better experience
I downloaded from the HTC link, placed RUU_LEO08762_20100423.exe on my computer & LEO08762.exe (Actually HTC HD2_LEO08762.exe) onto my Storage Card.
Ran the RUU no problems. However when I run the 2nd file on my HD2, it reports, 'This hotfix is not compatible with your device.'
Tried rebooting & rerunning it.

2.10.50.08.2
15.37.50.07U
1.66.405.2.76641 WWE
(UK, T-mobile)
Any suggestions?
I think you only need to run it once. I also tried running it through the phone the first time and also gave me the "not compatible" error. Used the PC file then it went through. The only difference I notice is my radio shows 2.10. My ROM is 1.66.405 WWE.

I suppose these are device lockups on incoming calls or sms. Older roms suffered badly with such problems.

when you ask a question, it helps if you specify the rom you're using, what you're trying to update or do. just posting an error msg is no help.
more details the better...

yeah, sorry about that. I could never figure out what was actually wrong. so I broke down and switched to hd2o's rom which was fully updated. SO i have it now. thanks for all you help and sorry for the post thing.

glad you took my original advice from days ago and use a rom that is simpler to install. and actually, you'll have to reflash once hd2o updates his rom with the official tango.
It is what it is. I made a backup so it really should be that big of a problem. the marketplace is the main reason I finally gave up. It should be simple to install a new rom now that I have the hang of it.

there reall no way to backup/restore a wp7 installation. when you flash the next version from the dev you'll have to set up everything again.
marketplace issue? marketplace works fine on yuki..all the roms. anyway, enjoy your wp7.

go look at leo advanced in the rom forum. don't know if it'll work on hd2o's rom
I'll get back to you on that one. downloading now. Doesnt work on hd2o's rom. keeps backing out of the application.

try installing the app immediately after flashing the rom and and the hard reset. hope you hard reset after flashing the rom...you should always hard reset after the initial flash.
