Overclocking Eclair Liberated Aria - HTC Aria General

I know there are froyo and CM 7 Gingerbread but I like R012 because of its speed plus the sense. The only thing is there a overclock kernel for eclair? Will a froyo kernel work? Thanks for taking time to look at post.

I installed biffmod twice on my G1. Each time it was much slower than stock CM6...

I tied many 2.1 and 2.2 ROMS but I always return to SuperD. For me it's the fastest and most stable ROM for daily use.
Yeah if your goin 1.6 I would have to say super d or supercsdi for sure

Refined the user interface, improved the soft keyboard and copy/paste features, and added support for NFC....
Awsome. Would you recomend swapping from froyo to gingerbread? And if so are there any recomended roms to use?

kernal for honey sence 3.0 once again

i am running the kernal that came with the honey sence3.0 once again rom. is there a better kernal out there? i came from cm7 with smart ass 1.8mhz kernal and i am dying from not being able to overclock past the 1.0mhz that the kernal is currently running, if anyone can thread a better kernal i would appreciate it. also can i use any 2.3.3 kernal for the rom?? my question is does the kernal just have to match the version of android cuz the 1.8mhz smartass runs on 2.3.4, can i use it on the honey sence 3.0? thanks!!!!!!!
Use faux's gingerbread sense kernel
sent from my Google Nexus 12! yup I'm from the future

what is the best g1 rom

Right know I'm running cm6.1 I also got the mytouch rom running
I use rom manager I don't see to much activity there just wondering if
There something better then cm6.1
it depends on if you want donut, eclair, froyo, sense or gingerbread. my favorite gb is cm7 magpie since it has cm features and it's pretty fast. i woul choose froyo by laszlo for froyo. i haven't tried many eclair/donut roms for g1. if you want a fast rom but don't care about features, go with xillius donut or ezgingerbread.
SenseLX good sense rom still getting updates

Kernels for Sense 2.1 ROM

Hello, i have virtuous 2.0 rom installed, and i'd like to get some info about kernels before flashing anything, if you have any advice or experience with this rom and tried kernels on it it would be nice to let me know, i did some research but i am kinda lost, was going to put Unity kernel but then i thought i have 2.3.3 and i read it is for 2.3.4>. Anyway thanks in advance.
Oh and one last thing are there many Sense 2.1 ROMS, iknow virtous and InsertCoin.
Some other 2.1 ROMS
eVil has 2 mytouch ROMS - one is a slide the other is not
bsbokc has a mytouch rom (myVision 2.3.4)
virtuous had 1.0.2 before the 2.0
siulmagic has paradox (2.1 + 3.0 widgets like insertcoin)
suilmagic has Synergy (2.1 + 3.0)
I think there was a leedroid that was 2.1 but I could be wrong.
There is an archive out there of many of the ROMS @ http://xda.niksie.nl/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&view=viewcategory&catid=6&Itemid=1, I have nothing to do with it, but many thanks to Niksie

Manythanks to you friend for the link provided, i think i have some more to learn, android world moves so fast ^^
i'll experiment some more and see.
Oh one more question, do i need to install SetCPU or OC'd kernels are already pre-configured to mange cpu frequencies and voltages? or maybe there is a file to modifiy or customize?
Most 2.1 Rom's will use setcpu as the other oc's came out more on the 3.0 sense roms. Also check in the /etc for a virtuous directory, if there you can edit the files there to increase the clocks as well, but you will need to know what values to use as well.
