Nothing beats the Fora Dictionary. Most of the eBook readers support fora dictionary and yes it is offline. Another good alternative is StartDict.

My phone thinks I am in Europe

I'm on DJ_Steve's 1.9 and I set the setting for US160, but the market and apps still think it is a UK phone. Any way to tell it I'm in America?

iWnn IME: why and how did it come pre-loaded on my Nexus 7?

Hey All,
My Nexus 7 just arrived SIB (sexy in box) and I noticed an IME in the selection list labeled "iWnn IME" for Japanese input.
From what I can gather, it's put together by a company called OMRON and has some pretty interesting features (personal dictionary sync across devices, context prediction, etc.).
How did these guys come pre-installed on a stock Google device? What am I missing here?
No idea. I just disabled that one and the Chinese one too.

I had Korean, Chinese Pinyin and iWnn IME Japanese on my tablet as well, all disabled but not removable.
Have a theory it's there for the sake of compatibility. I remember from browsing on PCs I would see weird box shapes on certain websites when in fact it was because I was missing chinese/japanese language packs.
I am japanese, however I wonder it too. Why?

Well, it seems to work 모ㅓ요유대놑ㅎㅈ챹ㅈ is Korean for something although I have no idea what it says and hope no offence is taken
.
According to GTranslate " All ㅓyoyudaenot ㅎ ㅈ ㅈchyat", which helps me not!

For other reasons, I did a factory reset and those apps (iWinn IME, Korean Keyboard, etc) all went away with the other problem.
A reset is good.

iWnn IME
This is an emoji keyboard and works fantastic with the device.
You can delete it using titanium backup

com.google.android.inputmethod.latin.dictionarypac k.Dictionary Provider

This process is making up most of my network usage according to BetterBatteryStats. Any idea how I can get rid of it? I don't have Latin enabled as a language...

I could be so wrong, but I think this is basic that you even can type an alphabet
Hahaha. OP, Latin is a dead language. However, it's alphabet is used for many languages.

Samsung music app

Hi guys, does anybody know if there's a way to change letters that you tap and they take you to a song? Cuz system language on my sgs4 is Russian but all my songs are English and so the letters in music app are Russian and I can't use them to get to scroll to a song
P.s. changing the system language isn't a good idea, cuz I use Google now and maps, and all the streets get translated into English which is not really convenient

It looks like I found the solution, I tapped and held the English letters which were at the bottom and the letters went up

[Q] Missing dictionary on Nexus 4?

Hi all, I just bought Nexus 4 (please don't lynch me) and having a great clean Google Nexus experience. But one thing bothers me a lot though... It seems my local language (Indonesian language) doesn't have a spell check feature. Coming from Samsung and Sony devices, all can spell check Indonesian language but not the Nexus 4. I'm currently using Smart Keyboard (Trial) with a separate Indonesian language dictionary download. Not liking it though, weird presentation and auto correction logic.
Just wondering if I missed a step here, since Samsung and Sony has a local language spell check feature but the Nexus 4 has not.
