Hey everyone. Forgive me if this topic has already been posted or if this question has already been asked, but is there some sort of set cpu guide? I've searched through the forums but I couldn't find one. I'm not a noob by any means, but I'd like to learn a little more about it. Thank you.

I believe because of some of the limitations of the Galaxy S phones, profiles and advanced settings can't be used.

Yes, yes you can. You have to use interactive mode with JT's EC10 custom kernel though and don't go under 400mhz unless you really like pulling the battery.

Why erect a month old thread with pointless babble

If you would've answered, I'm sure he would've been satisfied and closed the thread.
Anyways, set cpu is more straightforward and user friendly and I like it.
Oc widget gets the job done, but I feel it uses more power being a widget and all

I'm sure he found the awnser he was looking for as he never reposted. The reason this thread got erected is the fact theres multiple threads with the same question being asked if people searched before hand there wouldn't be this problem. The only reason a link wasn't posted before was the fact that I awnsered using my phone.

Not sure if everyone else knows but there is a easy way to load a rom on the vibrant.
In rom manager:
1. Select install rom from sd
2. Select your rom from the list
3. Select wype
4. And press ok
I've don't it and it works! No more going into CWM.

Not really.
Rom Manager has issues still, CWM doesn't.
CWM has more features and its safe, because the phone's UI and everything is off.
CWM is the most used, because well, its on every rooted phone.
I prefer using CWM because its safer with more options
Not tryin to be an ass but fear676 you have 4 threads in the front page right now.. Is that really necessary?

I see it like the difference between flashing a BIOS update from the command prompt compared to doing it within windows. While the windows version is usually safe, the odds of things getting messed up is greater.
Just figured out how to use the app. Plus don't we have to have 10 posts to start commenting on otherwise threads in here? Correct me if im wrong!

Don't think so you need 10 to post in the devs maybe and to post a link
That makes sence! Thanks

CPUSleeper just turns off 1/2/3 cores so I guess if you had a profile one setcpu it would just be that profile with 1 core. You can ask Eugene though to make sure.

Hi
I was wondering, have all ROM makers stuck with one type of kernel?
Sometimes you cannot find the type of kernel you should flash in the main thread.
Can someone tell me which of the main ROMs support which kernel type (JSS or JWR)?
Thanks
Just check the OP's. Nearly every one will tell you. And if it is not there just search in the ROM thread.
Why can't everyone use the same type?
Is there a performance difference of any sort?
they each have advantages and disadvantages. anyways, heres some info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382880
I hope all this gets cleared up with 4.4.

Mostly because of a Google engineer mistakenly pushed a slightly not up-to-dated version. So the ASOP version (JSS) was slightly newer than the stock image (JWR). He said sorry already, so try and bear with it for a while
