[Fixed] CM 7 RC2+ No Bluetooth - Wildfire General

Hi there.
I have been using CM 7 since the first round of Nightlys and it has always working fine. Except for a few FC's its been very stable.
All the way up to RC2 everything worked very well, untill the Nightly builds after RC2, then my Bluetooth stopped working.
I have tried every release upto RC4 and still I cant get my Bluetooth headset to connect.
I have tried flashing both the kernel mod and radio to RC4 from this thread; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015532 but still no Bluetooth.
Everything else works great, but I need the bluetooth, so I am back on RC2 again.
Has anyone had any issues with this?
Thanks in advance.

No, I am on RC4 and BT works fine. Just sent and received a bunch of files and contacts between the Wildfire and an old Nokia.
Try a fresh install with everything wiped.

I have just tried a Fresh Install.
I installed RC4 and Wiped all Data and Cache using ROM Manager.
But still i cannot sync my Bluetooth headset.
File transfer might work (havent tried it), but not the headset.

I think it must have been my Bluetooth headset.
It works fine on other phones but not on my Wildfire with RC2+ installed.
I just bought a new headset and it sync'd straight away with #35, so for now, this problem is solved.

[Q] Audio stops working on all Android build.

Hello all,
I'm having a major issue with my HD2. It was working perfectly before, until I copied another Android build to the SD card and tested it. Seemed to work fine at first but then I noticed that sound stopped working.
So here's the problem. Audio will work perfectly when running WM (I'm using VBN's RC3 ROM). Music plays fine, and everything else. But when I load up ANY Android build, sound will work for a minute or too, then suddenly disappears.
I've tried everything:
- Format SD multiple times
- Reinstall different Android builds.
- Reflash HSPL/Radio (downgraded to 2.10 from 2.14 as well)/WM Rom.
Still the same. I'm out of ideas :/ Any one?
Thanks.
Had that issue. When it starts, either no sound or after first click, sound disappears.. Calls no audio, games no audio.
I flashed ChuckyDroid, Artemis 33, OzDroid solved the problem for me.
Keep us posted.

You know what.. I haven't tried using a different WM base ROM since I had no problem using VBN till today. Will give it a shot. Thanks for the reminder. Currently trying a new SD card.
Just tried flashing to OZDroid 6.5.5 then to HyperDroid 1.6. I thought it worked.. until I opened voicemail. When I held the phone next to my ear, it vibrated... does that mean anything? Could this be a problem with the proximity sensor? But everything works perfectly on WM though >.<
Ok, I THINK I managed to fix it. Flashed back to stock then to ChuckyRom. And I formatted the SD card with a card reader instead of doing it through the phone this time. Wonder if that made any difference. Also using a different Android build as well. All seems good. Now... time for the final test. HyperDroid!
in case anyone else has the same issue I can confirm that the sound dropping out is due the WM rom installed and not the android rom. I changed over to the VBNdroid wm roms and the problem stopped ... until then i was pulling my hair out ..

CM --> MIUI --> CM Bluetooth Dies!

Hi folks,
I tried out the MIUI ROM and liked it, but for various reasons, I wanted to go back to CMod again. So, I restored my NAND backup of my CM6 install. When I did this, I noticed that Bluetooth was no longer working correctly, i.e. it would pair successfully with my radio, but it failed to connect to it.
When I restored my MIUI backup, bluetooth worked again.
I cleared every cache known to man and once more returned to my CM backup, but once again my Bluetooth failed to work.
In the end, the only thing that seemed to fix the problem was wipe all the settings (again) and flash the latest CM nightlies (very nice btw!). After this, all was well.
I am attaching a logcat file if anybody is interested in the Bluetooth output. My totally uniformed suspicion is that it had something to do with the way MIUI uses the Bluetooth stack to get the radio working, but I'm sure somebody out there knows better than I do.

Problem with Bluetooth paring on CM6 and CM7

Hi,
I've been trying to use CM6 and CM7 but with both versions I run into Bluetooth pairing issues. The main problem is seen when trying to pair from my phone to my car. I get asked to enter a pin (that has been displayed by the car), but only get a few seconds to do so before I get an error message displayed. I've tried various kernels (same problem), and I'm using the latest radio rom. Things seem to be fine with stock 2.1 and with wildpuzzle. When flashing the roms I'be made sure I clear the cache, the dalvik cache and reset to default. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
Andy
Hi Andy,
Did you ever get a fix for this? I am having a similar issue, however my device does not give me a prompt at all for the bluetooth passkey.
Thanks,
Jessica
Use bluetooth file transfer from market. It works
Didn't work for me, still looking for a way round this.

Workaround for CM7 wifi issues

So yesterday, after having CM7 loaded for about 2 weeks, my wifi stops working.. After doing a bit of research I discover its a common problem, so I try the various solutions including changing the number of channels and both upgrading & downgrading my radio image, but nothing works.. Somewhere along the line I lost my ClockWorkMod recovery image & being the newbie that I am I decided to go back to the start & follow the process that I initially used to root (the one at unlockr.com), but at the last step, instead of installing the rootedupdate.zip file I decided to try my luck with installing CM7 again, & lo & behold it worked, wifi's working again...
not really sure which step of the root process fixed the issue but if I had to guess I'd say the correct radio image was flashed, maybe someone could properly identify the correct solution...?
My adb logcat session shows that its trying to connect to some network that is unavailable and fails. ı tried to remove the 2nd , 3rd offline networks and it started working.
thanks very much deleting the saved networks worked!! wifi back on

Indeed it works...but only for the first time. As soon as you disable WiFi and enable it once again, the problem is back. So you will have to delete the saved networks one by one, each time you want to connect and in the end you will have no more saved networks left (like me). Now the only "workaround" is to enter the network details every time I want to connect.
Is there still ni working solution for this?
still no WLAN
Having to choose the lesser evil between:
no GPS under CM 7.1 or
no WLAN under CM 7.0.3 I chose the latter.
The antenna works, tethering too, the signal is detected, but logging into a WLAN fails, it keeps scanning over and over. Deleting other networks didn't work.
Any hint?
BTW, I tried 7.2 nightlies... since Market (aka g-Play) is missing there is no real use so far.
Apart from that - CM rules!
I am using both of them right now and it is okay.
Sometimes I won't get any GPS fix and I have to switch it off and on again (or restart the phone in the worst case) to have signal.
CM 7.1 with latest radio (7.13.35.13).

Using cm7.2 last nightly and every thing works just fine! Give it a try!

7.08.35.21 and flashed CM7.2.0 RC1 (KANG) unofficial ROM and everything has been sweet since. GPS quick to lock and no wifi issues at all....
give it a try

The radio should be the difference here as it seems that CM > 7.1 don't have GPS bugs anymore.
Update your radio version to newest (7.13.35.13). Everything work fine in CM7.2 for me.
I know it s been a bit but thanks for the info helped alot deleting the random networks while out and about after deleting 3 wifi runs great

Bluetooth won't stay turned on

Just upgraded to the latest snapshot of Cyanogen and noticed that the Bluetooth will work fine when first booting, but something causes it to turn off by itself and when this happens, it can't be turned back on until reboot. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution to it? I tried clearing the cache and it didn't help.
Edit: I'm running an i9505
Every ROM has some Bluetooth problems. I don't know if there is any solution for this particular problem, but you could try the Optimized CM13 ROM.
It had pretty stable Bluetooth.
