Hello All,
I am starting this thread to start making this program for those who need a stock market application that actually gets all the information you need about your tickers, like: P/E Values, News, Graphs and so on.
All the currently available WONDERFUL applications out there get data from something like Yahoo finance,TF3D Stocks Tab... They work, but all have the following limitations:
You can only get tickers that belong to the US market, where bloomberg can get you ticker information of almost all stock markets on the globe
The data we receive from sources other than bloomberg, are limited to current stock price, its value change and sometimes graphs. Where from bloomberg, you can get all details, like current selling and bidding prices, value traded, P/E values, news, graphs and many more.
Anyone here is welcome to help in or fully develop this application. Currently, bloomberg offers this application for free on iPhones, and people like us, who proudly own a WinMo device, have to pay thousands to get an application from bloomberg themselves and which "MAYBE" has the information mentioned above. So why not make it here. For free, as a proof of concept If you know what i mean.
Suggestion on ideas of how the program would be developed:
I have to check how the sites deals with data, are there any XMLs or what exactly.
Build a basic application that gets these data as needed into an ugly interface.
Find someone here in the community that is willing to help in creating a better interface. Maybe something like the great "TickerTape" program.
Expected Limitations:
The bloomberg site would have no XML data flowing freely for us to fetch. Therefore, this means the program will have to run as a parser.
(ex. Fetch the HTML that bloomberg returns, get it as a string into the application, parse it as needed, and display the values from that HTML. (Problem here is the 30K+ size of this HTML where we actually would need only a couple of bytes.)

Never heard of this...is this for the HD2 or for windows computer?
NokyART is an online gallery, only available on Android devices (Not on the internet, where there are already lots of (too much ?))
NokyART concept is simple : Artists just subscribe themselves into the website http://NokyART.com where they can upload
and manage artworks. They can also edit some informations about them (biography, official website, personnal news or RSS feed).
Then, Users can get these informations simply by browsing NokyART.
You will find, as expected :
-Artists gallery browsing (by sliding from an artwork to another)
-Artists news or RSS feed access
-Artists biography and website access
and, added recently, the ability to share artists artwork or news using your own applications (Twitter, Facebook, Mail, ...)
Users can even choose their favorite artists (by clicking the stars in the global artists list) to access them easier and faster.
In detail
More than words, the two screens below show main functions of NokyART application.

Hi All
i was looking for Caster on google to find out how it work and i came across an interesting article on bada developers site
Four kinds of service applications based on bada 2.0 - Seia, Tripper, Apps For Me, Caster - were exhibited at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The Seia application lets you keep and share precious memories with the Lifelog service. The Tripper application lets you chart your moving path and landmarks using the Location service and share with others. The Apps For Me application provides personalized recommendations for people who want to purchase applications. The Caster service facilitates instant sharing between PC web browsers and mobile phones through Push.
In particular, visitors were especially excited over Apps For Me and Caster.
Apps For Me
The Apps For Me application provides recommendations based on application usage logs; these usage logs accumulate on the terminal since bada 2.0. By analyzing the log, the OSP server extracts user preferences based on the usage history and makes recommendations based on similarities. Especially, the package sharing for Apps For Me is a very cool feature. You can create/share packages with applications and get recommendations by package unit. User information is anonymous.

Nowadays, there are too many applications. The crowded application market place is confusing for users; what application should they downloaded or what application do they need? Visitors to Apps For Me said that they really loved the smart recommendations from Apps For Me. Fortunately, the bada 1.2 based Apps For Me will be available soon in Samsung Apps and bada 2.0 based Apps For Me will be integrated to the Samsung Apps in the bada phone.
Caster
Caster provides instant sharing between PC web browsers and mobile phones. You can send URLs from a page directly to your phone. As well as URLs, some images, videos, text, phone numbers, and locations included in web pages also can be sent. These contents are then specially formatted for mobile phones. For example, for a phone number, you can dial it directly; or for a location, you can see the map of that location. In addition to transferring to your mobile, you can share contents with friends through Caster. Caster is noteworthy because it will change how web content is consumed by people. Members of the press, as well as regular visitors, were greatly interested in Caster with its simple but useful features. Visitors asked how they could get Caster right now, but unfortunately they will have to wait until the bada 2.0 release.
Best Regards
caster is cool. at least i wanted a app like this but doesnt know how to send my data from pc to phone...
