[Q] boot mode without volume key - Touch2 General

Question for wizards:
Is there any way to enter boot loader without volume keys?
Keys are defective.
Phone is stacked in windows screen and can not boot completely to use ActiveSync.

anyone please ?

search for this program''quick shutdown'' on this forum...it has the option to restart in boot mode

thanks for reply!
Problem is I can't access windows in my touch2. It is stacked in boot process.
Do you have any other suggestion? Some key sequence, other than vol down + pwr ?

this was my problem too. my volume buttons are not working. when i diassable my phone, volume buttons are cut from the board. so when the phone stucked at boot or something, i have to diassamble the phone then use right combination for volume button down(over the board, using a cable or something metal) + press end call button. then i can see bootloader.

[HELP] Can;t get into boot loader, phone is working though

I have a weird thing going on with my HD2.
When I soft-reset and hold down the vol down button it refuses to go into the bootloader screen, also when I try and hard reset it.
The phone boots just fine and the vol up and vol down buttons work just fine.
Any ideas?

From my knowledge you have to use both down and up volume buttons to get into bootloader screen.
By just keeping volume down it's doing hard reset.
Someone correct me if im wrong.

not needed to do it for a while but im sure its just the down key
It is just the down key, when you press down and up volume buttons then power button it gives you the option to Hard Reset.
vol up+down = hr
vol down = boot
there is a program that reboots your phone and enters boot screen. try it! it is called enter boot or something like that.
another idea is flashing another radio and/or hspl2
Others have correctly told you that it is only the volume down button to boot into bootloader mode. Switch the phone off and then while holding in the volume down button, briefly tap the power button (still holding the volume button in).
Another option if this does not work, from a downloaded rom file, run the CustomRUU.exe. It will unpack a number of files in the folder you are running it from, one of which is named EnterBootloader.exe - copy this to your sd card and run it.
You know I think it is a bit more sinister than that. I think the hardware buttons themselves are ceasing to function.
Like the the phone hardware button doesn't work in WM now.
I flashed a stock ROM and that is even worse, the vol up/down don't work either.
See the attached picture - I changed to the Titanium screen and see at the top where is has "Start". I guess that only appears when the device is doing something, like when Sense is loading. I assume something has gone wrong.
Maybe I should MTTY and see where that takes me.
Any other advice would be welcome and I understand that any actions I take on my phone are my actions and no one else is accountable.

[Q] Problem with vol down button.

I notice a problem with my vol down, here is the symptoms. When i press vol down there is no immediate response, after few seconds of delate the system vol went all the way down to slient mode like I was press and hold the vol down button. I have no problem with vol up and I have no problem pressing both up and down to boot into recovery mode, but during recovery mode the vol down is still not working right. It also have the delate problem but doesn't seem to have press and hold effect while I just press it once.
I am running on Vibrant6 rom from the forum. Is this a rom/firmware problem or a hardware problem?
BTW it was fine when I bought it from ebay.

Trying to enter bootloader, goes to reset instead

I'm trying to get my hd2 to stay on the tri-colored bootloader screen but it quickly goes to a white screen that says "this operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel".
Pressing volup and other keys does nothing. I assume this is because I have CWM installed and im using an android rom.
To clarify: I can boot CWM and my android from nand, but I am trying to run task 29 because my rom is messed up and I can't get the bootloader screen to stay. It thinks I'm trying to reset the data but I'm not.... Any help?

Vol down and power button
Thats what I'm doing and it results in what i described in the first part of my post.
ive tried all sorts of button combinations and none work
Throwin this out there but could ur vol+ button be sticking???when u do vol +/- ull get that screen
i did a button test and all the buttons work like they should, except when i press vol up nothing happens but when i press menu it registers both menu and volup
but yeah volup by itself does nothing...
In order to get to the reset screen you must be pushing the Vol Up + Vol Down + Power on. To get to bootloader it is only Vol Down + Power on. Make sure that you press at the bottom end of the Vol button.
Ok so that means my volup is stuck or malfunctioning. Any ideas on how to remedy this?
Apart from getting a service, No. Sorry.

Thx bro for answer !!!
When i try pressing just Volume + and Power
My phone restart and black screen and restart and black screen TT
Flash a stock ROM through Odin. That should get you back to a running state. From there you can customize as needed. None of the key combinations need the home button to work, so you shouldn't have issues. But, you should repair that home button anyway.
if you still have a recovery then you need to let go of the buttons as soon as you see blue text at the top of the screen. if you continue holding the buttons it will try to boot the rom...
With broken home you can not enter recovery mode or download mode. Recommend replace a new home button or sell it to buy a new phone.
I dont think you need the home button. Press and hold volume up. Then press power button and release it after a few sec but keep holding volume up.
Same method applies for download mode only then with volume down.
@DSA: Next thing you know, he will have a way to reset the Knox flag.

Hardware button don't work in bootloader?

Hey guys. I just got LG G6 H870 model. Unlocked bootloader without much problems, but issues came later. While being in bootloader I can't do anything, hardware buttons seem to not work. The only way to get out of bootloader is to use "fastboot reboot" command, but that prevents me from getting into custom recovery after flashing it. Only entering download mode works (holding volume up and plugin in usb cable). Non other key combination work until I boot into system.
Can this issue be somehow resolved?
I had similar problem myself with entering recovery more and the reason behind it was that I didn't press the button combo in proper way. what you actually have to do is while you in fastboot mode you press down and hold power button and volume down button. phone reboots after a moment and you should still be holding these keys and when lg logo appears you let go of power button for brief second and then press it back again and then when a prompt on white screen appears just go yes two times and phone shall boot in recovery mode . I had watch a tutorial movie to figure that out. other easy way is just to have adb enabled and reboot it with adb reboot recovery command via USB cable

No, because I had G5 and I know the proper way to do that. Problem is I can hold the power button as long as I live and the phone won't reboot, regardless of pressed combination or power button solo.
and the adb command way ?
Well... Nevermind, turns out vol down button isn't working at all.
still good way around is adb reboot recovery
