CM v054 720p VIDEO STILL LAGGY AND AUDIO STILL NOT FIXED HELLLPPPP!!!!!!!! - XPERIA X10 General

I have just recently flashed the new CM v054 and thought it will fix the lag in the camcroder as well as the low audio and audio delay. Well I have played around with the camcorder for a bit now and still no difference.
THE CAMCORDER LAGS HEAPS AND THE AUDIO QUALITY IS VERY BAD. Can you fix this in your next update or ROM Wolfbreak.
You have done an amazing job creating these roms and I have honestly have been very impressed of your work, but the title "CM 6.1.3 V054 720p Audio fix " is not what I got
I am looking for other people with this problem. Please hellppp!!!!
Hope this can be fixed.
I HAVE BEEN USING WOLFBREAK'S CM AND AM LOVING IT.

Maybe your sd card sucks...

I've read heaps and apparently alot of people have this issue. Wolfbreak has also mentioned that the 720p has still got the delay. But maybe i need to change to a better sd card.

More camera recording tweaks?

I've searched and tried all the camera tweaks avaliable to try to help my 8125 record better video. I've changed the FPS registry from 10 FPS to 15 to 19...its still very laggy. I don't mind that the quality is only mediocore, I just wish it wasn't so laggy. Maybe someone with super knowledge can help with some registry tweaks or additional programing?
BTW, this forum rocks. I come here everyday and read alot but this is my 1st post
This is the closes thing I've ever found

Strange I would have figured getting better Video quality would be of Priority.
I thought by now they'd have a cab file with video Tweaks like they did for the cam but idk ?
I'd Love to know if thre is. Closest thing I've seen is the Coolcamera app and looks tempting to Get . Only $17.90 ...worth it considering I use the Cam + video ALOT !

horrible camera video recording sound!!!

anyone else have problems with recording video using the sstock camera? I was at a concert tonight, on the upper level but the sound is horribly distorted! can't make out a single sound, sounds like someone is just constantly blowing into the mic. but my wife was recording right next to me with her sgs3 and the sound was halfway decent... wtf :crying:
Hmm .. just like my old SGS.
Maybe this could be fixed with mods/kernels ? Just like Voodoo sound with the SGS.
May be noise suppression mic soft problem. Looks like it can be fixed in custom rom.
I'm using the current official nightly cm10.1 211.

Just report it in CM discussion thread - BTW, if there is no such one in "General" section, it must be created. CM team is the best in support. Of course, it's not an CM issue, me thinks.

Video sound quality - pretty bad

Hi all
Did not come across any threads about this yet, surprisingly!
I was recording video out in a nightclub, and was very disappointed to find that the music sounded horrible. Never had such problem on my HTC one when recording at concerts or clubs.
Here is the link of the video, I uploaded on youTube
http://youtu.be/SMpa7rumrHY
Otherwise, the OnePlus has been awesome so far!
Trance family, you listen to Markus Schulz? Love trance! Sucks about the sound, you on stock app?
Sound quality in general when it comes to recording nightclubs/gigs/concerts are pretty bad with the bass etc etc.
Not to mention "Turn It Up" is a song that involves a lot of bass and drops.
Try it in a closed atmosphere like at home and test the quality of the sound.
Ensure audio codec is AAC as well.

haha yeh man love markus Schulz! one of my fav trance DJs
yeh stock camera app, running 33R stock and Franco 20 kernel.
I noticed this as well. I really doesn't take a lot to distort the audio with OPO (and surprisingly when I had my Samsung Note 2 and ran a CM based rom I had this problem as well, using stock samsung camera / rom not a problem).
Not sure if this is phone related or just the camera app/rom combo.
I do have a sub in my car but I have recorded clearly with my old Note 2 but OPO it distorts like a mofo. It's quite embarrassing.
Bad mic

Damm thats a bad mic...it sounds horrible
I wanted to make the switch from the m7 too,but i do record sometimes at concerts and clubs...And the htc m7 does this perfect.
So this is a no go for me this oneplus one,A pitty):
The early m7s had dual membrane mics specifically for recording in very loud concert environments. Some supply issue came up with the manufacturer and they had to stop supplying to htc because of nokia.

Yep I remember that when the M7 came out, it was a bit of a fuss!
Ah familiar issue.
Went to a party last week and recorded some videos, as soon as the bass drops you only hear crackling noises on the video.
Friend recorded with his iphone and the recorded audio sounded a LOT better.
I also tried to cover the microphone to see if that helped but it made no difference.
Known Bug
That's a known issue.
Have a look at the Cyanogenmod JIRA Ticket No. BACON-64
If you are registered there, please give it a vote, so it will soon be fixed.
has anybody found a fix for this? will changing to a different rom solve the problem? cyanogen just dont wanna fix this problem. its been a reported bug for ages now. even before the OPO.
I m also facing the same problem, please let us know if anyone find a fix
Sent from my A0001 using XDA Free mobile app
This problem can be fixed with the Boeffla-Kernel for OPO, but they need the technical documentaion of the "WDC9320" audio codec.

Does somebody know whether it for it already a solution has given?
Found this on the OP forums
Code:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/audio-clipping-in-loud-environments.108129/
:
"So ive tried heaps of things to try and fix this bug, one thing that may have worked is downloading this free app from the app store
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grace.microphone&hl=en
and setting mic gain to 0. i have done this and the audio quality has increased 100% and is comparable with the iphone."
Most likely a ****ty mic on the oneplus, nothing to do with the software.
HTC one uses unlicensed mic from Nokia, which is far superior.
Bump
Does anyone know whether this bug is present in Oxygen OS or not?

Please give it a vote indeed. It's a shame that this kind of bug is present.
This must be why my Soundhound never is able to identify music most of the time in nightclubs :/

Yeah i also had the same issue last week

OnePlus 5 camera, poor audio quality

I noticed that the audio quality in video recording is really poor. If I use the recorder app (In OxygenOS) the audio quality (when format set to wav) is really good!
I'm wondering if this is a bug in OOS, or intented to keep the filesizes down?
Who else noticed it?
I also made a thread on the OP forums, but people aren't too active there.

Thanks. Haven't used the forums since my op2 time.
No problem, man I appreciate your effort...
I reported a bug about connectivity and oneplus technicians have contacted me a few hours later and are really ambitious to solve the problem...
So I think this is the best way to solve your (our) problems..
Have a great day

Video recording sound quality

Hi guys!
I'm about to buy this device, but I read that bad microphone audio quality bug affects this mobile too. Even my current Redmi 3S had this issue, but luckily there is a patch for this device, which fixes this issue and in theory it can be ported to another devices too:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xi...fix-fixing-bad-sound-video-recording-t3523171
Sadly I don't have the knowledge to do this, but I wonder if someone could make a Magisk version of this for lavender. It would help a lot of people.
It will be great If anyone could make a fix. Terrible sound recording while Metallica concert 2days ago.
There's a fix for AOSP roms, that maybe works in MIUI too , I use miui.eu and I tried to flash it, and audio seems good now: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...-improve-audio-recording-video-calls-t3939963
