I rooted my phone yesterday with the help of the folks in the chat room.
Everything went smoothly. I had Clockwork 3.0.0.5. I tried to install Royal Liquid rom but it got stuck on the splash screen. Then I read about the problem with 3.0.0.5.
I have since download and attempted to install CM7, evil-4G-HD, Royal Glacier, and a few other roms but they all get stuck on splash screen. Before I install each rom, I wiped data, cache, and delvik, and formatted boot, system, and SD card.
I can get into recovery fine, but I keep getting stuck at splash screen. I have left the thing boot for 10 minutes and nothing.
Is it possible to install Clockwork 3.0.0.6 or higher (3.0.1.4) through Clockwork Recovery since I can't get into a rom and into Rom Manager.
Any suggestions?
Ok. Finally solved it at 4:41 am!!! Downloaded Royal Ginger, went through the motions, and finally got pasted the boot screen. Downloaded Rom Manager and updated Clockwork to 3.0.0.6. And now I'm in Royal Liquid!!! Can't wait to go flash crazy.
Download 3.0.0.6 from dev section and install via recovery. Then wipe data/cache, boot, system, and davlik and try again.

I will try to cover any info you might need. I am using windows 7, my phone had 1.5 originally 1.47 hboot. I got the 2.1 official ota.
On monday, I rooted using the pb00img.zip, loaded amon-ra 1.6.2, did factory/data wipe, dalvik wipe, flashed kaos v20, boot looped, tried v.19 with full and dalvik wipe, same.
I have tried all version of kaos from 19-23, evileris 3, celb, cyanogenmod 6. All have the same boot loop, I have done the following:
Reloaded the pb file
Reloaded amon-ra
Have tried manually wiping data and dalvik using adb shell
I have formatted my sd card through windows
I have partitioned my card through amon-ra
Here is a pastebin of my bootup.
http://pastebin.com/SMhKDYZq
The phone starts up with the 3 skateboarding droids, sits there for a bit, screen goes black, i get a little vibrate, then the 3 skaters come back, rinse and repeat.
I have dont have apps2sd, or setcpu. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Did you ever create a nand backup? If so, go back to it first and verify you don't have a hardware issue.
If you don't have a backup, search this forum for the Eris RUU and I'd go back to that and root using the newest method...basically start over from a working phone.
I do have a nand backup, I have been restoring when i leave work because my phone has to be working. It works fine with the OTA 2.1 that i had just rooted...
have you tried doing full data wipe/dalvik wipe after flashing a rom when i first installed roms i didn't wipe anything for 2 or 3 roms but they all seemed to flash over eachother. but then i couldn't flash anything and i thought somehow i broke something. but then i just did a full wipe after a flash and started up like it should have. took a while the first boot but ever since then i haven't run into any issues

I had this same issue last night, though I kept repeating the Nexus-style boot screen (the "X" thing) over and over. I did a full data/dalvik wipe and everything came up just fine. I had this experience with two different CyanogenMod ports.
Yea my clockworkmod 3.0.0.7 can't flash the rom.
Everytime I wanna flash, it always restarts, then goes to the orange clockwork mode screen for 5 seconds, then proceeds to reboot to my current kernel...
What gives?
same thing happened with me.just boot into recovery manualy and flash from there thats how i got it to flash
btw, if i have to wipe cache manually, which cache do i wipe?
The Kalvich cache or whatever?

Rom Manager has a version 3.0.0.7, the latest clockworkmod recovery is 3.0.0.5, they are 2 different things.
It seemed to flash fine for me. Everything is working great except for my apps. Not all of them reloaded. Anyone know how I can get the rest of them to load?
I was running GorillaSense 2.3 and decided to give CM 7 RC1 a try. When I flashed it and then rebooted, I went into a bootloop so I tried doing a nandroid restore of the backup I did prior to flashing CM 7 and I got this error:
Erasing boot before restore...
E:format_volume: no MTD partition "boot"
Error while formating BOOT:!
I am using ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5.
The only thing I can think of that I did out of the "norm" was replace the host file in the system to block ads.
Does anybody know how to solve this? I am unable to use my phone at the moment...
I am able to go into Advanced Restore and retore system, data, and cache. When I try to restore boot I get the message I wrote above.
Clockwork mod 3.0.0.5 works only with gingerbread roms. Any Frito roms need 2.1.5.2. I had this problem going from gorilla hd sense to cm7 as well. Flash a new clockworkmod or a gingerbread rom or evils miui

I wiped data and cache. Then Flashed this ROM Evil's HD port- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878320
I am still getting boot loops.
Evil's MIUI requires 2.1.5.4 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874257
Note - before wiped and flashed, I had gone into advance restore and restored, system, data and cache from my prior nandroid backup.
Hopefully that didn't screw things up. I don't have access to download the GorillaSense v2.3 that I had used before to see if flashing that would work since I am at work and it's blocked. I'm going to try that next, once I get home.
Which Clockworkmod version would I need for CM 7 RC1? Would v3.0.0.6 work?
Success!
Flashing recovery 3.0.0.6 did the trick! I flashed CM 7 RC1 and I don't get boot loops anymore. Thank you for your help.
I turned off the phone and booted back into recovery to make a nandroid backup after this successful flash. Then I flashed the google apps that come along with CM 7 and I'm stuck with the boot loop again...
I have restored the nandroid back, same bootloop, and wiped data & cache, flashed CM 7 only like the first time, and I still get the bootloop. This is so weird that it only worked the first time.
The first time it didn't boot loop I was left at the "desktop" screen. Now, when I boot loop, I get to the 'Welcome to HTC Glacier ( with the android you touch ) screen, only for like a second or two and then it loops.
Any ideas how to fix this? I'm thinking maybe I need to flash a new boot.img or something.
------------------------------
Ok, I flashed GorillaSense v2.3 which is what I was using initially. It works fine. No boot loops. I want to use CM 7 though! lol
I tried to install CM nightly off the official CM mirror network.
I already had my phone rooted with Liberty ROM installed, so I simply rebooted into clockwork, did a backup, wiped the phone, and then installed the cm_droid2_full-21.zip from SD card.
Something is really buggy with the ROM and it FC's upon loading the home screen and then automatically reboots. I cannot get into clockwork by pulling the battery or holding down camera and power, or power and volume down---nothing works. I'm stuck in this bootloop and as of now my phone is useless....please help!!
Sounds like you have no option but to boot the phone in bootloader mode and flash froyo build back on your phone.
U try to get into stock recovery and wipe cache and data? Its usually the cache

My phone came with version 66.77.... (MIUI 6) from the reseller.
I have installed TWRP, rooted the device using adb and then flashed 5.9.24. So far so good.
After some time i decided to try AOSP ROM. I made a backup in TWRP and then flashed AOSP using TWRP. No problems so far (cleared cache, dalvik etc)
Then I wanted to revert back to 5.9.24. I cleared cache dalvik etc, and then I cannot remember anymore if i have reflashed 5.9.24 or restored the backup made previously from TWRP, the thing I wasn't able to boot into recovery anymore. The phone was stuck on the teamwin logo if booted into recovery but normal boot was working fine.
Then i reflashed twrp using adb.
After doing that, my phone was still stuck on the teamwin logo when booting into recovery, but with normal booting i was getting infinite boot loops at Mi logo screen.
After several ours of tries, i was able to solve the normal booting problem by flashing the stock recovery (so the phone is now back on the 5.9.24 - and working fine) but when I try to flash twrp using adb the same symptoms as before:
- Recovery boot - stuck on teamwin logo screen
- Normal boot - boot loops
I already tried to flash via Updater app, Flashify and Windroid nothing worked.
Can anyone help me to get this custom recovery working, please?
Thanks
Regards,
Nick

i saw the request of the message but i am not using a custom recovery on my phone,i use a custom dev rom made by miui france.
i think some china dev rom comes rooted by default with custom installer updater and gapps like mine.
i think twrp is not fully compatible with this device yet.
Have you try with sp flash tool method ?

I just installed TWRP for the first time ever. I used the Flashify App from the Play Store, installed it and gave it root permissions and just selected the TWRP image on the phones internal store. Seemed to work just fine and did not have to plug my phone into a computer
