Get my 345 quadrant standard benchmark out from the 800 range and up to par and ill happily donate you $10
Since 1.9.0 is based on the 2.2.2 releases I think that Steve probably considers that the 345 performance fix.

Thanks. Anyone?
Substituting the Stage launcher with something else - ADW or LauncherPro - will help. Or simply migrate to StreakDroid 1.9.0.

The whole point of asking for a 345 fix is that streakdroid wont stabilize and I like the new ui, or id be on 318.

Won't stabilize? Been using 1.9.0 since it came out with zero issues. Flashed back to stock 318 then did factory reset them flashed to streakdroid. Streakdroid runs great.

I was on 345 before flashing 1.9.0 and really liked the new Stage UI. I subscribed to the Stage Video Widget service so I could buy, rent, and download movies. Now on 1.9.0, I can't get the Stage Video Widget to work. I think it requires the roxionow.apk to operate and it appears missing from the build. If I put the .apk from 345 onto 1.9.0 it will list the movies and info, but won't play trailers, movies, or download purchases. Also, some of my purchased apps from the market are missing when on 1.9.0. I'm back on 345 and everything is working. I'm hoping these issues will get sorted with the next StreakDroid update. Nothing is as fast and smooth as DJ_Steve's ROM's, but it would be nice to have a 345 perfmod to fall back on. I gladly donate to DJ_Steve's work and will continue to do so, but I would also donate for a 345 perfmod.

$10 from me
$10 from me for performance fix on 345!
Last night I sneaked out of bed when my wife fell asleep and decided to explore 1.9.0.zip and found the following entries were added from the original build.prop of 345.
debug.sf.hw=1 (original =0)
dalvik.vm.heapsize=64m (original is =40)
ro.ril.hsxpa=2
ro.ril.gprsclass=12
ro.ril.hep=1
ro.ril.enable.dtm=1
ro.ril.hsdpa.category=8
ro.ril.enable.a53=1
ro.ril.hsupa.category=5
# other edits
ro.sf.lcd_density=160
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=120
keyguard.no_require_sim=true
ro.com.android.dateformat=dd-MM-yyyy
these were also added
ro.build.APP_RSS_WIDGET=1
ro.build.FEATURE_STAGE_UI=1
also I was able to dig this from the 1.9 zip
install/kor/perfmod/01data2ext (is this the perfmod we are looking for? if it is, how are we going to apply/install it? and where?)
honestly, I have no idea what these entries/files are. I have no knowledge whatsoever about android or any other platform and have no formal education/training on computers. So if there is anyone out there who can feel us calling for help to do some perfmod for 345, thanks in advance.
By the way, I edited my build.prop and added all those using root explorer, streak is still up and running. however, quadrant fell from 800 to 567, however, it feels and looks faster when using it. I don't know how is that but that how i think streak performs after editing the build.prop.
Try it at your own risk! I am not responsible for what may happen to your baby.
Edit:
It is now back to 819 on quadrant after rebooting twice and much smoother and have stronger wifi signal i believe.

R u guys finding 345 slow ? I am not talking abt benchmark numbers. Go by real time usage
What is the perf fix for ?
I have been using 345 for past 3-4 days and did not meet with any issues. i really mean any.
yes stock 345 gets noticebly slow. takes a few seconds sometimes just to open thing in a app which the app is already running.

Agreed. A modification to increase speed and smooth out lag would be great! All else seems to be fine on this ROM.
I've increased the performance on my 345 install using a tool from the market place.

Since the 3.0.1 update, have you or anyone else tried the OC (1.5) kernel that everyone's been missing with. I thought I had read over in that thread that there were issues with it now (FC's?). Not sure if I should even bother with flashing it at this point.

And there was no issue installing it using the exact same files/instructions from before the 3.0.1 update?
I used the apk that jrummy made to install the update for rooted users and it worked like a charm and I still have my overclocked kernel. I didn't have to reinstall the overclocked kernel after the update.

Well I'm not sure what is going on with this kernel. After updating to 3.0.1, then unlocking, then rooting, I went through the procedure for flashing this kernel just as I had done last week. I was able to successfully send the xoom_ocboot.img, then rebooted in fastboot, then remounted, then pushed the bcm4329.ko kernel (verified afterwards by looking with Root Explorer), then rebooted in adb, but the kernel didn't take. The kernel from the 3.0.1 update is still in effect.
What gives??!?!
Maybe I should try the tiamat kernel instead? Whats the difference?
EDIT: I ended up wiping everything and starting from scratch, and this time I modded the OC first, THEN I used the update installer app to update to 3.0.1, which worked perfectly.

WHS; and no issues here.
FWIW, SetCPU shows I'm running 216-1504, but my best LinPack is only ~44.
My original quadrant scores were between 1800-1900. I got the update, and they are still in the same area, no jump to 2100+ like in your attached photo. Was kinda sad cuz I noticed some choppiness while playing Dungeon Defenders and probably could have used that boost to fix it up.
...Then, just to be sure, I restarted it. My scores now match yours. I mean, it already restarted when it updated, but whatever. So if anybody else wants the boost, be sure to do another restart. I rarely restart so it would be a shame for anyone to miss out on a performance boost.

Screenshots were with the Dalvik Debug Monitor in the SDK Tools.
I got an average score of 1871 on quadrant before and after the HR166 update.
The score remains the same no matter if it's after a fresh reboot or after the device has been on and used for hours.
I have to say the OP's results are very lucky.
This isn't the case across the board.
Who cares about quadrant, should be using Smartbench 2011 anyway.
quadrant is a terrible benchmarking application.
scores are very inconsistent. if you rerun the application you will get a higher score.
btw, going from 3.0 to 3.01 did not give any improvement in terms of snappiness.

Supercurio (Seriously, donuts to him! All of his hard work powers this.)
everyone's re-using my patchs & stuff for lagfix/color/sound
and even make pure clones of my kernel (i'm thinking about Dark something)

Changelog for build #10
Fixed BLN for reals
New recover that writes over bad blocks instead of skipping them
Rebased on 2.6.35.11 "bug-free"
Changelog for build #7
Fixed all the bugs build #5 introduced (I think)
Changelog for build #5
Voodoo Sound v7
Overclock up to 1500MHz
Voodoo Color (71 of you said we needed it, I guess majority rules... )
"Unlocked" FPS Cap
100% working BLN
Awesome flashing right now.
Does the UVing work with MIUI or is the same as with the Escapists kernel?
Works with MIUI, untested on cm7. Problem is with MIUI, the sliders aren't calibrated to the screen right so its tough to slide and get a good voltage.

Ya so same thing with the Escapists deal, Ill test, but happy to see this. Flash went successful.
EDIT: Voodoo Sound doesnt work, and it seems pretty choppy right now at 1.2 OC with MIUI
EDIT 2: OC'ed at 1.4 its flies. But 1.3 it was still choppy. Odd.
And just a request you think you could try Kanging voodoo color from the Escapist's kernel?
For some reason everything is choppy after a boot but before you turn the screen off and on. Also, voodoo sound is 100% there, have you run the app?

I am liking this kernel.
OC'd to 1.4ghz and ran linpack for the hell of it.
19.5 MFLOPS. Most I've ever seen on my phone. :|
CM7 + Trident ftw
lol I got mflops of 26.5 the other day on the last Trident build
Sent from my SGH-I897
26.5 how? That sounds unbelievable lol.
it was random. I was getting 20 steady. if you look on the top captivate scores it would have been the fourth or fifth highest lol

ya I have never run my phone at 1.4 but thats the only thing that makes MIUI not really choppy.
But it really has payed off its 100% stable for me and the fastest my phones ever been. Getting about 19.5-20 in Linpack, and just overall the phone flies.
So heres my equation for success:
MIUI B6+Trident FTW

I am currently running miui at 800 and I do not find it choppy at all
MIUI
steady linpack of 19.5, slightly lower than my average on #30. get this, quadrant score of 2475 first run
Sent from my SGH-I897
oh and two questions for you, ytt3r. first, what's the kernel Hz values at? and what's the voltage for 100mhz, 850?

Did neldar finally port BLN to Gingerbread/Nexus S?
Not sure if it's just me..
but it appears this only lets my CPU scale down to 1ghz.
I cannot get it to change at all.
My phone freezes on quadrent standards lol
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA App
the CM CPU adjuster I've noticed does that.. I use SETCPU. and it works fine if you have the latest version and don't use set on boot

Turned on my acer this afternoon and I saw a download system update pop up. So I downloaded the file and ran through the installation. I was originally on the stock honeycomb update from acer. After the update I checked system info and saw that its been updated from 3.2 to 3.2.1.

Update
Cannot use iconia root to root this version. So beware if u want root.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Can you let us know what is new in this version compared to the stock 3.2?
the whole user interface seems to be much more faster and smoother compared to previous version. Market has been updated to the new version and work flawlessly ie. Downloading apps straight away and installing them fast.
The lockscreen is still the same and not like the one you see in the A200 3.2.1 leaked version so that was dissapointing.
Haven't been able to test this thing out much yet and will update more if I find anything new
what kind of benchmarking apps do u guys use? I can then post some benchmarks and compare it to the stock 3.2

Uh, you can't use Iconia Root from 3.2 either, right? So it doesn't seem like the update would make the situation any worse, or am I missing your point somehow? I've been tracking the root threads regularly and haven't seen a root method aside from the downgrade one yet.

I think he said that in case some people would have hoped it would be possible in 3.2.1

there is no major app update. No new apps installed. wifi is much better. im getting better signals compared to my phone when i am in the same room and the wifi dropout hasnt occurred to me yet. *fingers crossed its fixed*
The fluidness of the UI was just my observation. it had a faster response when you are switching through the home menu to the apps and switching through different windows and pages on the home menu. there seems not to have any lag left behind. But that is not to say different users will have different experience. i might be the lucky one who gets the smooth transitions =D

That's strange.. I sent my iconia in to acer in texas because it wouldnt update to 3.2. I got it back with 3.2.1. out of the box several weeks ago. It has run worse, slower, more laggy since I got it back. Before it was rooted but stock rom, bloatware frozen and running set cpu (on demand - I think that's stock).. I'm really disappointed in how it's working. If my gf didnt use it in the kitchen while cooking (has recipes up on the screen on a stand eye level) I'd sell the damn thing..

Scaling should be interactive.

you cant compare this with a rooted, bloatware removed with a set cpu configuration. obviously that has been worked on and tweaked slightly to get a smoother user experience.
i was comparing this build with the stock OTA non rooted 3.2 build. sorry if i didnt state this earlier and may cause a bit of confusion. =]

Someone can upload an update.zip?
It seems to have screwed my gps. Used to be able to get 7 satellite lock inside, now can't get one.
Maps forgets my position when powered down and puts me 100 miles south when switched on again until I get new lock.
