Updated 12.11.2011
I missed the other unwanted system app (bloatware) thread for the SGT so originally started this one. Hopefully with a bit more help from a few of you I intend to make it as complete as I can.
In my opinion freezing option on the donate version of Titanium is the best way to go but there are a couple other less safer solutions. Even though some items are listed as safe to uninstall I wouldn’t recommend it. Freeze and if you have any issues its easy to fix.
Freezing apps has definitely almost doubled my battery life but I also UV and UC so the credit is split. None the less there is no doubt in my mind that freezing has contributed significantly more to extending my SGT battery life.
In any case below is the list of all the system apps reported to have been frozen by me and a few other users without noticeable issues or loss of functionality. Doesnt mean there isnt an issue, maybe we just dont use the feature or and have not discovered it. Some that are not used may have been replaced with another from the Market.
Please correct any mistakes you find or add to the lists either by adding more things that can be frozen or by advising on which ones not to touch. I will try to update to the original post when I find the time.
Try freezing list. Others reported as no issues.

Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
For some i have better and more efficient replacements but normaly use it for emailing, various messengers, as a phone, listening to music, check weather, check currency rates, unit conversions, facebook, linkedin, booking hotels, playing games, a lot of thethering, alarm clock, google maps to find my way around, trapster to avoid speed cameras, recording meetings and conversations, take pictures, notes and of course for watching porn.
Do I need to do more or is this sufficient use of my tab?

I freeze Google Maps and all the DRM processes and have no issues. I wouldn't mess with the google services though.

Does that mean you dont use and are not able to use Google Maps? That I wouldnt be happy with coz i use Google Maps quite a bit.
yes, if you freeze it you would have to defrost it before you can use it. It only takes a moment to defrost and then you're good to go. I don't use maps on my tab (don't have 3g)
You will really read posts here in XDA which are completely opposites:
-here you have someone who freezes most of the apps while in another post there is somebody with over 300 apps on his/her gt.....
-another thread/posts comments about gt having very bad battery life and another one says gt has excellent battery life.....
That is exactly the point. Giving people the information so they can make a choice to have 300 apps or close to none. I am prety sure most would object to being forced to use their device in a specific mandatory way without ability to customize.

I use Titanium backup pro.....
Actually, I created a similar thread for the stock gingerbread like almost 6 months ago:
Apps safe to freeze on Galaxy Tab with Gingerbread 2.3.3 ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1084938
It also contains a list of the "Android system" type of apps that should be left alone, though some of them could be frozen as well. Look into it and see if it helps in any way.
Peace,
C.
Thanks will do.

I would appreciate if anyone can advise any experience in freezing any of the below system apps. I managed to achieve a significantly longer battery life by freezing the above list of app without any noticeable impact on my SGT functionality. Now I would like to try freezing some more but want to build upon any existing experience instead of starting from scratch.

If you look carefully the frozen list in my first post includes some apps that are not to be touched as per the thread link provided by cheatman. Freezing apps does doesn’t seem to be identical experience for all of us and each should validate the impact of their own freezing. Might be simply I didn’t notice the impact since I do not use some of the features. Or maybe I did notice it but didn’t attribute it to the freezing.
Also I am again asking for your experience if you froze some of the apps that are on the don’t touch list in the thread provided by cheatman. I would like to know what issues if any you noticed. I may be willing to accept them or may not even notice them due to not using the functionality. All this is for the purpose of gaining battery life.
Besides freezing apps in order to gain battery life I also UV and UC. As a result of any of these measures my SGT reboots 1-2 per week. Don’t ask me to pinpoint the reason for the reboot. I would not be able to say but find it acceptable as a trade off to a significant battery life gain.

WlanTest
Yoube - Youtube I use.
I use another handy App: Autostarts, and disable the autostartup of most apps, except the ones that I want like emails, google+, etc.
If you use the default Video player, you need DRM and Media Storage working.. but you can disable the auto-startup of DRM, cause it wants to always be in memory.
Since I dont use DRM, and hate the Media Storage scanner.... I simply uninstall all that and use MX or Moboplayer - they can scan the files themselves, and dont depend on any DRM.
Just music I dont have a solution for right now.. cause most players depend on the Media Storage scanner. But WinAmp promissed a scan by folder in the next version.
Cheers!

The lists now hopefully combine all the reported experiences with freezing apps. Please advise if any mistakes or missing.
Congrats on the list MutantWizard! My list was intended to be "n00b friendly" and although you can freeze many system apps indeed, they were reported by Android System as depending on them. I also tried to make a point in explaining what the apps do because sometimes not all of them make sense :-D
Anyway, I run a completely custom variant of freeze/uninstall that also includes systems apps as well, so great job on this thread as it brings everything up to date!
If you keep it updated with all Android versions that can be run on the Tab, that'll also be extremely nice!
Cheers and congrats!
C.
Thanks will try to include in the list system apps from all contributing users regardless of the ROM version. From my side I am a dedicated Overcome user and will contribute further findings on system apps found in this ROM.

Please advise if you notice any mistakes or missing apps.

Original post list updated 04.11.2011, Added 3-4 to the can freeze and 1 to can't freeze.
Also added a couple items to the previous post, They appear to be relatively large battery users from the system side. If any of you have any idea what they are please help me identify them.
If you are a normal conservative user, who uses his I9300 for daily use, emails, webbrowsing, games, calling, etc ... then you already noticed that all those buggy 'custom' 'leet' ROMs are not a choise for you .
Therefore I created this thread for you - for normal conservative users who cannot afford bug and freezes which are introduced by those '3l337' custom roms and kernels, but still want to get the most performance and responsiveness out of their GS3 i9300 .
So after experimenting with various possibilities, ROMs, kernels, debloating, my choise is as follow :
- staying on the latest STOCK ROM
- rooted
- heavy debloat samsung stuff with NOBLOAT app (later in this post is the list of apps that can be debloated)
- use DISABLE SERVICE app to disable specific services which consume battery/memory
Here is my list of apps that can be debloated without breaking anything crucial, and there is good chance you dont need any of those apps (if yes, you can enable them again later) :

Please read before posting in this thread : this is thread for conservative users who already decided they dont want custom ROMS, this is no a discussion about custom roms, only about stock rom debloating . We are not interested here about your opinion how "cool that or this custom rom is" and advices about "try this leet kernel i have no freezes". You should post that usefull information in the custom rom respective thread .
Not a single reply or a thank you? Looks like nobody shares your thoughts or opinions about this....Or they're too afraid to give one lol
Sure you wouldn't be better off with a pager instead of a smart phone?
Austerity in a phone. Get the deficit down.
Please read the full post, including the FAQ, before installing anything.

I found this in Crackberry by a dev Cobalt232 and the files were made for Blackberry Z10 but works with Nokia X2 too (Tested). Maybe will work with Nokia X, XL,etc too.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Does this work on any device?
Play Store works on any Blackberry device running OS 10.3 or better. OS 10.2.x is not supported.
I can't login with Google Account Manager
Assuming that you have entered the correct password, you now have the following options:
1) Turn OFF 2-Step Verification for your Google account here: https://myaccount.google.com/security#signin.
OR
2) create an app specific password and use that password to login.
I downloaded an app from Play Store and now it's asking for Google Play Services
Google Play services is a framework that is provided by Google to help developers to speed up and simplify app development. Some apps that you download from Play Store may require Google Play services (mostly apps from Google, apps that display some kind of geographic map and apps that require Google+ login). These apps can be patched and will work to a certain extent. Read this post for more details:
Cobalt's official Google Apps landing page
Play Store is randomly popping up and wants to install updates for my apps
If this happens, you have turned on automatic app updates in Play Store settings. To turn them off, go to Play Store settings -> Automatic app updates and disable updates. You will still receive notifications in the hub if updates are available, but they won't automatically download.
Play Store doesn't display previously installed or purchased apps in "My Apps" section
Close Play Store, then go to Blackberry Settings -> App Manager -> Device Monitor -> Storage -> Play Store and hit "Clear Data". In general, app data must always be cleared if you update the Blackberry Google ID app or if you do a re-checkin. This is required to update the localy cached ID with the new ID on the Server.
Play Store is displaying "Error while retrieving information from server [DF-XXYYZZ]"
To fix this problem, go through all of the following steps:
1) Close Play Store
2) Go to Blackberry Settings -> App Manager -> Device Monitor -> Storage -> Play Store and hit "Clear Data"
3) Run Blackberry Google ID and unregister the the device
4) In Blackberry Google ID tap on your email address -> select your account -> remove the account in top right menu.
5) Back on main screen of Blackberry Google ID hit checkin and follow the instructions
Are you logging my account data or stealing my money?
NO data is logged or transferred anywhere else than to the Google servers. Your data and your money is secure.
Is this all for free?
Yes, it is! But please consider that the dev has spent hundreds of hours doing the reverse engineering of all this stuff, patching it, rewriting code and testing it. So if you really appreciate his work, I would be happy if you donate a few bucks. But it's up to you.
