I've got a HTC HD2 recently updated the ROM: HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_S_HTC_SVE_3.14.413.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe
One problem i have is that when i try to insert my Telia card as i live in Sweden it connects for 1 second and then it goes to "searching network" and when i try to connect to the "telia" network it says that it cannot be done. I've tried multiple cards with different operators/carriers but only one actually works and that is Tre.
My first thought: It must be simlocked or sth similar to that network ("Tre")
But when i put another sim card like the telia card nothing shows up like "enter security code to unlock"
Even bought the frickin code but still.. nothing, i can't enter the code nor connect to other networks than Tre.
To add is that i've tried the Telia card in other phones and it work flawlessly.
Anyone got a clue?
Have you tried a hard reset? Hold the volume up and down buttons down while powering on the phone and then follow the on screen instructions. This is recomended after you flash a new ROM.
Yes i did try that method but still no network

Maybe you should revert back to your old radio version you had before you flashed the new ROM.

Hello everyone.
Im having serious trouble with my MDA i updated just yesterday. Somehow it hung up at 60%. Waited for about 15 Minutes but nothing happened. So restart, but MDA was dead.
I managed it ti load the CE and ROM with an SD from another MDA into the broken one. Went well, the device boots, after 15 minutes, but everything goes very slow.
So managed it to upload the cab file of the RSU on another SD, inserted it, executed, but at 1% it just fails to flash and want to restart the MDA.
I also tested the method someone mentioned with the autorun.exe, didnt help.
In the wallaby bootloader i saw that there is an option to Backup the GSM ROM to SD, but then it wants some kind of "PC Monitor". Thought it might be some kind of hyperterminal connection, but turned out not to be.
So, does anybody here have a clue what to do???
GSM ERROR
Hello there
I've suffered the same problem as many others did.
I suggest one final solution before giving up and believing it's a dead motherboard.
the solution I believe is:
1- Using a working XDA and through the bootloader click on contacts button to get to the flash menu then click on the option for copying rom and GSM to SD.
2- after complete copy use the same SD card in your device (at bootloader)
3- tell me what you get..

Gives me the already mentioned "Please connect RS232 and run PC Monitor" Screen...
If you are sure you have followed all procedure re: 1% screen of death mentioned in various threads in this forum, then you're best bet is to return the unit the your distributor/ service centre for repair.
I had this problem and posted my experiences on several threads. I spent the first 2-3 weeks trying different things without any luck. THen one day, I just return the unit the distributor and they repaired in two days. I was told they had to replace the GSM main board.
My problem was caused by T Mobile radio stack upgrade ( I did not use SD method, so the installation installed Tmobile radio stack on my 900/1800 xda. It worked fine until I accidentally 'checked' the 1900 option...
Just my two cents
I have a Universal that does not want to recognise any of my SIM cards. I have tried SIMs from Three other carriers (Optus, Telstra and Three) but all lockup the phone portion of the device, and I get the "The phone is not ready. Wait 15 seconds and try again" message whenever I try to access the phone settings. If the phone has a SIM password then I can enter that fine before the phone has problems.
Any ideas? I have radio 1.00.00.
Cheers
Nevermind I got it working. Updated to buzzdev's Radio 0.00.00 unlock rom and ran the unlocker and its working great.
Hello all..,
my Atom experience a critical problem, it cannot connect to any GSM provider. with any SIM card inserted (even new one) it will keeps on searching the network, cannot connect.
when doing manual setting, it can list all the GSM provider (probably from the previous setting when still works) but after selecting the correct provider, the message says: cannot register to the network.
any other feature from the device or OS still works fine. even the wireless still working. it just can accept anything from the radio (incoming/outgoing call or messages)
I checked in the device to O2 service center and they opted to replace the mainboard without even checking/opening the case to see the internal parts.
I've tried soft-reset, hard-reset with no success. Even tried flashing with the official latest ROM from O2, still with no success.
Help..
is there anything I can do to repair it? any particular procedures?
Thank you very much.
cannot connect to GSM provider also

Hi,
I have an XDA Orbit. Everything works ok except when I try to use the phone, It searches but cannot find a network. The inserted SIM is o2 Pay&Go. It does ask for my pin on startup and can read the SIM history but when I try to call, the calls ends after about 2 seconds and it comes up with the following error message:
"Cannot complete the call. The signal may be unavailable or the phone number may be invalid. Verify the number and try again later"
The SIM is ok as I have used it in another phone.
Any suggestions guys...
Regards
Brian
is the phone blocked by o2? if not try flashing an official o2 rom
Not sure if it is locked to o2, I have tried the o2 SIM and a T-Mobile SIM but both give the same result, unable to find network.
I have flashed it with the official o2 WM5 rom and the WM6 upgrade and I ahve tried a different radio firmware but same result...
I would welcome any further suggestions.....
Try engineering mode with GSM reset
Hi,
Thanks, I have experience of successfully flashing the orbit but "engineering mode with GSM reset". Some help please as to how I do that.
Hello XDA, recently bought myself a leo. I turn the phone on it displays the loading screen etc, then the inital HTC Sense screen, it then immediatley goes to a page saying "Network is locked, please input unlock code"
Now i've tried to code on my sim, no dice, i've reset the phone to factory and tried it, no luck. I phoned virgin and they said its a faulty device and i should exchange it.. Now being my birthday and im inpaitent i don't wanna wait for them to change it.. is there a way i can flash the ROM or something? Doesn't in need HSPL installed?
Any help would be appricated.
My HD2 on Virgin came totally unlocked (can use any SIM) with standard HTC ROM.
Does sound like yours has a problem.
hmm, weird so theres no way to get around it?
