no it isnt. CM7 will never include Gapps with the original packaging because of Google's C&D. If they did, they'd be faced by Google's attorneys etc etc.
Official GAPPS: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/
Unofficial GAPPS (Repackaged with a newer market): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?cxlbp3zj1s5l92v
Steps:
1. Clockwork Recovery
2. Flash .zip
3. You're done.
If you're downloading from Official Gapps make sure you're downloading from the CM7 one.

Gapps in Mytouch with CM7

I'm lookin, and looking and looking, ans as many newbies have to ask something that might sound stupid...
How do I install GAPPS in a mytouch4g that I just flashed with Cyanogen 7.0.2???
I just downloaded it 3 times and everytime I want to flash it, it says bad and aborted. I need this to finish installing things in my phone!!!!
Are you using ROM manager and clockworkmod?
Either you downloaded the wrong gapps version or the one you downloaded is currupt. Just redownload and make sure you're downloading the 20110307 gapps and reflash.

well, there is only one to download from cyanogen site. I know that there are even 4 different versions for cm6 but for cm7 there is only one, and I have downloaded 3 times from there and one from another site. There should be something else.

Yes to both.
Open rom manager. Click download rom. Click Google. Click the newest one. When its done let it restart and install.
If you want to do it manually... it will be on your SD card under
/sdcard/clockworkmod/download/goo-inside.me
To do it manually just flash the zip from recovery.

Hmm... as I stated in another thread, it seems it was an issue with the microSD... Installing other apps now...
But thanks to everyone... I'll keep posting my progress.

here is a download link:
http://epiccm.blogspot.com/p/cm9-install-guide.html
You should read what you are doing more carefully before you end up with a brick! Be careful!! The information that you need gapps is right there next to the download link for the alpha, if it was a snake it would have bitten you! lol
It is also together in the install instructions. It says Flash CM9 and flash gapps right after before booting and every time you update your CM9.

gapps= Google Apps.
You flash this with cyanogenmod because they are googles property and they don't let developers create pure AOSP roms with them baked in. There was a whole to-do when cm1 got big lol google compromised with them and said "here. Just give credit where credit is due." basically.
Google apps contains the market and then you will have access to gmail, google sync services, maps,, etc etc.
Also, since cm9 is android 4.0, there are big code changes so make sure you flash ICS gapps andnot gapps for cm7...
Hope I helped for once hahah

Flashing Gaap's Succesful but no changes - CM9 0.2 beta

I've succesfully flashed cm9 0.2 beta (from jokersax's site) and everything is working fine. However, after flashing the gaap's there is no change. I am not able to get the android marketplace app or any of the google app's in the package.
my CWM gives no errors and it says the package installs properly.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very greatful!
has anyone had an issue similar to this?
version 10? Did you install AFTER you flashed the Rom?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I've tried both v10 and v9. - and yes I flash them after already installing the rom. I've followed the procedure properly but nothing's showing up.
Have you tried re-downloading the gapps zip and flashing again? Try doing a system wipe, wipe all of your caches and whatnot, then re-flash 0.2 beta and gapps v10. My atrix has flashed everything properly, but then again this is still in beta so there's going to be problems somewhere.
I've literally done exactly that 3-4 times and it doesn't work. The rom installs perfectly but there are no google apps in it when I'm booted in.
these are my steps
- boot into recovery, perform wipe, including cache
- install 0.2 cm9
- flash gaaps v10 in the same way as 0.2 cm9
- turn on phone
the os is great but there is no market or any google apps. I was hoping to get face unlock going ><
Wipe dalvik too.

I do that as well every time, should have put that down.

Oh OK my bad. This has never happened to me. Gapps always includes atleast the market. Maybe try another cm9?
I've trued turl's aswell using his gaap's and it still doesn't work.
Geez. The only things I can suggest is a fasboot wipe or PM Turl or joker.
That's really odd.

how do I perform a fastboot wipe? Also, is there a way to force app installation in fastboot?

What version of CWM are you using? If you're not using the latest, GAPPS may say it installs ok but will not actually install. I believe the latest is 5.0.2.7 or 5.8.1.8 if you're using Touch. Others have reported this same problem and updating worked for them.
Yea... that is quite odd. I've installed i believe at least 2 or 3 different versions of Joker's CM9, along with the Gapps kit, and have always gotten at least the Market, which is the general requirement for just about EVERYTHING.

Easiest thing to do would be to probably install Rom Manager and then update CWM through it.

The thing is, if he didn't flash Gapps, he also likely doesn't have the Google Framework files, on which the Play Store (and the rest of the Gapps) relies.

Flash GAPPS. If PlayStore still doesn't appear (had this problem with my I9100), just flash twice in a row.
CyanogenMod wipes /system and installs itself without GAPPS - you have to reflash GAPPS everytime if you're using an AOSP based ROM.

true, but if I'm not totally mistaken it should be pointed out that this definitely doesn't apply:

so as long as you don't flash a new/different ROM you don't need to flash GApps. But even with minor updates I always would recommend to do the following (at least) when flashing a new ROM or an updated version:
- format system
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvik
- flash new ROM
- flash GApps
BTW this

hasn't to do with shortcomings of CM but with the license of GApps - pretty simple: GApps is not Open Source so devs shouldn't (aren't allowed to) include them with their ROMs

[Q] no google play in my jelly bean

I installed new jelly bean ROM of ciavo- super great
But it seams I don't have Google play
I tryed to install one, but it crash every time I start it
I checked for a solution. Other people have that problem to.
for now no solution for me
Can u help me?
10x
Did you fix this yet ?
Civs rom usually include the latest gapps so your market should work. <<<<lies
Ive just checked the op for this rom and it says this
***GAapps-jb- ...are NOT included in the rom, please download the latest here***
So did you download the latest gapps ?
If it can help, here is a link to the JB Gapps : http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
You install it via recovery like a rom (first wipe data/cache/dalvik cache then install rom then install gapps.
Just go to the goo.Im page and find the correct jellybeans gapps
