hey guys i use the rafpignas desire hd build and I want to change the builds first boot screen.the sreen before the boot animation I mean.I changed the boot animation yesterday but I cannot find how to change the builds first boot screen.

The one before or after the GO GO GO screen on MAGLDR?
If it's the one after it, then you can't. Well you can but it's really complicated and you have to know how to edit the intrid.gz file.

the one after the go go go screen...

anybody who could help me guys??

Like I said before, you won't be able to do it. Somebody else can't come out with a magical new way, you need to edit the intrid.gz which I'm assuming you don't know how to do.

[Q]how do I?: Android boot screen (not animation)

I have found how to change, make, edit, whatever the bootanimation.zip, but i was wondering how to change the still image that is presented before this. i am using a cyangen mod nand rom (mdj's), changed my boot anitmation. but still have that blue htc droid bot, hate it, but no clue where to find and change that. any help?
I've been looking around for the same thing. It seems like that particular image right after magldr is inside initrd/zimage. So in short, it can't be changed for now.
So the only way,to change it would be to recompile the whole build..at the moment.

Are you referring to the initial bootscreen (splash screen) that comes up before the magldr kicks in? If so, you can replace it by flashing a new splashcreen as you would flash a winmo rom. Check this out

are we talking about the screen after or before magldr? If it's before, then it can be changed. If it' after magldr but before the animation, then it cannot be changed. Yeah, recompiling would be the solution.

He had it right. Not the nbh splash. And not the boot animation. Just the still image right after magldr.

How to get rid of the MyTouch splash screen

Is there anyway to get rid of the MyTouch splash screen on boot? I'm flashed with CM7, but the splash still pops up for a few seconds.

Flash a different boot image. There are variations of these in the Apps section.
changing the bootanimation.zip will not change the splqsh screen , how do you change it ?

I have a script I wrote that will convert and flash a image for you. I will post it in a bit in the themes and apps section. Give me a hour or so to get home.

I stand corrected. There are threads in the Apps section that will flash new splash images to the phone. You can either use TrueBlue's Script or look in the "how to customise" thread and there is a link to it there
fastboot flash splash1 <yoursplash>.img

There are plenty of custom options in the themes forum. I use the awesome ASCII Android by Iriscience.

Changing or removing boot logo

Hey guys I was hopeing I could get some help on removing or changing the first image I see when the phone turns on. Its the old blue energy logo from a previous rom. I see it before magldr comes up.

Just look for a wallpaper you want, download it, then there will be a RUU, boot to bootloader and flash it.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
wait i thought the RUU was for roms. You can just download a wallpaper and install it from RUU? maybe im confused. I'm running 2.3 andriod on my hd2.

for the first screen (aka splash screen - doesn't matter if WM, android, W7 - it is all the same.)
the prior post was a tad simplified, but the process is quite easy:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895089
The bootloader and RUU is to update anything on the phone via bootloader and not just ROM's.

what you guys have to explain to the OP is that because this phone is not a native android and it's a wimno phone , you need to use a nbh to change the splash screen, you can flash it from the sd card if you want without needing a RUU, just rename the splash screen .nbh to leoimg.nbh and put the phone into bootloader and flash.
thank you guys learned a lot!

Mytouch 4g stock splash screens

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, because its a request not a question... sorry if its not.
I need the stock splash screen for mytouch 4g. I changed it to the nexus s Google splash screen when I switched to cm7. I need to unroot it to use the insurance for a replacement. My power button stopped working and the micro-usb port only charges occasionally now. Any help with this would be awesome. I tried searching but I have to from my phone at the moment and that makes it pretty difficult to sift through countless xda pages. Lol.

Look in the theme section, there's multiple threads on splash screens. I'm pretty sure, one of them had the stock one.
From my fist to your face, enjoy.
Go to the theme thread in the 4g section. If not, unroot. U should have the stock splash screen.

Even if he unroots, it'll still be what ever he changed it to. You can flash roms left an right, but that'll still always be the same. The location of the splash screen file is different then where we have our roms located.
From my fist to your face, enjoy.

I backed up everything from when I first flashed a new rom, including the splash.
Here's a link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YE603C62
Here's how to change it though you should already know:
Here is how to flash a new splash screen image to your phone using Terminal emulator.
Please keep in mind that as with any mod you can damage your phone beyond repair if done incorrectly.
1. Rename your 480x800 image file to (custom.img) and move it to your sdcard.
2.Open Terminal Emulator and type "su" to get a #
3.Then type this exactly as it appears and hit enter. Make sure not to make any mistakes!!!
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/custom.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19
It should show you that the file has transfered. You can now back out of terminal emulator and reboot
your phone to see the new splash screen.

Thank you. I downloaded and unrared the file. But I can't seem to get it with terminal emulator. I typed the commands exactly, and even tried modifying them as my phone shows /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.2/mmcblk0op19
Any ideas?
#AngelFace#
Before there's a need to ask. I unrared it and put the custom.img in the root folder of my sdcard.

splash screen flasher

The first screen is called splash if i knew correct.
There is a program for this called "Le_Pro_3_Splash_Maker"...... the animation of the rom sorry i don't know
Edit
The Splash ist changeable with the mentioned program.
With this program you can change the splash in what ever you like. watch the program and read the instructions.
