Wiimote - EVO 4G General

What is your experience with this? With my roms working and hdmi working I want to give it a try. Your thoughts?
Sent from my MIUI powered Evo

I haven't been able to put it down, they run smooth, like if it were on the original systems! The n64 one is being tweaked at the moment but the rest kick ass, do it, you wont regret it

Is there any way to use the wiimote to control the android environment, not just game emulators?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

I haven't really researched it, but as far as I've seen on here, no. It would definitely be cool to use it as a remote for when it's connected via HDMI for watching movies or photo slideshows or music.

Yeah thats what I have found too. Would definitely be cool if it did work.

Wiimote is great! I also use it with the classic controller for games that require a few more buttons.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

Going to try it.
Thanks

My wiimote doesn't seem to want to work with my emulators. I assign the correct buttons in the emulator settings but they never work. But the wiimote apps notice that I am pressing the buttons so do the emulators settings menu but when in game no such luck.any suggestions?

From what I have been told is that the Wiimote doesn't work on sense roms, what rom are you using?

Yea the Wiimote doesnt work with Sense because of the Bluetooth Stack, anyway I am running CM7 Nightly 22 and am using a Wiimote with MotionPlus built in, I believe this may be the problem but who knows.

Did you set the wiimorw as your keyboard. If your using nesoid or snesoid make sure you check "use input method under other settings

you will not be able to get HDMI running on ApeX unfortunately, but there are some apps like Real Hdmi that should work but you will have to pay for it...

Thank you...that's what I was thinking

The motoblur media player is what you need to use the HDMI. If there was a way to get that working, then you could. I don't think it's too hard, it's in other roms. Maybe make a feature request in the apex thread?

Cm and wii controler

does cm support a wii controller or any controller? i know ill have to find out if my next device can utilize a controller hopefully if i doesnt a rom may have blue tooth stack that alows it. after stability ill have to have something to help me decided on which device. hercules, sg2 or sensation. tegra 2 vs samsung own chip might not come down to anything more than what i can use with it speed isnt everything

PS3 controller works on Nexus S 4G 2.3.5 rooted stock rom.

Just like the title says, I just got the "Sixaxis Controller" app from the market and it works on our phone.
The app is here https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller&feature=search_result
Just tested with a couple of emus and it works great!
costs money though
nice any games that support it? or just emulators?
wirelessly?
you use a device twice as big as your phone to play with it ^^, that's not very portable

I know for sure emulators do. As for regular games the controller works the same as a slide out keyboard (you just program the keys) so if a keyboard is supported for button mapping so is the controller.

Can this work without being rooted? I've always liked a lot of the games for mobile phones but never liked the touch screen controls.

As far as I know you have to be root.
I've been waiting on this, using the wiimote was awesome but it lacked buttons.
I'm using a Nexus S (T-Mobile bands) with CM7 nightly 155 and netarchy 1.3.9. I purchased the app and it works perfectly.
I'm loving this so much!
Has anybody got the keys mapped out for gun bros?

Emulators

Anyone know of, or use a good emulator,, can't seem to find any that work right on the tablet.

An emulator for what, exactly? There's a lot of choice...
Games. Snes n64.. not really a psx fan..I tried a psx don't remember name but it was horrible

There's a couple of emulator threads in the Transformer and Xoom forums that are equally valid for the Iconia, probably worth you checking them out.
Thank you

my Swype kb is in learning phase
Didn't work... I've tried many button combos.. tried support page but nothing. Did u have to change the Bluetooth address for your psx controller to match tablets address

MOGA Game Controller

Has anybody been able to use the game controller with the universal driver successfully? It always says connecting but never does. I want to use it for emulators and this thing is so awesome!

I couldn't get it to work. I'm not rooted so I didn't touch the system mode stuff. I can select the IME but it never connects. Also, it messes up my wifi so that I can't connect so I just uninstalled it.

I tried with my rooted nexus 4 but it never connects and when I'm trying to connect it lags the phone so hard. I had to uninstall to restore to normal.

Works perfect for me. Rooted using cm 10.1. Make sure you synced the controller in Bluetooth settings before. Check system mode then check the bax to start the service in the app. I just tested with an emulator and shadowgun dead zone works good but not enough buttons for dead zone when you set the controller in the options menu. My problem is not with the universal driver but with the official app playing modern combat. When I aim with the right joystick it just keeps moving it doesn't do this in dead zone with the universal driver. How are you guys using it in modern combat? Thanks

So you did get it to work with the universal driver? In modern combat I use the default controls.

It works perfect for me as well.. I use it with shadow gun dead zone and could not be more satisfied
Also for modern Combat, that only happens to me after I've been playing for a while, but at first it works just fine.. Might have something to do with the bluetooth problems in android 4.2

worked for me! I used n64oid emulator and worked with super smash bros and stuff. also worked with the default sonic and moga enabled games.
It was awesome for the short time before i dropped my nexus and cracked the screen

Exactly what as I described before cm 10.1 with the stock cm kernel. Turn on the controller it will be blinking then go to your Bluetooth settings on your phone and scan for new device. When it shows b&d or moga or the numbers select it so you can pair the controller to the phone. After it us paired start the universal driver app check the box that says system mode then check the box that says start driver service. Turn the controller on again if it wasn't blinking and bingo bango you're connected....
Thanks will try this when I get home.

N64oid problems on IME mode.
I'm not rooted, I don't want to root my Nexus 7, my Moga is able to browse N64oid's menu, but that's it, I can't play the game with it, please reply and tell me how to do it, I used the Universal Driver with my Moga Pocket, configured the buttons for N64oid so it should work but it isn't. Help?
