There will be many updates coming up for the ginger blur rom and in order to get a better update it is recommended to flash sbf. And this will remove many apps on the phone, I'm looking for the best way to backup my files and restore them after flashing the sbf?

Is there a way to make JK6 flashable over stock firmware without wiping your apps or settings?
I'm fairly certain the answer is "no", but even if there were a way, performing a fresh installation of a newer operating system is always the cleanest way to go. JK6 is unfinished testing software, and you'd be a lot more likely to run into problems if you didn't start clean.
With that said, Titanium Backup (free version in the Market) will be your friend during the upgrade process, for keeping applications and settings most important to you. The donate version allows you to backup everything in one go, too.
Yes. On the dev section there was an odin jk6 and it did not wipe. It was pure stock though which took away root also. I'll look and see which one it was and update.

Use caution because all of what cappy said is correct.

Yes, I flashed the version on that thread through odin and it did not wipe. It was easy enough to get root back and I just had to use my titanium backup to restore my desktop layout.
I'm not sure if CWM is easily supported yet because of the different recovery version in the stock jk6, but otherwise everything works great.

I plan on installing the Gingerbread Custom Rom on my rooted Samsung Epic 4G with DK28 leak.
But, I want to know, when using Titanium Backup, I don't know exactly what things I have to backup to keep all my information and applications. (Well, I know how to backup the apps, but which keep all my information)
Could someone possibly give me a list of what to backup? Thanks!
Also, do you wipe three times in a row in cwm?
And after I wipe, do I have to reinstall Titanium Backup to restore?

i rooted my mytouch and installed the Official CyanogenMOD 7 Nightlies rom but what do i ned to do to return to the stock rom?thanks
You need to have saved it with a nandroid backup and just restore from recovery. If you did no backup then you'll have to search for a stock rom.

Rom manager works through clockwork mod. If you did a backup you can access it from rom manager in restore backup. If you wanna backup your current rom u can do so then. Also check the wipe data box. Always wipe data when flashing a new rom. Unless its just an update to your current rom and the dev instructs you that its not necessary

Hi to all,
Guy I usually Flash my Atrix every once and a while to test the new Roms out there.
But after every flash I have to download all the APPs and other settings.
Whats the fastest way to restore all apps after a flash .
Thank you guys, and sorry for the noob questions.

I'm looking for an unmodified build.prop file for a Verizon droid 2 running Android 2.2. I would like to apply the official gingerbread update, but it is failing because I modified my build.prop file and forgot to save a backup :-( I would prefer to not have to spf my phone so I thought I would ask here first. If no one has an unmodified build.prop file is it possible to extract a file from an spf? Thanks in advance.

No idea where to get that, I would just backup your app and user data batches with Titanium and then SBF stock. You really don't lose anything.
Thanks for the response. I was able to figure this out with a bit of googling Hopefully this will work. Otherwise I will be SBFing back to stock.
