[Q] Titanium Backup - Epic 4G General

I plan on installing the Gingerbread Custom Rom on my rooted Samsung Epic 4G with DK28 leak.
But, I want to know, when using Titanium Backup, I don't know exactly what things I have to backup to keep all my information and applications. (Well, I know how to backup the apps, but which keep all my information)
Could someone possibly give me a list of what to backup? Thanks!
Also, do you wipe three times in a row in cwm?
And after I wipe, do I have to reinstall Titanium Backup to restore?

returning to stock

i rooted my mytouch and installed the Official CyanogenMOD 7 Nightlies rom but what do i ned to do to return to the stock rom?thanks
You need to have saved it with a nandroid backup and just restore from recovery. If you did no backup then you'll have to search for a stock rom.

Rom manager works through clockwork mod. If you did a backup you can access it from rom manager in restore backup. If you wanna backup your current rom u can do so then. Also check the wipe data box. Always wipe data when flashing a new rom. Unless its just an update to your current rom and the dev instructs you that its not necessary

Rom Manager Premium

Asked this question before but nobody answered. When using Rom Manager Premium and doing a "backup of current rom", am I to do this, then try another rom and if I do not like the new rom, do a restore backup and everything will come back just as if I had not tried the new rom at all? I mean everything. I use titanium backup pro, but it's still such a pain in the A to get everything back up and running again. I am running Trigger 3.3 beta right now and really am liking this rom and have it pretty much set up just as I want it now. Cannot see how another rom can be as good as this one, but it would be nice to try them out, and come right back when I need to without the hassles. Thanks.
So ur question is? Should u use restore backup on rom manager premium.. I do

No. My question is, can rom manager premium put everything back like it was using restore, after a rom is wiped to try a new one, without even messing with the hassles of using titanium bacup pro.

Yes, with the exception of your kernel. It cannot restore that.

Im glad someone asked this question! I thought the same thing which is why I stayed with trigger, but 1 question what if I have trigger 3.0.1 and want to try a GB rom then come back is it possible with rom manager?

gingerbread and froyo are two different monsters! so no u couldnt but any froyo rom u can!
Well, you can get it back, it's just more work, but getting to GB is more work anyway right?
Couldn't you Odin a froyo stock rom with kernal/modem, then flash the custom froyo rom again, download rom manager, put the RM backup you kept on your computer into the RM folder and then restore the previous settings?
I'm interested to hear if others have done this. I want to try a GB rom, but I like to move around a lot and Froyo roms seem like the way to go if you have an itchy flashing finger.

[Q] how to upgrade sense?

I have the STOCKED rom and still have sense 1.0 on my evo.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238959
How can i upgrade my sense version to 2.1 or 3.0 or above?
please help - i do not want to wipe any data if i can avoid it
If you're rooted then here's a 2.1 with some 3.0 features. I personally use it and its phenomenal.
If you aren't rooted though..you cannot update your sense software without buying a new device. That's why many people root in order to take control of their phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038967
Here's a full 3.0 ROM. Try them out.. FULL WIPE is required in order to flash both of them. Use titanium backup to save your data. It's a lame process but whatever its worth it.

You will have to flash a custom ROM. Are you rooted? Because you will have to be rooted and have a custom recovery. Then you can flash a custom ROM with the newer Sense versions.
You can retain apps and data with Titanium Backup

Root then you can go all the way to 3.5 if you wanna .. which to me is the smoothest running of the sence roms 3.0 does not really like our evos LOL

[Q] How to recover stock recovery after flashing CWM?

I just downgraded 2.3.4 to 2.2.1, and I want a custom ROM. But if i ever want to go back to stock, non rooted, won't clockwork mod be there? Or will it not be there because I would have restored from a Nandroid backup? Thank you I'm sorta a noob at rooting!

if you flash the PD15IMG.zip file, it will wipe EVERYTHING, and restore the whole system back to stock, including the recovery.
Ok so if I restore to 2.2.1 using PD15IMG.zip, I won't need to worry about CWM! Thank you!!

[Q] Titanium backup and ICS ROMS

Didn't see this question asked in My Touch forum so here goes.
I backed up all my apps with TB and flashed from Energy Rom to Blackwings ICSandwhich. Full wipes and the whole 9. When on BW's ROM I can't get TB to restore apps. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Don't install backups from GB to ICS or vice versa.
It causes problem.

You can restore apps, just not data. Except for ics only apps, don't restore those on a ginger bread rom.

Well, ok, yes. Sorry. I use titanium to restore my data. If I want an app by itself I get it from the market to ensure the latest version. Silly me.
