It isn't a theme.. Just removing some files to show the aosp LockScreen instead.
It would be pretty simple for someone to make a theme for this though
Works thanks

You can shut it off after unlock, or just kickstand it and leave it on night time desk clock mode while you charge. I think it makes a good nightstand clock anyway.

Well I know it's not a theme, it just deletes files. However, adding some framework-res changes to the zip couldn't hurt right?
Would this work with the Virus rom? And does it mess anything up when you apply this?(wondering after seeing the posts above)
Thanks

It doesnt mess anything up, it works perfectly fine. You will have aosp lockscreen. However, you will lose your lockscreen music controls and just about anything else you were able to do from the lockscreen. Its all tied into the htclockscreen.apk(sense).

Then why are the issues occuring with the alarm? Is that only after it's set? I'm really wanting to drop this mod in, but I don't want to have these alarm issues that others are experiencing.

What alarm issues are you talking about? My alarm works just fine. I would recommend using root explorer, going into system/app folder and renaming htclockscreen.apk to htclockscreen.apk.bak and checking it out for yourself. You can always change it back if you have issues

That's pretty funny... Paris (I'm not there that's just how the clock is set) jumped up 10 degrees in 3 minutes!
Flashed about a half hour ago. So far so good, just finished going through the phone setup about 10 minutes ago and I'm playing around with it. Have you noticed any bugs or anything yet? Also, is there anything you plan on adding for an update in the future?
PS- Good work!

I haven't really noticed any bugs, though the ones reported for EvilEris should still be there. I plan on finishing the brown system theme. That was all me.
I will eventually change the boot screen to something more... cookie. Don't use the white notification bar, it will change the modded bottom bar back to the normal one. Did you like the default ringtone?
Is this Rom supposed to have Live wallpapers?

Is there something I can install without installing the full Cyanogenmod rom? Has anyone put together a package just for customizing the trackball or is this not possible without Cyanogenmod?
Thanks.

you mean similar to blackberry when a you can customize a sms, mms, calls, emails, IM, calendar events, and many more items will change colors you set? i tried to find something but didnt look hard enough. i used green for sms, purple for mms, blue for phone calls, light blue for emails, disco (rainbow) for google talk, and white for missed calls on my blackberry. i hope to find something later on because i have a long list of things to add to my phone haha.
Trackball alert may be what you could try.
thanks. i also forgot to say that after exploring my nexus weeks later i found out that mms and sms and google talk and gmail can be have custome ringtone because in settings i only found notification for all and ringtone so i figured each app couldnt have its own sound but i found it in the actuall settings for each app. i think i saw the trackball pulse on most also. took me a while to find it.

The only way to customize the trackball colors is to take the plunge and root! Think about it for a while...

I've actually already installed Cyanogenmod before but went back to stock because my battery was acting funny. The trackball customizations is the one thing I miss from it right now. That's why I'm wondering if there's a standalone mod I can install just for trackball customizations.

Ohh, I read the description wrong. It says OR Cyanogenmod. Either way, it still requires a custom rom before using it. I'd like to use the stock rom and use a trackball enhancement on top of it.

Yes, rooted. I don't get any errors. I can open it up, change the settings (what apps I want to use it for and what colors, intervals etc) but there's a "Test Notification" button in each setting and when I click on it the trackball never lights up. And it clearly states when I first open the app that the stock Google roms do not work.

Damn, that sucks.
If Cyanogen was giving you issues, try out MCR (Modaco's non-desire ROM).
In answer to your original question, no, I don't think there is a way without a custom ROM.
Honestly, if I could just find an app that decreased the trackball flashing interval to somnething like 1 second on, 1 second off that would be great. I liked being able to look down at my phone and know right away if I have a notification because Cyanogenmod would make it flash really fast. Not so much with the stock rom.

Suave Smush v2 <---Coming Soon!
This is what I call a mashup rom. I've taken pieces from all over the place in an attempt to give you a Sense UI feel without all the clutter and BS that comes along with it.
This thing is sexy. Normally I feel no need to make a disclaimer but this time I think I'm going to have to make an exception.

I am only responsible for how sexy this rom will make your phone. Any actions that stem from this raw sexuality are no my fault. Disgruntled wives, girlfriends, booty calls, etc are not my fault. Please, use with discretion

Patches and Extras
Because this is based off White Widow, any patches for that rom will work on here.
google-apps-etc.zip <--flash this right after flashing the rom. it includes things i couldnt work into the build...eri, mms fix, google apps etc.
tsupdate3.zip <---flash from recovery if your touchscreen is completely unresponsive.
old_lockscreen.zip <---flash from recovery if you prefer the sliding tabs rather than the rotary LS
New Patches
Ask and ya shall receive. Due to the overwhelming amount of requests for JIT, JIT is now enabled by default. here are patches to turn them on/off. I got the basic idea from Zach.Xtra
Flash these from recovery, wipe, reboot.
Jit On. <---JIT is on by default, but if you turn it off and would like to turn it back on, flash from recovery, clear dalvk, reboot.
Jit Off. <---Flash from recovery, wipe dalvik and reboot. Will turn off JIT.
Common Problems and Fixes
Set CPU FC's whenever I open it!
-A simple re-install of setcpu will fix this.
I get too many notifications for my text messages!
-The issue with the notifications is an easy fix. Included in the rom is "out.apk", an app given to me that i included because of its sense UI feel. It looks very similar to the stock HTC messaging app. This by default also has a notification. Simply put the widget anywhere on your home screen (its called beautiful sms in the widget menu) and when the settings come up disable notifications! You can then remove the widget if you want. Also make sure that you have the notifications turned off for the stick messengold_lockscreen.zip <---flash from recovery if you prefer the sliding tabs rather than the rotary LSer too.
For those of you wondering, this is what the widget looks like.
MMS still doesn't work
-Try doing the APN Backup and Restore trick. Ivans APN is baked into the rom but some people say that it still works. If that still doesnt work, try Conaps MMS fix.

running smooth as **** so far!
is there a fix for the lock screen saying T-CMDA 64?
also how can I make the lock screen transparent?
I had posted this under development but figured that's probably more for roms and maybe better suited here. So apologies for the double post.
I like the HTC Dialer (find contact pictures load quicker than on the stock android contacts app), but the haptic feedback annoys the hell out of me.
So I took a look at how JsChiSurf disabled haptic feedback in the Hero's HTC Dialer app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=660506). Turns out it was pretty easy to port the same changes over to the HTC Dialer that comes with the Desire.
I've tested this on my Desire running Leedroid 2.2a and it works like a charm. Obviously I offer no guarantees, and make sure you have a nandroid backup to restore to just in case.
Just install the attached zip from recovery.
Nice, i will try it.

No I thought he meant maybe 'diablous' is right and it's a user configurable option.
Either way, it's made the thread very confusing so if diablous or TieT reckon there is a way to turn it off without flashing the zip I wish they'd just say how to do it or admit they were wrong.
It's not a user configurable option. You have to flash this zip. There is an option to turn off haptic feedback but it does not affect dialer.
I've been using this only one day, and what a change! With an average of 110 outgoing calls, dialer eats 20% of my battery. Multiply by 3 vibrations per call - how much battery did I just save? A LOT! Thanks, again, it feels like a new phone altogether.
Thanks for clearing it up kumprise, I wish people wouldn't post if they don't know what they are talking about, I wasted about 10 minutes going through options thinking I was going mad.
Now flashed the zip, thanks very much z0mbi!

I love the SMS preview on the bottom of the lockscreen of Sense ROMs.
Sadly, SkyRaider Sense 4.0 doesn't have this feature anymore. I love the ROM but I'm trying to find a workaround for it.
I've tried SMS Popup with Widgetlocker, which works, but I don't like getting popups when I'm using my phone, reading email, etc.
I just want a SMS preview of some sort on the lockscreen so I can quickly check to see the beginning of a text I receive without having to unlock my phone.
Does anyone have any ideas for me?
Much appreciated...
EDIT: I thought of a possible fix. Maybe I can find a widget which displays new, unread SMS messages? Then I can put it on my lockscreen using widgetlocker. Sound good? Any recommended widgets?
EDIT 2: Found a widget that works but....I'd rather not see my last SMS always on my lockscreen. ugh...there's gotta be a fix!! I just want the HTC lockscreen

I believe thats it. We need the HTC lockscreen back. The one in SkyRaider is from CM7. The HTC option is really just a skinned Lense style.

Ya, I'm wondering if there's a way to just import the stock HTC lockscreen.
In Incredibly Re-Engineered, there were multiple lockscreens too and to restore the default, the dev said:
(Note: To enable the HTC Lockscreen, navigate to "system/app" using root explorer; Find "HtcLockscreen.bak" and rename it to "HtcLockscreen.apk" and then perform a Hot Restart)
Is there any way for us to port that HtcLockscreen.apk and get it to work on SkyRaider?

one thing you could try is to take the htclockscreen.apk from the stock rom somewere on these forums and putting it in skyraider 4.0 system/app.

I got htclockscreen.apk from Nothing Special, but I have the plain version, which is still odexed. So it also has htclockscreen.odex. Should I go get the one out of peanut (Deodexed)? Or does it matter?

take the one from peanut just in case i'm not sure what the difference is between odex vs deodexed but i do know odex files are user smaller in size so try the peanut since skyraider 4 to my knowledge isn't odexed.
Alright, I'm going to try the one from Peanut. It's deodexed, and SkyRaider 4.0 is deodexed too. Both from the Nov. OTA. I'm just wondering if it will interfere with SR. Guess I'll find out soon.
Edit. Seems like SkyRaiders lock screen overrides it. Need to figure out how to remove it first.

Actually, I've never used ADB. I used root explorer though. It's in there. And I did reboot.

Let me know if you have any luck with the HTC lockscreen.
I've been trying to get used to the CM7 style lockscreen in Skyraider and it's got some cool features that might make me stick with it.
Just wondering though...when I get a text, I'll get an SMS preview at the top in the notification bar, but unless I check my phone right away, I won't see the quick preview. Is there any way to have the preview at the top wait for me to unlock the phone before it goes away?
Yes, but it fails of course. Maybe ihtfp69 can release another feature add-on for the HTC lockscreen.
