The info you're providing about the bootloader is coming from Nenolod.
It happened to be a fake, sadly.

You need to replace the SDDL of the rom by the tg01_sddl+.exe from this FTP
thanks man,but by the way, what do you mean by replace the SDDL?do you mean I should change the flie name or....?
just delete the old "sddl.exe" (from rom folder)
and copy\paste the new "sddl+.exe" (from the ftp) in your storage card with the prg folder of the rom..

I understand that use of SDDL+.exe is now considered obsolete since there is a hardware method of entering bootload available... following links refer:

TG-01 Flash Unlock
Hello.
Could someone advise whether flashing the TG01WP-WM6.5-Generic-IT.zip as described in this thread (two pin short) gives a no-sim-lock phone?
Would flashing Orange TG01WP-WM6.5-Orange-UK.zip onto a Generic ROM then give an Orange branded phone with no sim-lock?
Thanks in advance - Looking to save a few Pounds and get up and running quickly!

I doubt it. Mine was an orangeRO locked, flashed on italian ROM with sddl+ and still orange locked.
Not able to install the English rom
I tried installing the English version downloaded from the Toshiba website.. it says the variant is in valid... can some body help me.
Did you paste the due files at the SD Card root, or inside a subfolder? Trouble could come from that...
The files are on the root of the SD Card... It says SD download failed...
I suppose you used sddl+ as indicated...
By this way, "SD dowloading failed variant is invalid"; was not this the error message when french user tried to get an UK Rom, for instance, on Toshiba Website, and Orange did not want their customers play "rom travel" game? I am not sure I remember well about this; did you have to give your IMEI at some point?
Yes i Used My IMEI number to download the toshiba website to download the english rom
Guys if you have any TG01 buyed in EU you can pud any TG01 ROM Spaish,English,Italian etc... But if it's a Japanese or Asian TG01 don't play with it.
To change rom just pud in the SD /prg/ file and SDDL+ ne one from stepw and run it. If not the same system but we don use SDDL we use a short pin. You can find everyting on forum.
So, trying to test my understanding: (with bits of informations here and there, on this forum and others, I'm getting rather confused)
There would be different "kinds" of Tsunagis, depending wether they were sold in EU or Asia. (hardware? Toshiba programming level?)
Among european TG, due to commercial treaties with Orange, some (French, English, Helvetian) TG would be Orange branded, and sold Orange locked, while Italian TG would be unbranded?
So, if you have an Orange branded TG, still Orange locked or unlocked, you cannot just change to any European WM6.5 Rom just dowloading it from Toshiba website, where you have to "tell" your country giving your IMEI. (you would stumble on that "invalid variant" error message)
Instead, must use the stepw way, refered to in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629586, (or http://www.adryan.evonet.ro/pocket pc/Toshiba TG01/ROM-uri/), or the "short pin" confused: whatever that might be, my poor english don't allow me to understand much about it)
But this would be "dangerous" for an Asian TG, though, unless I missed the information, eekthecat did not say for how long he had been using his phone before he tried, and if he knew for sure his TG was a well working one and not a disastrous bugger (at least some french tsunagists had many problems with theirs, and gave up for another device after some exchanges that did not improve the situation, the fourth proving sometimes worse than the third!)
Wish things will be easier with cooked ROM...
meerau if interested in changing ROM, PM me and I'll help you.Je peux t'aider.
Hi guys I'm new here..just registered after spending most of last night reading ROM developments for the TG01 for the last 1 year or so. I gotta admit that instead of wanting to move away from TG01 (given all the difficulties and misadventures with the set..from other posters) I feel even more compelled to keep the one I recently purchased..crazy right!?!
Anyways I have some info and some questions..will start with the question:
1. I just purchased a TG01 (unbranded) from Italy. The set is running WM6.1 and is brand new..still in the box. I would like to change the ROM to English and the only reason for that is that I prefer english despite understanding both languages...other than that I have no desire to go further and install UI variations of other phones (HTC, etc) as I really see no point in creating problems for myself..what I gather from most posts is that alot of users apply mod's which temporarily seem fine and balanced BUT eventually lead to some sort of problem which is then modded thus solving the initial problem but creating a new one..so on and so forth until phone in many cases dies. (Comment: I am confused why many users flash their ROMS to English when they can't even speak or read English at a basic level?!? Once again I dont see the point..someone enlighten me ...ooops back to the question...So..is there any suggestion or help I can recieve in changing the ROM from Italian to English? Should I do this after the 6.5 upgrade in Italian or? Suggestions please.
2. Toshiba Asia recently started realeasing TG01 to certain Asian countries and one that may be of interest for a generic English Language ROM is Malaysia. I recently picked-up a TG01 in a store in Kuala Lumpur and it was a locally certified and guaranteed set with no 'Telcom Carrier Branding'. It was unlocked and not an import phone from other TG01 markets..and the ROM was in ENGLISH!! This TG01 came preinstalled with WM6.5 (not 6.1) but I had no intention of buying it as I already have the new italian set and more importantly it costs more than 500 Euros vs. the Italian one I bought for a net 287 Euros.
Maybe this can be a new and more reliable lead on how to get a generic ENG ROM instead of playing doctor frankenstein with 'carrier branded' ROMS in English.
Looking forward to hearing your comments.

Need help. Got a hd2 with a SN number from taiwan and need a english updateble rom

Sorry to bother all of you. After 80 plus hours i am close to give up and sell my HD2 or dump it.
Bought a "English HD2" in Shanghai. Found out its a old ROM with many problems. Downloaded the new ROM from HTC and got a traditional Chinese version and for sure I do not speak Chinese. .Means iI can never use or update the phone if i leave like that.
Started research, found a HK SN and and downloaded from HTC a Hongkong english version and installed it.
Installed the win frame work update to.
It worked but there is no phone keyboard anymore but now i can input in CHINESE! I need the phone keyboard I cant life with out one.
Found the EzInput soft key and installed several times, every time after installing it the phone wont start anymore and only a hard reset can bring it to life again. I made a soft rest before installing the keyboard.
Can any body help me with the keyboard?
Or any information where to get a NEW ROM which works in English but need to be able to show( not type) Chinese characters.
I am begging all of you, my eyes are red, my girlfriend is so upset that she went back to her parents and I had to switch back to my E75. SAFE me please

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately I am not a developer. If i follow what you suggested what happen? No rom software anymore? Where do i find the rom(cab file )i need?
Question
Do you mind if I ask you how much you paid for your HD2 in Shanghai? Did you order it, or buy it there? Thanks!
You can probably get a better answer to your questions in the ROM Development section of the forum.

Hey Mate,
I have the Telstra HD2 which has loads of crap software, so all I did was run the HSPL (HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433) and then found the Asia WWE (World Wide English) ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283&highlight=WWE, it has the serial number for you to download directly from HTC.
I have been using the South East Asia (Asian WWE) 1.66.707.1, with no issues.
Hope this helps

[Q] official update to 2.2?

ZTE Blade will soon celebrate it's 1th birthday and there is still no official update to Android 2.2. So i'm asking: when it will be finally finished? I really can't stand 2.1 (especially a think, that i cannot save my apps on memory card). I know that it was released in Finland, but why there? Why not for exaple in UK (only it may be in engilsh)... I'm really sad about this. So, does anyone know when finally there will be official update?
sorry for my bad English..
thanks, mirko185
With the price being so low in the UK I have my doubts that 2.2 will get released here.
Can someone please point me to a guide on the official 2.2 ROMs which I assume can be installed.
ZTE has released Froyo kernel(2.6.32) source code for the Blade... Check "System Equipment" under front page top "Support" link.
yes, I've already noticed it, but it doesn't helps me anyway... And they have so slow servers, and really non-systematic website..

and, thank really much!
I tryed the Hungarian T-Mobile one, but unfortunately it didn't work for my device, it says that my device has another version. I think it's becouse of my phone is from Slovak Orange. What a shame... :/ But at least I can believe that Orange is finishing their ROM, if T-mobile already has it done (I hope).
thanks anyway.
I have a Spanish Version of the ZTE Blade that is running 2.2. I backed up the rom before I installed a custom rom so if anyone wants a copy of what was backed up by rom manager then let me know and I will see what I can do...As far as I can remember my Blade is version B10. Hope that help someone.

edit: to get this working I downloaded this https://market.android.com/details?id=com.apedroid.pigfish to make sure my device is gen1
I then downloaded this http://www.wuala.com/peanut_hu/OSF_Blade/ROMs/fonix232/T-Mobile_HU_memory_fix_ROM which is the gen1 t-mobile hungarian eclair rom, you extract this and place this on your blade's sdcard, so sdcard/image/
turn your blade off, hold down volume + and power button, and the blade will flash the eclair rom, after this you need the above t-mobile hungarian froyo rom, http://www.t-mobile.hu/lakossagi/keszulekek/szoftverfrissites/telefon/zte_blade_2 , start your blade in FTM mode, hold volume - and power on device, flash from windows. Let it complete to 100%, all done, now running an official froyo rom
GREAT!! I gonna try this out right now!
edit:well, i relazed my blade is not rooted, so i cannot flash eclear ROM.. is there another way to install this eclear?
edit1: well, I managed to flash the hungarion officila om from T-mobile, but I can't start the phone cousa it's asking me code for unblock networks.. I try to search this out, BTW, If u did the same thing as me, do u have this code too?
The network unlock code is unique for each device.
You can get your code to network unlock your blade for free by typing your phones IMEI number here: http://arrtoo.x10.mx/unlockBlade.php
'Arr Too' over at modaco is hosting this for the blade
My blade has been network unlocked from the first day i got it

yop, mine was unlocked too, but when I flashed a T-MOBILE 2.2 android, it had locked it.. but I unlocked it and everything works like a charm..

Gingerbread v2.3.3 Movistar Spain
Hi,
I can confirm you it is a Movistar release of Gingerbread v2.3.3. I downloaded and installed and definitively is Movistar Spain version of SGT P1000.
It includes some applications specifically designed for connecting to Movistar Web pages like eMocion, applications typically included at many other phones like Nokias called BiDi, a 2D barcode reader, etc.
I is nice to see Movistar offer to Spanish customers a new version like this, they wait many months and finally is available. I don't know because I usually flash latest versions present in this forum, now I have running XXJQ1 instead.

Very smooth and battery-efficient ROM. I used it for two days and it is very well put-together. Quite easily the best stock ROM I've tried on the Tab to date

i9100P TIM ita ICS - The rooting is done!!! English and Italian guide

Hey guys, my eng is not so good so I hope you can understand what I will say. I've found the way to root the Italian Version of ICS brand TIM with NFC, the GT-i9100P.
Despite the guides for the nobrand version, that method is not suitable for the 9100P TIM.
If you want the guide you only have to wait for Monday morning: I will first publish it on my blog, then if you like I will try to translate here.
I hope this can help some of you because it has been a problem for me not to have the root privileges on the stock TIM ICS.
CYA.
===== EDIT =====
The complete guide is HERE, in italian.
If you're looking for the English version please click HERE
Please consider a small donation if you like my workaround by clicking here, thankyou.
CYA
Why wait until Monday? Flash an ICS kernel which has CWM recovery, install su + superuser/supersu, flash back original kernel (which you can find on samfirmware), ????, profit.
I guess I'm missing something.

And that will bring back NFC options in settings?
Yes, the NFC settings will be back because of the native firmware version and it's fully functional.
You miss that the NFC version is different from the one without the nfc chip: with the italian tim branded version that method is not compatible.
I've tried many times with kernels and booting in cwm to flash the SU installer but when I came back to home in ics the file was missing.
Be sure, this is the only method to flash the italian version with brand TIM; it's a bad rom to inject root because of the space.
I say to wait because the guide is timed to be published on monday morning on my blog.
If you have any idea it's wellcome, but I think you cannot make it for sure if you have not the S2 in the conditions we have in Italy with TIM carrier.
I don't have an I9100P with brand TIM to prove you wrong, but it just sounds like nonsense that existing methods do not work. Be that using the method mentioned above, or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719
I haven't heard of anyone having trouble rooting that model whilst retaining NFC functionality.
I does not do anything because the ROM is fully charged with TIM and there is no space to inject the files we need for superuser. We have no KB free to store them.

Ok, with stock rom, not rooted I mean, open Titanium and see how much free space you have on system: if you have no space you cannot flash any SU or BUSYBOX.
Mobile Odin helps me moving automatically GMaps to free space.
This is the method:
- flash stock nobrand ics
- root with cwm
- launch mobile odin and flash the branded version of ics
- it will ask to delete gmaps: say yes.
- make sure you have checked the inject superuser
- flash firmware
This is the method I found to root a rom full like an egg. I think Orange put on you roms less software than tim in Italy: we have about 10 TIM programs for about 20-30 MB occupied by them. With no root permissions we cannot unistall it to make room for SU binaries.
U still think I'm wrong?
If you search in forums you will find the in Italy we have many problems with that ICS release, not with the unbranded one instead.
Ah, thanx for add LOLSPAM to tags: is it auto-tagging? :|

If what you describe is indeed the case, your solution sounds long winded and unnecessary. You should just be able to flash a CF-root kernel, boot to CWM recovery, use adb or flash a simple script to remove some junk and carry on as normal.
However, if I was in your position I would just stick to an unbranded ROM if the provider is filling it full of junk.
My english is really bad so... In Italy we have not the i9100p unbranded... I've not used any script to clear the junks because I've not found any that was suitable for my use. I also have not the capacity to modify it for my personal needs. My solution is a workaround, I admit, but it works fine and the payment for Mobile Odin Pro from Chainfire has not been a problem.
Ok, it seems not all solutions are welcome here if they seem strange solutions.
Btw, it worked for me and till I wanted the stock rom.

This could be very interesting for Italian users who want to de-brand their Gt-I9100P branded by TIM carrier (like mine).
Which firmware are you using? Do you think it is an international, multi-language version? We could use this firmware as a base for rooting and de-branding, instead of LP7 version that seems not to work in NFC devices.
Sorry for the delay but I've been very busy.
The italian rom is multilingual too as usual but my guide is not for debrand: the TIM version will remain after the root.
The problem with the TIM operator brand is that system folder is fully charged and there's no space to place the superuser apk. In this case you can succesfully use my guide, else you don't need it.
The firmware is:
BaseBand: i9100pXXLPB
Kernel: i9100pXXLPF
Build: IML74K.XXLPF
Tomorrow the guide will be posted in english, sorry for this delay too.
