Is hspl 2.08?
Try to flash winmo 1.66 stock rom(to erase magldr and android).
Then flash magldr 1.13(or the latest one, as i am not shure whether 1.13 is the latest) and you can start installing your winphone7.

All you need to do is flash MAGLDR 1.13 via SD card. It you flash MAGLDR with a .nbh file, so you can flash it via SD card justlike a radio or ROM. Just extract the zip file for MAGLDR, then open the files it extracts. Copy the magldr.nbh file to your SD card and then rename the copied file to leoimg.nbh. Then put your HD2 into bootloader and when you see search bingo on the screen let go of theol volume down button. Then follow any on screen instructions.
Also do not flash that 1.66 ROM as the other post suggested as it will flash a x.xx.51.xx radio to your HD2. And as I can see you you are bound to have a T-Mobile HD2 from your country and carrier this would brick hour HD2. That was really bad advise I must say. The T-Mobile HD2 should never be flashed with any official ROMbesides a T-Mobile official ROM. Sorry jecustomsbut the TMOUS can not flash ROMs that are for the EU HD2 and can not flash all radio versions like the EU HD2.

Sorry, i forgot about the differences of eu hd2 and t-mobile hd2.
Would it be possible to flash t-mobile 1.66 original stock rom and then do my variant of flashing?
It means that any flashings whether radio or rom, t-mobile one has a bit more complicated procedures?

Ok so which Tom to flash? An where to get it from? Or can I just go ahead and flash my wp7 rom?

No because as far as I know T-Mobile never had a 1.66 ROM. The lowest ROM version they have is 2.01 wich was a test ROM I think. So you see the 1.66 ROM is a EU ROM. Plus even the test ROMs had radio versions 2.04.50.xx or 2.05.50.xx in them and they were used in regular HD2s also so they will brick a TMOUS HD2 as well. Us TMOUS owners have to be a lot more carful then you EU owners.

So, what I've read form xda-developers.com you can't just do a simple ROM update so the languge of your phone changes?
My Leo is currently Norwegian, but I want to change it to English OR Turkish.
Yes you can.
I'm not 100% sure if it will moan if you try to flash it with a WWE ROM though, you may need to use HSPL or a Gold Card.
hspl will do it, then flash the htc wwe rom of your choice using usb

Hey guys, I got a question.
After installing HSPL, than I should get the cooked rom. What I'm getting is
Miri HD2 V18
After I run the CustomRUU it should update right?
What if anything happens while updating? This will brick the device.. Or if anything goes wrong, I can just plug it back in the PC, and click the customRUU again?
Also, can I flash it back to a official HTC Rom if I want to? or no after I use the HSPL. Edit: seems like I can't find the OFFICIAL HTC ROM from HTC site. It said it does not support Tmobile HTC HD2. Anyone mind giving it to me too? ^^
Please help, thanks!
Bump. If I install HSPL will I brick the phone of flashing rom failed?

there are NO official HTC roms that work on the tmous. ONLY the t mobile us official roms from the t mobile website (or here) work.
ALL others WILL KILL your phone.
You can ONLY use tmous official roms, or cooked roms that say they are tmous compatible,
hey whats up guys!!!! im just posting this thread cause i really need help on flashing my tmobile leo usa htc hd2.... you see i have followed the "how to flash your htc hd2 [for noobs]" tutorial and im on the the part where my phone is gonna connect to my computer using hspl and my phone is gonna go on bootloader... however it cant connect to hspl... it saids "critical error: bad spl" now i dont know what to do.. it wont connect to hspl.. btw my phone's spl as it saids in the bootloader is 2.10.000.... let me know please quickly!!!! thanks
You have got too high of an SPL. You need to downgrade to 2.08. To do so, flash the official T-Mobile ROM, specifically the 2.13 SHIPPED version. You can get it in the ROM section of these forums. After you apply that ROM, your SPL SHOULD be 2.08, and if it is, slap HardSPL on it and let it roll!

If you are talking about flashing custom rom, you have to have HSPL on your phone first before you can flash the rom.
critical error, bad spl sounds like you are using the wrong hspl. you should be using hspl3, my guess is you are using hspl2 or hspl1024, neither of which will work with spl 2.10.0000
ya actually i am using hspl2_1024... the one that is on the link of the tutorial.. is this the wrong one??? do i need to use a different hspl??
Oh, I didn't even think to ask that. Yeah HardSPL1024 won't work with SPL2.10. Download HardSPL3 and it should work just fine with 2.10.
hspl1024 was brought out when all tmous phones had 2.08.0000 spl, and only supported tmous phones, and only 2.08 spl, and it was quickly replaced by hspl3 as a one size fits all hspl. (Though in reality regular hd2 users should stick to hspl2 for more flexibility)

blimey, calm down, most mistakes happen when excited/stressed.
yes its the same, the actual spl/hspl code that gets loaded to your phone is teh same from hspl2 as hspl3 as hspl1024, , the only difference is in the actual .exe program, what phone models it checks for, and what spl's hspl's are available. (tmous cant use 1.x spl's so they arent in hspl3)
theres a direct link in my sig to hspl3 get it, run it, choose 2.08.hspl NOT 2.08.0000, thats stock.

T-mobile sent me a text this morning about a major update.... I fell for it! Once installed it try's to prevent custom ROM installs. I was unable to back to energy ROM see attatched pic
Didn't it just wipe your HSPL? Did you try and run HSPL3 again?
Boot loader still displays HSPL but will give it a shot. bastards!
Thanks
I don't know if the T-Mobile version use the same SPL version as the Europe/Asian on (SPL 3.03)
But if this is the case, there isn't a HSPL version who is compatible with the new SPL 3.03 version jet.
So don't use HSPL, and remove HSPL before installation of this Rom!!!
You are using a wrong CustomRUU Flashing utility.
Use the one specific for HD2.
Removed HSPL and re-applied before I saw post about incompatibility... yep does not work... no custom ROM for me for a while looks like

I am using the one that worked last night and is packaged with Energy... so if you have any suggestions on which one you might be reffering to would be much appreciated.
If you have removed HSPL, and you will install a custom Rom use the SSPL procedure to install custom Rom.
Like I mentioned before I can't test it fore you (Belgium device) but on the European version I can get custom Rom on this way! (by using SPL 3.03)
Hope this can help you out.

Try HSPL3, & select to update to 2.08HSPL from scroll down list.
It may take longer but should work.
If no, then you may need to use SD card flashing method with your original regional ROM.

I installed the update just fine. This is the official T-mob US update 3.14.531.1 with radio 2.15.x.x from here: http://support.t-mobile.com/doc/tm54430.xml?

ANY Android ROM can be flashed onto a TMOUS phone. The only thing you have to be worried about is radios (and as a result Stock ROMs). As long as you have a radio above 2.08.50 you shouldn't brick a TMOUS.
all the android roms treat the regular and tmous the same, , only difference is the rom size. (there are a few large roms that need a tmous to flash, but not many)
The danger you have heard about regarding the tmous vs regular, can only come about if you flash a bad radio (either on its own or as part of a non tmous windows mobile ((not wp7)) stock rom.
SO, you already have a compatible radio (all tmous radios are compatible with android/magldr/clk), so all you have to do is never flash a non tmous stock rom, which there is very very rarely a need to do anyway, , most people here have managed to avoid flashing a winmo rom for the past two years.

Trust me, don't bother Task29ing. If any guide you read states it as a necessary first step, you should probably ignore it.

It's probably because of the insufficient partitions sizes. As long as you repartition, you shouldn't worry.

which ROM have you installed?
I am having the same problems with a TMOUS. Rom installations most of the times don't go well...
I'm not able to boot into the rom after installation. Now I managed (after many tries) to boot into touchWizMod 1.0
But it's far from stable. Any suggestion?
I used to do task29 + radio (2.15 radio for TMOUS) all the times, but now i'm just repartitioning the cwm with hd2 toolkit. could this be a problem?
PS radio downloaded from here: http://www.rhiffsta.ch/LEO_Radio/list.html
bad news: it seemed that it was working fine, but after rebooting to insert the SIM it booted but had no signal no network...nothing!!!
rebooted again---> now i'm stuck at the margld GO GO GO
EDIT after some minutes without the battery, it is booting again, but it freezes after inserting the pin to unlock the sim.
what kind of problem this could be?
