[Q] Bluetooth PAN internet tethering to iPad, which roms work? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Has anyone found any ROMS for the HD2 that actually work with Bluetooth PAN tethering using the app 'wireless tether' ?
I currently use Hyperdroid NAND but that only seems to work with Wifi tether or USB tether.
I'd ideally like to be able to use bluetooth PAN tethering as it will use less battery power but i can't find any ROMS that seem to support it?
any ideas folks?

Tether

Hi I was wondering does wired tether with the usb work on the EVO? I've tried but failed at connecting to the internet.
Is there a development to work around this?
And I prefer wired tether over wireless tether because I believe its just faster.
I second this request!

Bluetooth tethering/connecting not working

I have seen several posts stating that bluetooth tethering works with the Aria, but I'm not having any luck. I am rooted, running FR008 (thanks attn1). I am hoping to connect my Archos 101 via bluetooth so I can use the Aria's GPS receiver to run navigation apps on the 101.
Am I reading this all wrong? Is bluetooth tethering really possible with this device and ROM?

The term 'tethering' usually involves sharing the phone's network connection with a PC so that a PC is able to access the Internet through the phone. Bluetooth tethering allows a PC to make a BT connection to the phone to share the network connection. In some cases you can also access the phone's SD card to copy files and you can copy pictures and contacts. I have not seen any reference to bluetooth tethering in regards to utilizing the phone's GPS connection. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

[Q] Can I use LG ENV3 (vx9200) as internet?

Hi, got my A7 running great!! Dexters mod (1.41) works wonders - it's a great computer now!!!
I was wondering if there is any way to tether my A7 to my Verizon VX9200 ENV3 phone so I can use the phone to get to internet?
I have got the bluetooth paired on both.
Is there an app for that???
Would be great.
If not, can I tether it to my laptop and use the internet connection from there? I have a Verizon USB internet dongle, and can share the internet that way.
I do have the A7 paired with the laptop bluetooth.
Is there an app for that also?
Thanks for the info.
PS...I have a bluetooth GPS receiver on the way ... Holux 1200e....Will let you know soon.

wired usb tether

hello
i have seen some threads asking about usb tethering but i havent been able to find a fix yet
so usb tether doesnt work on android builds(at least none that i could find)
i didnt want to post in the devs rom because this seems to be a general issue with all roms.
with wm 6.5 usb tethering works and comes up as a usable connection
so i know i have the dnis drivers to use usb tether.
when using android, anytime i would tick tether it says its connected but nothing happens on my desktop it really seems as the drivers dont support the android verision of tether.
can anyone explain how i can check the difference of whats being used between windows mobile and android?
fixed
so i found a fix as far as using and wired usb tether apk
this works for me on my current build which is in my sig
hope this helps someone else
thanks

N7 Bluetooth Internet

So I am working on making a custom Launcher for my N7 to be installed into my dash of my car. One simple thing I am trying to do is tether the internet from my Galaxy S4 via bluetooth to my N7. It has worked once, though now my N7 will refuse to make the internet option stay connected. Anyone have any ideas why? Maybe my S4 is blocking it?
I have been using an old Nokia for bluetooth tethering and the app BlueVPN on my N7. I haven't had any issues with the connection dropping. Does Samsung provide their own software for bluetooth tethering?
I do know that as of now, there are various apps that do not detect an internet connection when you're only connected through the bluetooth method I use due to a bug, for example the browser works fine but you cannot download apps from the market unless you are also connected to wifi.
