My magic is stuck on vodaphone logo

hey guys help me my HTC magic is stuck on vodaphone logo..
i just buy it second hand ..i dont know ether it is b31 or b32..or even i dont know that it is rooted or not..
i found something that fastboot or recovery Img can solve this problem ..is this true?.
and i also it is necessary that phone must be rooted for fastboot or recovery IMG flashing?
tell me the exact method and IMG files link by using which i can recover my magic back..
one thing i am sure that its android 1.5...

I have the same thing.
I can still enter fastboot but it's a SHIP SPL so I cannot use flashboot (remote: now allow). Only way to fix is put SD in other phone, get original update.zip and update? I cannot enter custom recovery (clockwork / amon_ra)

how to go to fastboot ? or recovery mode?

i dont have another phone to take original update...
hey can i find it that original update on internet? or in this fourm?

Turn off phone first, then turn it on by holding BACK+Power.
That will get you fastboot.

will i need rom for recover

U need to know what board 32a/32b your on first n if ure rooted, u can find out that by holding volume down n power

[Q] help needed im a newbie custom rom / psfreedom

hey all
i just traded i my touch pro for a tattoo. its driving me nuts.
I dont nothing about the android system. and its driving me up the wall. ive seen a few custom roms in the development sections, and i want to give them a go, but i dont no how install them onto the device.
ive read through forums, ive search hard enouff to make me go potty, im not gettin anywhere,, so i resorted this as a last resort, nobody please getting angry, for not knowing anything,

Im also trying to do psfreedom, ive managed to flash the recory rom and so on, but when i try to load it, the tattoo just freezes on boot tattoo logo nothing happens, so i carnt even get that right, i read something to do with the rom, hense why im trying to change it.
anyways all i want is some guidence to put in the right direction of all this, and a rough step by step guide on how to do this.
somebody please help.

QPsfreedom? Hah, i did that.
Goto klutsh.com and there you can dl an recovery that includes loading of psfreedom payloads + hermes hex and ps3 service mode.
From the recovery you can do an zip install where you can select a rom
Btw if ure just a beginner, you should goto theunlockr.com and see their tattoo how-to guides
Succes with customizing

Oh and btw if u dont know
HBoot (fastboot and stuff) : hold power on + volume down
Recovery : hold Power on / hang up + home
Btw give rom manager a try (select htc buzz instead of tattoo)

[q] i cant entering into xrecovery after use 2.3.3 rom

TWO DAYS AGO I RESTORE MY BACK UP ROM 2.3.3
CM7-J005 VIA XRECOVERY
BUT NOW I CANT ENTERING TO X-RECOVERY, EVEN I HAMMER BACK BUTTON AND TRY FOR SEVERAL TIMES
AS I REMEMBER I DONT UPDATE MY BUSYBOX
I NEED TO CHANGE MY ROM,... PLASE HELP

If you really need to change the ROM just run SEUS and root again.

SEUS? What for? If the ROM is booting and working then all that must be done is to reinstall xRecovery manually and try to get into it again

if you install b box installer and xrec you will get it back as i had the same problem hope that help

i have a problem over here, since updating my set using RUU - RUU_Buzz_Froyo_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.24.707.1_Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10_release_161113_signed.exe
Current details:
BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT - 1.01.0002 (previously 0.0.82...)
When i hard reset, try to recovery mode to flash other ROM's, its start shown handphone image with alert on red color icon. then, when i try to push vol up + power button, error msg shown E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command... Also blue font text on top Reboot system now, Apply sdcard update...., Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache partition... thats all..
How, can i get back to normal recovery mode.. pls, help me!!

WHY DID U FLASH THAT RUU_Buzz_Froyo_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.24.707.1_Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10_release_161113_signed.exe
It updated ur hboot to 1.01 and made it unrootable. U have done a great mistake without being aware. What u have used all these days is custom recovery.
And now, what u see the red triangle one is the official recovery with which u cannot flash custom roms.

my bad.. i'm a beginner to this smartphone.. its my bad.. i didn't really notice or aware about this.. empty knowledge..
means now, i'm stuck to this ****.. someone, who is really can help, highly appreciated.. but, reading thru all those previous post, seems like, whoever had this problem, will stuck here, end of the story.. sucks!!

U must have got this phone from others. Since if u r beginner to this one, u might not have known about custom recovery.
Anyway, presently only there is one option to root, and that is with the paid xtc clip. And welcome to the crew of people waiting for froyo root.

Mytouch 4G Bricked or not?

hello , i need serious help cause my phone is bricked , so i wanted to go back to stock rom , but i used gfree , so i had to flash the part7back file , but the problem is i don't have sooo , i used my uncles from his mytouch 4g and and when i turned off my phone to check if there was s-on , nope i wouldn't turn on , when i connect it to the computer it charges and adb finds it , but i need help to fix it , adb says its in recovery but i cannot see the screen , is their anyway i can fix the phone through adb ? Thanks guys for taking your time to read this and help me out

I've never used that method before but I know the part7backups are device specific. There really is no coming back unless you try manually flashing a new hboot to see if that works or putting pd15img.zip on the sd and blindly navigating...good luck

thanks , but i when the phone turns on , it automatically geos into recovery but i have to blind navigate , which i don't know clockword recovery by heart , so im kind of stuck.

if you don't know it by heart try using another phone so u can see the options that u should click on. or maybe finding a video on youtube that can show you the steps and options.. good luck..
