If it is modem.tar it goes on PDA. Modem.bin it goes in phone. That's it.

So i bricked my vibrant (DO NOT INSTRUCT ME TO DO **** TO "UN-BRICK" IT, I'VE BEEN HERE FOR A WHILE AND I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOFT/HARD BRICKS" and Tmobile's sending me a new one...
shipping starts on monday bcz warehouses are closed on weekends...

I was ODIN'ing back and i put the PIT file... (ithink) and accidentally clicked start before putting PDA file.
I have a laptop with a wireless mouse so it fell on floor and pressed ok on start and BAM brick.

I just had to do a warranty exchange on my vibrant (dead usb port). I went in Monday, had my phone friday but they never gave me a tracking number, it just showed up. I'm not sure when it was made, but my refurb was running 2.1, ji6. GPS was is really solid tho, a touch better than my old July vibrant.
Go ahead and get some ****load of movies (porn is advised but other types are also welcomed).

I have odin'd doing nothing but the .pit file. So that is definitely not what caused it.
I suggest wanking (again) lol theres nothing wrong with doing it twice.. 27in? Wow that's small.

It was either the PIT or PDA i'm not sure which, but thats the problem, there was no problem from my side besides pressing start with only 1 file there.

Answer: 1. Odin to stock if you can get into DL mode if you can't, skip to step 2
2. Go to Sprint and say your issue or say you got an update and your phone wont turn on. Act stupid.
Big no-noes:
-Usually sprint store reps can't tell you rooted. So don't say "yeah, om rooted so..." or throw up an obvious sign like a theme or boot logo/animation.

Latest leak was EF02. When you install stock EF02 you can use Update Firmware to update the modem OTA to EF10, but nobody has captured EF10 AFAIK.

Do a google search for unroot Epic 4g. It should be the first link that comes up. It's not XDA, so I can't post the link here. However, it's the easiest way I know. Install a little program on your computer, start it, and follow the directions. After it's done, just do an OTA update. It's so easy it's ridiculous. I think they call it the RUU or something like that.
Its easy Watch QB king 77 videos on YouTube he has the links to the things you need to unroot I just did this a week ago before I gave my mom my epic & got the nexus you need the pit file & tar file put the pit file where it suppose to go & then put the EC05 tar file in PDA slot make sure its checked & only have auto reboot checked on top of Odin!!! DO NOT CHECK F.RESET TIME OR RE- PARTITION

I just got it in 22 minutes.
Mine took 6 hours because I was a cheapskate and didn't want to pay for premium download speeds lol still haven't had to use it yet, but if the time came and I have to unbrick my phone I would not want to wait, everyone should have it on hand,,, just in case :beer:
I just re downloaded it took 1 hour this time.. My friend said he would leave his door unlocked cause he was falliong asleep.. So I waited for it to downoad called him he didnt answer.. So I went to his house.. Locked!! lol.. Now he can pay me to do it now.. What a nite.. Thanks guys
