I didn't bother to look for this anywhere, so this thread can be deleted after a reasonable answer, but I'm just wondering if there's anything wrong with CM7 Nightlies 29 & 30 and are there any changes made since CM7 RC2 worth noting. Thanks.

I'd look on Cyanogen(mod)'s official website for a channel log. I'm sure there are differences but as to what i do not know. I typically only run the RC's.
Some drivers were updated thanks to the Incredible S firmware image that they got their hands on. I imagine there might be another RC after they sort that out (but you never know). RC2 is good enough for me, I'll wait for the next RC (or Stable Release, if we're that close to it).
Yea, I was just wondering, but I tried flashing nightly 30 with faux123's new kernel and it kept bootlooping after I turned on wifi, so I went back to RC2

There is your answer. You can also search Google for CM changes. Or even look on the cyanogenmod webpage. Searching is your friend.

I tried looking on the website but I didn't really see anything unless it was in their forums but there forums for nightlies are filled with irrelevant info and posts about MANY of the other nightlies. Kinda hard to look there

Does it even happen on stock?
I am using royalginger and loving it except for 2-5 minute data dropout every hour or so. Using built-in kernal and S=Off.
I know folks are working on this and will figure it out soon but I wonder if there is a rom I can move to in the meantime that doesn't suffer from this, for me, quite crippling problem.
I appreciate any/all suggestions. Thanks.
Any sense rom shouldn't have that problem. So as long as it sense Rom should be no data drops haven't had one yet. On any sense rom.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
Yep. Anything sense doesn't have that issue. Its an AOSP issue. I believe faux is looking into the issue for his next aosp rom.
Until then.. you will be fine with sense roms.

I believe this is not related to aosp, but more so gingerbread roms in general, but I could be mistaken

but the G2x isn't AOSP. I learned that this week, It's a variant of AOSP but has LGs innards in it.
Title explains it all, basically there is no audio in or out with CM7 nightly #11 on my vibrant. Calls still do go through however.
Would I be better off flashing back to an older nightly, or is there a fix for this problem. Searching the CM7 for Vibrant thread on the Android Development section didn't turn anything up, or I might have missed it.
Thanks guys!
You didn't search the vibrant CM7 section enough, nor have you searched the CM7 q&a section nearly enough. This is a onown issue on nightly builds #9-11, and there isn't a new official nightly yet, (I'm talking about a nightly built by the cm buildbot, not the one atinm has posted to sourceforge for the time being).
But yeah, there is no reason for this thread to exist.

I really hate to troll..... But this is ridiculous. You really couldn't have put much effort into searching the cm7 thread. Its repeated so many times it practically slaps you in the face when you open the thread.
Please delete this thread.

Didn't see a thread so I thought I'd share! @Cvpcs has successfully booted CM7 on the DX! Read the article here: http://www.android-invasion.net/?p=307
Very cool, haven't had a CM compatible phone since my G1. Look forward to some beta releases to play with.
Awesome! Can't wait for release.

Not sure we'll ever see a stable one, though. If you look at the Android Police article on it, like nothing works with it at present on the DX; they were just able to boot into it, lol.
Go to rootzwiki and see what he posts plenty of things work.....however for sure alpha. But a whole hell alot more than nothing.

Same. Haven't had it since my HTC Eris, and that took forever just to get root for the SOB. I've missed it.

WRONG!
Side note its pretty stable.
So after reading the wiki and mdw, it's possible to flash back and forth on the device? Between cm7 and .596? Like boot into cm7 from .596 and back without using a pc? No sbf or anything?
DX 2.3.3
Working GPS on CM7 ^_^
Replace GPS.shadow.so in /system/lib/hw/ with the GPS.shadow.so used in stock .596.
(Be sure to set permissions)

Flashed on my gf's Droid X. Its stable, fast, functional - only issues are:
- autobrightness
- camera
- gps
- some video codecs
Its already merged into official cm git and nightlies will soon be published through buildbot and be on rom manager.
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_motorola_shadow
You could probably build from source now and have the fixed camera and gps.
cm4dx has nightlies now!

They're working on cm9. If you really wanted cm7 nightlies its not hard to set up a build environment..

Are you referring to nightlies? If so, they took down the build bot. However, I believe someone built one and uploads fairly frequent builds. Check the dev section.
The CM team is focusing on CM9
Edit. You beat me nic.

sooo...whats the difference between Euroskank's CM7 and the official listed here
I always thought CM7 was CM7, just different versions like RC, SR, and Nightly. does each one have different cherry picks or something?(the official and Euroskank)

The one posted above are knockoffs, the download the OS, modify it and call it there own.
Stable - Most stable, least amount of cutting edge add ins and features
RC - Mixed, stable most the time, with some cutting edge add ins and features
nightlies - updated frequently, has alot of the newest of the new, might/will be a tad buggy.
If you want CM7 run with Cyanogen's builds from their website.
if yo want AOSP, use Faux's build or Cyanogen.

I wouldn't say it's a knock off. They straight up call it a Kang and never called it theirs. I like it because they cherry pick certain things and actually add several thing that I like.
