hello guys,
this is my first post so you can correct me if i did anything wrong.
at school we have a website, infonet.hszuyd.nl to view the schedule and to open it on a computer you have to type username and password:
img121.imageshack.us/img121/9579/naamloosiu.png
my galaxy 3 fails to show this pop-up and instead it directly shows me this page that says im not authorised to see it:
img138.imageshack.us/i/naamloos5c.png
does anybody in here know how to fix it?
there are more people in my class with android phones that have the same problem as i have, all of them actually, only the guy with an iphone doesn't seem to have this problem
* i deleted the htttp:// because the website prevents new users to post links to prevent spam or something like that

I wonder if anyone has any suggestions: I have used the settings that I found here a while ago, to attempt to access the internet with my XDA II; I have bought a prepay o2 SIM card as my contract doesn't support internet access - but it is very very cheap.
I can access the internet, I can get on to Google, and things like the BBC website that seems to be built in to the o2 active is fine; but I can't get onto other websites such as Yahoo Mail (I did once, but it's gone sulky on me and refuses to cooperate now).
If I search Google, it will come up with the usual list of websites, and it is quite often possible to get the information I need from the clues there, but it refuses to let me get onto whatever the website is.
Can anyone think of anything I could do? Is it the Pay and go SIM card, or is my XDA II not powerful enough? Any thoughts would be very welcome.
the question has been answered by exploring another thread; I changed the portal (possibly) from 80 to 8080 and it now works. I should be looked further before answer the question, but thanks to those who post useful information.
Hi guys,
I have unlocked my phone and am able to run Android 1.1 from Bootkit 0503 found on this forum. While it runs great with minor issues one thing annoys me a lot.
I cannot log into Marketplace, Calendar, sync contacts etc. because the gmail login prompt always fails. It says there something in the sort of: There's something wrong with your SIM card or connection.
I have the browser working when I enter the APN in defaults.txt in Haret. I have to connect through the modem application in Android first. I have never succeeded to amke the "Togga" application connect to anything. I tried entering the APN in Android itself too, but this doesn't seem to have an effect.
It is really annoying to have working GPRS in Android (I can browser on the web), but the Calendar applications etc. refuse to acknowledge it.
My provider is Telmore in Denmark.
How do you guys make it work?

The problem got obsolete after I bought the HTC Magic where "it just works".
Thanks for responding though.
I am sorry to post this irrelevant question, but how did you load Android on your touch dual? I would love to do this as well!
Is there a guide for complete newbies somewhere?
I got a build from here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Niki_Android
There are links to forum threads which discuss installation.
I have an e shop at kingeshop. I bought this phone only to go on the web on my admin interface.
I tried on IE mobile and opera. Sometime it work, sometime not, it says i didn't write the good password or email or security code but i check and it's good.
With IE:
When it work i can go on the main page and when i want to go for example on the products page, IE goes to the connection page and i have to write again passwords and all... and i can't access the other pages.
with opera: i can view the other page but i can't modify products or delete products.
i bought the phone only to do that when i'm not at home.
anyone can tell me if there is a way to solve this problem?
up, am i in the right section for the post?
do i have to post it somewhere else?

didn't find the answer

I think that internet connection is not needed, as gmail password is already stored somewhere inside the software (assuming you have already set up your gmail account). You can also try to reinstall the official firmware.

ah i see, thanks for the info
I have upgrade it also but its in same condition....I think after updating the old data(gmail account) already washed out....Its now not even accepting any gmail account....I think the phone need internet connection...How to connect to internet???thats the question.....
What are the domain names or IP addresses of the update servers where Android clients download any updates for installed Apps? I think they must be somewhere in the Cyanogenmod image, but I can not find them. Does anybody know them?
I tried the same question already on android.stackexchange.com/questions/49275/how-to-block-android-app-updates-with-a-packet-filter but I think the guys there were not even able to understand the question.
ps these stupid 10 post limits suck
Nobody who can answer this?
I found this document describing Android market:
lytsing.org/wiki/android/android-market-api.html
Is this still up to date?
Did I already mention, that it sucks that I can not post links?
I got it. The Android client does two requests. The first request gets answered by a redirect to the actual download location. This implements some kind of load balancing. I have documented the packets I sniffed here: ceving.blogspot.de/2013/07/androids-package-download.html
