I'm hoping it will come soon, but could be a few weeks. With these talented guys though, you never know, it could be much sooner than we think.
Or simply more later that we think.
Anyway nothing if we don't have proper tool.

no one has a clue, need to see what DFT can do, but if ms make it harder to do then who knows! its a guess but im sure it will happen sooner or later, im not to bothered about it to be honest, all those things i thought i "needed" from WM and android dont seem to be bothering me at all

Had a look over at their site but could'nt find any trace of a Nodo build for the HD2. I can only see the topics not the whole threads as i'm not regstered there but i guess they would open a new topic for that...
Till there is a confirmation from someone who can actually read whole topics and makes it available here i'm not convinced there is a HD2 nodo rom.
When there is an update for NoDo there is no doubt that XDA-Developers will get it when Cotulla and the DFT team leader decide to give it to us. Even if there were an update now, I doubt that any upright member of the DFT website would post it here without the express permission of Cotulla and DFT, as there is the matter of respect for the hard work these people do to be considered.
In a nutshell, it is useless speculating when an update will come, and it is even more useless sending people to a Chinese site they can not read to find an update that is not yet there. All that we can do is be patient, and thankful when it does come.

Our HD2 with WP7 is unique, it has its own drivers, drivers Microsoft doesnt support, IF they can get WP7 to update via Zune there is a high chance that an update could completely bugger our device by changing important drivers, meaning you would need to reflash it anyway to get it working again
so, to be honest, i think what we need is a backup program, this will enable us to backup what we need, and reflash the device, we can the restore the backed up programs/data afterwards
And thankfully someone IS working on that

yeah, we got that bit, we're talking (i think!) about being able to update (via Zune) rather than reflash
i dont think being able to update will, or even should happen, but the backup may be useful

The answer to your question is remarkably simple; a search thru the different forums would have answered your question. But we're not to lame the help you on your way
You can find all original RUU, including the WWE edition, in these forum and the wikipage. If you flash this WWE edition RUU version to you p3450 you have the english toy. Since your flashing, you might try the Touch-It version. The same OS but enhanced and slimmed down to make it more userfriendly.
One warning before you start flashing; make sure you have read enough to be sure you know what you're doingand you don't brick your phone.
If you have a "vendor-id" error; you will first have to unlock your CID lock. Chech the Mobile 6 subforum and look for a post by canonyang_China on how to flash without CID-unlock

I do agree with u 100% although i did not have more patient and time to spend on this issue, please accept my appoligies for sure i made something wrong and did not work with my "old" toy, at the moment i have the new one, is working as it is suposted, i'm happy and move on.

Hello everybody, I understand there is no hardspl but just wandering
if anybody has successfully applied 'gold card' method [using QMAT software]
to change language on their HTC HD2. Infact as far as I know hardspl is needed only for cooked ROMs but if you want just to put an official ROM but in a different language I've been told you just need to follow the 'gold card' method and you don't need a hardspl [you loose your warranty though!]
Is this true and has anybody already successfully applied this method to HTC HD2???

QMAT is 20 Euros, I am willing to pay it if it will do the job...
Already bought it.. It has some nice features.. And the full version, which includes support for LEO is to be released at the weekend i heard..
Will dig more into that, when it is released..

If all software authors would just quit as soon as a hack or crack appears then we would be out of programs to buy pretty soon...

Trust me ... normally I don't care about my program being cracked. But cracking even unreleased beta just for some yet "unknown" stuff .... this is crazy. They even don't care if this beta has some REAL bugs that will kill some phones. And those nerds using the cracked Software are spaming my email account saying I would have killed their phone or they want support even though they never donated ... this just sucks.
However, we are now going one step further and are now working with security professionals .. money I would have preferred to use for QMAT development ... and there is a lot we want to integrate. Another change will be the name : QMAT is going to be PSAS.

Hello guys, I'm having a couple of issues with my GSM Hero...and i have several doubts...if you can help me i will be most thankful.
#1 - how to enter recovery mode on my GSM Hero ? i press home+power and the triangle comes up, after that...nothing... shouldn't there be some options ?
#2 - can i load the official 2.1 European update without being by FOTA (don't forget i don't have root please!)
#3 - is there any RUU .exe with the official 2.1 European update?
#4 - I've flashed my European GSM Hero from 2.73.405.5 to the Taiwanese Chunghwa 3.31.751.1 to get 2.1 and it worked.Now I wish to go to WWE versions and it gives me error 141 incorrect id or something like that, how can i revert back to WWE?
I'm sorry for so many questions, but I don't know what else to do, the phone is unrooted and working perfectly with the 2.1 chungwa version, but since 2.1 has came out in Europe,I wan't to install the European version of it ans replace the Asian.
I've google it in every forum i could found so far on android devices, I've done several attempts, I've red like hell but no results so far. Any help is highly appreciated.

the problem is I'm not able to load 2.73.405.5 again due to an error 140/141 that says something like bootloader error or id error, something like that...

i don't understand how it works for all of your Gsm Hero users, but...
Solution to question 1
for me to enter the recovery on the Hero I had to press vol.down+power, choose recovery, and when in "triangle mode" (lol) vol.up + power. that way I can use the android system recovery and apply an update.zip from the sdcard.
Solution to question 2
I think so. Will certainly report back to avoid that others have to suffer like I did to find the answer (you have no idea of the time I've spent on the last days reading forums for a simple thing like question 1...no one even cared to reply or say "hey,try this") I know a lot of people done the same thing I did with the hurry of seeing 2.1 on their Hero's.

Not yet, and probably won't be.

I will let you know. I will use the official update.zip that can be found here on XDA, with the android system recovery and give it a go.

You will have to downgrade first, possible chance you need to use the goldcard method. Once you have downgraded you can eitha get the update via OTA or apply one of the WWE update.zip ROMS via recovery.
I had to use the goldcard method to go from WWE 2.73.405.5 RUU to Chunghwa 3.31.(something)(their 2.1 official)
but to downgrade back to 2.73.405.5 even with the goldcard, it doesn't work for me.
It always gave incorrect bootloader or something like that even with the goldcard.

yes I can, no problem with that since I now figured it out what is the correct key combinations...so simple and yet so hard to find...

I am not sure, but I think it can help you downgrade and then you can install the new update (or better yet just use it to flash a rooted ROM based on the official version...).

You cannot downgrade as the RUU updates misc with your main version, OTA doesn't.
Just wait patiently for an RUU of the WWE 2.1

It will come out eventually.
The first update was only to get your recovery ready for the update.
I confirm, even through recovery it didn't work.When doing the apply sd card update.zip through recovery, it gives installation aborted after a while....Do you think i should make a Goldcard and try again with the same method?

So I've been trying to root my HTC (Hero GSM 2.1-update-1 (3.41.61.31), originally Orange Spain, but unlocked by code) for few hours now, haven't managed yet. All the articles I've found about rooting this phone seems to be quite old and none seem to be more recent than the latest OTA update they've sent.
Even the latest version of Androot (1.6.2 beta 5) doesn't seem to work; I keep getting a Failed ! No ~~~ Fu goo ~~~ seemingly clueless error.
Found some more hardcore ways to do it, but then again, all of them quite old and no one confirming if for the current version - I don't want to end up with an expensive paperweight
I want to root it in order to install the latest Froyo ROM (Oh, and if anyone have serious reason for opposing to the villainrom 1.7, I'd appreciate a headsup)
Please, could anyone refer me to the definite how-to-root-this-thing?

Are you from Spain? I am and I spent all night trying to root or upgrade to some kind of distro, but there was no luck...
I had the same firmware and update as you, and... at the end I'll get it! :]
The thing was just go to htc page to download the "latest" drivers for your HTC Hero Orange (important to be orange cuz if not it won't be able to download -also it would ask for a serial number, just write it on-).
What you downloaded now is just to downgrade your cellphone and override all newer updates... Then your phone will be back in time to 1.5 (dino-droids!)
Yeeeey! I did a big party after that ¬¬
Well... then all you have to do is follow the steps for a common htchero unlock... you can apply androot, and put some roms and that...
En mi caso, me ha quedado un Hiro! de la ostia! :] va sobradamente más rápido que antes.

I was looking for a cheap phone when i noticed this phone in the t-mobilie macedonia catalog.Now i've been doing some research and it turned out that this is actually a branded huawei u8600.But all the info i found on the huawei phone is in chinese , so if anyone knows any detailed specs like cpu , ram , screen size , anything please tell me.Also if there are any roms available even in chinese.And can we also add this phone to the list

I just root it with SuperOneClick.
First i also found those specs but i wanted to know if anyone owned the phone and could tell me for sure(the guy that posted those specs says that he doesn't actually own the phone), second does anyone know if there are custom roms available , and third is it possible to upgrade to 4.0. the huawei phone is capable of running 4.0 but would the same roms(if there are any) work on this branded version
The phone is good,very good for that money... but unfortunately there r few bad sides like the phone doesnt have multi touch, very low internal memory and the camera isnt perfect but it satisfactory , furthermore the phone has AWESOME battery..
So PLEASE someone if knows how to root move balance pm me .. the root thing is only option for the phone cuz it has very low internal memory so with the root i can install and move things to the sd card.
btw the sepcs r like the guy said in the second post , also u can check in gsmarena about details

hello! i dont know if im making the question in the right place but i need help!!! my phone known as t-mobile move balance (huawei u8600) its wifi doesnt want to turn on.. when i check the box to turn on the wifi it says WIFI CANNOT TURN ON !!!! i need help .. thank you
