Good Desire (not HD or Z) Sense Rom? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I use RafDroid HD. Used it since 3.5 and also used the latest 4.0.
However, since he refuses to acknowledge the bug I reported about the freeze while recording and losing of the frames in both the versions above, I want to move to another rom.
What I want:
- At least the battery life of rafdroid
- desire sense ( not hd or desire z )
- if it's possible, at least 100 mb internal storage free and no ext partition needed for that

Try prj's/projection's desire build.

Skink's Desire rom has served me well. I cant compare the battery life to what you are using though.

Frankinstine's sense roms are the best desire sense roms I have used!

Frankinstine light is what I seek but after install I couldn't install any app. Even after reboot.

Desire versus Desire HD builds

What are the benefit/downside for Desire versus Desire HD builds?
I read somewhere that Desire may boot up faster whereas Desire HD may look better on HD2? Any comments are welcome.
I have SD/RAM darkstone right now, which uses Desire base. What's a good comparison RAM build for Desire HD?

All you are going to get here is opinion. I would honestly suggest backing up your data, and trying both out. The only true way to make a decision is to try each one.
For my opinion:
I use Desire base, not HD. I believe it is more suited to our phones specification, it is less buggy, and does everything I need. Even 'stock' HD's have issues that HTC are trying to solve, so the devs here have no chance to fix some things, until HTC do. Also, I have a 512 HD2, so the space issue is a big player for me. If you have 512MB leo, you're probably better off with a desire build, if you're on TMoUS, sure, go ahead and try a build you like the look of.
HTH
Desire HD has some nice eye candy and some new HTC widgets..that's just it (also there HTC sense online services, but i don't use them)
Personally I use the desire HD/Z hybrid (CMYLXGO's 15Jan one) becoz I like the eye candy and it works fine for me without any hiccups. Initial DesireHD builds were laggy and buggy...but developer's have ironed out the bugs and phone feels as smooth as Desire build...you have to disable live wallpaper though...it has big performance penalty
Thanks. I may try it out since I have a tmo version. I assume the rom you recommended is non ram? I haven't tried an android sense yet either so it may be somewhat worthwhile.

Android 2.2.1 with HTC sense and app2sd+ support Daily USE

Hi,
I'm already searching for roms for 1 month but i cant find one that fits my demands.
I'm now using the rom:
[21.MAR.11][ZIP]skink Clean Desire v1.4|APPS2SD+|CWM+AD Rec.|theme support[prj v0.4]
I'm searching for the same only than in the Desire HD Android 2.2.1 version with also HTC Sense and APPS2SD+.
Its for daily use.
I already found this one but it had no HTC sense:
[5 FEB]MarkinuX HD Extra Clean V1.71 [app2sd+, DesHD-WO Sense, DailyUse] [KERNEL?]
ive never had any issues with either imilkias hd ram 1.0 or rafpignas 4.0.2 both are stable and fast

[Q] How to keep Sense running smooth? Maintenance routine for Android on HD2?

Dudes,
I've been running Android on HD2 for a few weeks now and it's great so far - it's basically like a Desire HD for half the price. But I've been having a problem in regards to keeping the Sense UI running smooth after a few days, no matter what build I try (this is why I'm posting in general)
I've tried Imilka's Desire Z, Rafdroid HD 4.0.2, Rafdroid HD Light 3.2 SQ and CMYLXGO Light. So far, CMYLXGO seems like it's the smoothest, but I'm still experiencing significant slow down and jerkiness of the Sense UI after a few days.
Are there any maintenance routines or tweaks I can try to keep Sense running smooth?
I'm sure there's something in regards to
-cache cleaning
-ram cleanup
-reboot routines etc
that I could try, but I'm not sure where to start, and I'm kinda iffy about using a task killer
Any ideas would be great, especially if we can make this a resource thread for people with the same question
thanks,
zuka
Less apps installed
Less memory usage for micro sd
Keep the internal memory little used. Like eight hundred or more megabytes free
Just my two cents
That's a good idea in theory, but I've got an EU HD2 with 512mb of internal memory. With CMYLXGO Light installed and every possible app moved to the SD card, I have 20 megs of free internal storage.
Would creating an EXT3 partition on my SD card have any effect in speeding up the phone by allowing it to use it for internal memory, or does that not work in every rom? (Derp: Just checked and Cmylxgo DHD doesn't support data2ext. Sorry)
Well just to point out. Desire hd and z roms aren't really smooth. Unless there has been a significant improvement from the last time I tried, which was 3 weeks ago, yeah. So yeah, just pointing out that you can't ask for it to be something it isn't.
My point is that on first install, and even after installing all apps, the build is significantly smoother than it becomes over the next few days. I suspect there's some kind of way to clear out caches etc to make it run at a stable speed over time, so i'm just checking if anybody has any tips
As the sense version number increments it get more bloated and eats up more space and memory.
What I recommend is desire/bravo ( not desire hd or z ). It's an older version of sense that has some advantages in my oppinion:
- no htc hub, htc likes, htc crap
- timestamp on picture
- occupies less space
- runs faster.
- the battery is ok
So, try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=992430
The desirez and dhd builds are not smooth in general.
I use Skinks Clean Desire and ist very smooth. Only disadvantage is that it hasn't the new sense 2.1 features.
The nest best things to hope for are the new roms coming now. With Gingerbread and sense 2.1 based of the desire s or incredible s.
For now i can recommend Imilkas Vivo build. Almost everything is working.

Low Memory is this normal?

I have just installed core droid and its fine but i have find out that the memory left is low even with no open apps i have
Used 329Mb Free 82 Mb and i have notice that the phone is so slow
is this normal?
Another thing
Theres a rom out there lite ( i mean like pongster rom) that allows me to dowload all of the apps like nimbuzz skype etc... i think those apps requieres sense im not sure.
Theres a lite rom with sense out there and most of all stable?
I have a tmous leo btw
Thanks in advance.
if its a sense 3/3.5 rom then thats about normal you can tweak things but you wont get that much, its one reason ive moved away from sense builds now
I have over 85 apps using Daekin sense of Eclipse (sense 2.1) rom. Granted all of the game apps I have moved to sd but even with all the 3.5 roms out there I couldn't get close to that.

Which is best NAND android rom for HD2?

please help! !!!
MIUI
ENERGY
Hyper Droid
Nexus HD2?
which rom you guys think is better!!
please help!!! I already flash all them don;t see any diffent.
which is battery saver and faster?
Why not try all of them to see yourself which one is better
I'm using SENSATION XL V 2.5 stock ALL IN ONE on my HD2. Its kinda laggy but I think that might be about my sd card. But everyone says it's the fastest and smothest Sense Rom ever. So I would give it a try.
For now, froyo and nexus based rom GB are suitable for my EU HD2. Runny and pyramid are still buggy and most of them runs laggy. Don't now if this happen to tmous version, since it has more internal memory.

Xperia Arc Beta
i think the xperia arc beta is very good!!! i use it every day and it´s the best rom for my hd2!!!!
I think you need to try by yourself to find out the one for you!
There is no perfect suit for everyone!!
I used Typhoon Cyanogenmod for a looong time, about 6-7 months maybe. Really liked it.
Using Tytung's NexusHD IceCreamSandwich now, because it is Android 4 .
aside from being the best android, which android rom has good battery life? i can only use my nexushd2 v3.2a gingerbread rom for half a day... huhuh
I feel comfortable with typhoon cyanogen mod.
simple, fast, good battery lasting and clean android look.
Then customize as you wish.
I used a lot of launchers before falling back on the standard one from cyanogemod, a modified version of ADW launcher.
Sense builds are too laggy for our HD2
I recommend MIUI (in particular Jan Willems builds) or one of the CM7 builds, Hyperdroid is a good one.
As above: try them all. Unique taste is very important - I like stock-similar rom's so I prefere UrDroid or RCMix3D.
Same like above: Not enought optimised HTC Sense >2.5 is too laggy to our device...
Definitely Nexus HD2. It's only a Beta but you'll love ICS.
Using now pure cyanogen mod7 by tweakos, so far the best nexus base, if you like sense, try mikhei777 froyo.
