Performance increase?
Battery life while data is being accessed?
Sent from Snarf with an Epic

I must be doing something wrong. It actually slowed down upload speeds. Is there a setting or something that I'm not aware of that I need to change?

Flashed this yesterday and I didnt notice any difference in signal. If anything, i think its draining my battery faster.

If you are getting slower speeds or battery drain I would update prl and wipe cache and batt stats.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App

It has actually increased my battery and tws is 1%

What's the latest prl for epic? Mine is 60671.

Anyone know if it works on even older roms like DK28 and DI18?
(no practical reason, just curious)

60677 try and update then post back

Anyone have a link to the EC05 modem? I searched for it and could not find it. When updating my Bonsai ROM the modem did not update from the EB13.

Gingerbread here

Just got notification that I can upgrade android, presumably to gingerbread. Holding off, as I'm rooted.
Nexus one, in the uk.
Cool!
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
It's probably the FRG83D update. Unfortunately
What build are you running? If you are running FRG83D then this could be exciting news.
PS. Am on 2.2.1 now, so presume the update is... gingerbread. But I'm off to bed as its 1:30am.

D'oh. I tried to accept the update, but as I figured would happen, it didn't apply in Clockworkmod Recovery. Anyone know a good way around that?
Will the update unroot me? 2.2.1 rooted.

[Q] MikG or Myn's Warm 2.2?

Debating on which of the two to flash. Yes I could try both but being my first ROM flash, any suggestions? Thanks.
Thats a tough one. I've tried both but for some reason I always go back to myn's.
Well myn 2.2 was great, but its 2.2. Give mikg a shot, its amazing!
Swyped from my EVO using XDA app.
MIKG is amazingly fast! i would go with that one and new sense 3.0 is sweet!
I would have to recommend mikg. It's like getting a whole new phone again.
Just be sure to follow the instructions.. especially when it comes to wiping data,ect...
Sent from neither here... nor there.
MikG until Synergy comes out and then we an compare them.
Is there anything specific on flashing this ROM, Kernel, then Radios? I'm pretty much going to follow the mikichannel video guide: http://www.youtube.com/user/themikmikchannel#p/u/0/aLS6MYJ7p0g
No, just wipe everything and flash.
I am/was a Myns/Konis fan (see my sig) until today, decided to flash MikG on a whim.
Holy crap, I won't be going back.
That being said, Myns (and a few other) 2.2 based ROMs are great, btw. Solid, stable, and Very nice to look at.
Hows the battery life on myns and miks?

I just flashed MikG and the recommended Kernel and Radio updates. So far all is working well. Wow. Fast and nice. Now to reload my apps.
I like the black theme on myns worm. The battery life is what you'd expect from a froyo sense ROM.
MikG...Synergy is going to be sweet as well...loaded Syn up yesterday and had to double check what happened...it loaded my apps for me. Myn is working it as well...gives you an idea, but MikG rocks!
If possible, could someone give me a link to download MikG rom. Would be appreciated

EI22 Modem

I've downloaded the update.zip that bit was able to post.
I'm looking in the zip file and I'm wondering if modem_delta.bin is the EI22 modem that is flashable in Odin?
If not, does anyone know where it's located?
Try this, I used it to update my modem while on the CM7 rom, and I see it now under settings.
Any word yet on whether this modem file is odin-able working?

I suppose that's the delta EC05_to_EI22, so one need to be on EC05 modem?

This only works if you're on EC05 modem (although that's pretty easy to get around)

Correct.
"Delta" refers to the amount of change - it isn't the full modem binary, just the parts that differ from the previous official modem (EC05). This allows for a much smaller download, but requires the correct base file for the changes to be applied correctly.

I am on SFR 1.2 EH17 Modem. I had to odin back to ec05 modem, then was able to flash EI22 using ACS CWN. It would not flash while on EH17.
Confirmed. I just tried flashing from EH17 modem...no luck. Have to wait until after work

I did it via kies, worked after finally getting kies working which required toggling the usb data connection mode between camera and media. (Kies was just spinning saying "loading...")
Yeah I got mine Thursday morning, it prompted me to do it when I woke up about 8am I clicked ok it took about 20mins :good:
yeah I'd advise to do it via Kies mate (if you can get the bloody software to detect your phone properly - it's still buggy after all these years).
The file is absolutely huge so better to do it via kies and get some charge in at the same time.
Did it via kies, I think it made the phone cooler but prevents the motochopper root.
My interenet connection is only 5mb roughly and the file over kies is 8gb so would take forever
How come some people can get it other not ota

that might have been an earlier patch or something? Either that or maybe when you download it on kies it downloads the WHOLE firmware, as opposed just whats needed to update. Are you now running I9505XXUAMDM?

Maps is killing my battery on MF9

I updated to MF9 last night, and while I love the smoothness of the rom, the battery life is not as good as MDL. For some reason, Maps is using a bunch more battery than it used to. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm pretty sure the kernel isn't the same. After updating to the MF9 firmware, but before flashing the MF9 ROM and kernel, my wifi was broke and I believe mobile data as well. Wifi would turn off immediately when I tried to turn it on. But after flashing the ROM and kernel it worked flawlessly. This is the same as what people reported going to MDL. If the kernel didn't change at all then the MDL kernel would work with the MF9 firmware.
