I dont understand why they charge you for hotspot if you have unlimited everything else....i believe they shoud just give it to you then or as like a 2 year upgrade bonus

Because hotspot was an "industry first" with the EVO even though a lot of androids are capable of it. Just another ploy to make money.

If I remember correctly it was free when it first came out and then an update shut it down... But believe me you will get some people on here that will have a lot to say about it... Hey you have an Evo and you have choices just be happy for that I guess

Why would you need a hotspot? Just get the wireless tether app. Boom, instant free hotspot

Have you been doing any tethering? Or flashed / changed anything to allow tethering?
I have only tethered to another Android phone. Been doing it for weeks though. This never popped up until today.

Tmobile will block tethering when you hit 500mb. There hasn't been a work around with it unfortunately.
