Is there somewhere where I can find release notes for samsung firmware updates.
I plugged my tab into Kies today, and it came up with a message advising me there are updates available.
Current firmware version: PDA:JK2 / PHONE: JK2 / CSC:JK1 (XSS)
Latest firmware version: PDA:JM5 / PHONE: JM2 / CSC: JM6 (XSS)
It sure would be nice to know what I'm getting before I update.

Its allready have version 2.1 -Update1
How is possible to update to froyo, and how can I know is it factory unlocked or I bought unlocked manuelly one.

I bought it in Kosovo, seems it comes from Macedonia
The most common way is to install Samsungs Kies and do an firmware update in the program. This will check automatically whether an update is available for you.

I did check update but message was you have latest update.
I patch registry with kies 1.7 and update to 2.2.1,
After update all went OK.
now I have
PDA: I9000XXJPY
Phone: I9000XXJPY
CSC: I9000XAJPY
Build info: 2010.12
is all OK?
check Software update in Your GNote. After update:
PDA: N70000XXKA
PHONE: N7000XXKK5
CSC: N7000PLSKK1
Can you advise how you manage it? Samsung Kies permanently show me "you have aktual version" - no uptade is available.
i mentioned it was available in another thread, lol.
on your phone, go to settings, about phone, software update. should find it there, only about 15mb. updates to KKA (2.3.6).

The firmware I'm currently looking for is the android 2.3.5 (XSA) firmware and can't seem to find it anywhere, if anyone has it could you send me the link would be a big help for me.
I'm currently using 2.3.3 and want to upgrade back to 2.3.5, I was using 2.3.5 but it was an optus branded firmware, but I want the stock.

my mobile is on android 4.3 i9505XXUEMKF
but when I check on sammobile is says that their is a newer version of 4.3 which is
CSC: I9505YXXENA5
MODEM: I9505XXUENA4
so I did a manuel check on the phone and it doesn't find the update, so I connected my phone upto my pc and started kies 3
and that doesn't find this latest update either can anybody tell me why?

If you wanna update your phone to the latest firmware then download and flash this file I9505XXUENA4_I9505YXXENA5_BTU.zip and the tutorial from here or here Goodluck Flashing , and Have a nice day.
Hello! My Galaxy s8 can't seem to find any updates on my device even though it is not the latest version.

I'm from Europe/Romania and using Orange carrier. I bought it from someone who said the phone is from the UK which is true.
I did a factory restore when I got it and the phone is not rooted and unlocked.
Should I flash a new version? If so which one? I've never done this before so I'm really cautious.
same here i live in algeria can't receive oreo update , i'm thinking of flashing my s8 to the french firmware but i'm scared of breaking it
The samsungmobile.com link shows OTA availability for a CSC of DBT, which is German according to other XDA threads, not Romanian. Update availability is based on CSC, are you sure that your CSC is DBT?

I would try updating manualy to Oreo latest and then updating it to PIE
Just update from odin with home_csc to keep the data. But if you update from 7.0 to another android version, i recomend a clean install.
