[Q] Question about xRecovery, Link2SD and busybox - XPERIA X8 General

I was wondering if there was a version of xrecovery that works with busybox 1.17.1 since i cant use the older one (1.15???) because Link2SD stops working. The phone is on stock 2.1 with the latest update.

Titanium backup problems

Anyone else having problems with titanium backup, i just updated it to the newest version, and now its telling me im not rooted no more? but the phone is rooted.
Are you running a custom Kernel? I just had this same issue yesterday. Let us know if you get it working and if you're able to restore backups. I got it working, but could not restore backups. I keep getting a parsing error.

Running superuser.apk?
Can you still get root from a terminal session (su)?
Are you using the latest busybox?
Have you tried letting it install its own app-only busybox?
All my problems I've had with TiB have been with superuser.apk and busybox.
Might not be permanent root then, check other root apps like rom manager or something. Parse error is prob the version of busybox you have, clic problems in tb, then download busybox from within app.
On stock rom/flash a rooted kernel, search the dev section and check again, the joeykrim root is janky

[Q] Installed two busyboxes accidently

Hello,
I recently flashed my phone with Mur4ik's Gingerbread 2.3.5 RC4 and everything was fine. Two days ago when I installed the V6 SuperCharger Script I installed BusyBox installer, and like it's said in the tutorial I chose to install BusyBox 1.18.2, installed that and run the script and everything was fine.
This morning I installed DroidSheep app and it said that i need BusyBox, it took me to the market to download Busybox installer and accidently installed the newest busybox, after exiting the app, went to Root Explorer and nothing is displayed, but SuperUser says that Root acces has been granted to Root Explorer.
So what should I do now? BTW the phone is still working, rebooted and the same thing.

The new version would have just over-written the old, sadly there are several issues with the new version which can cause some apps to malfunction... just go back to the market, download the BusyBox Installer (by Jared Rummler - JRummy16) and just select to install v1.18.2 again.

Lost Root Acess after updating to the lates Cyonagen ROM Release

Superuser not work
ROM Manager saying i need to root my phone. Please help completely lost.
Open superuser, hit menu, toggle permissions on, reboot.
And get rid of ROM Manager
Need More help didn't work
I don't use CM, but if it comes with the newest version of SuperUser (3.04 I believe), then that's likely the problem. Uninstall it and install an older version.
R&R SU with one in this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1297612
I too had thought I lost root access w/ latest SU (3.04 I believe).
Installed 3.0 in above link and everything back to normal now, i.e, root apps functioning normally.
Just be careful not to update app through Market to 3.04; I haven't found a way to stop it prompting me to update. Can't detach from Market via TB because SU doesn't appear in apps list.
i'm on 3.4 with no issues but ive lost root flashing other roms with 3.0. weird
Do what HipKat says.

[Q] x10 wifi issue

A Noob is Stuck !! Help Please
1. My Phone is Rooted
2. My Phone is still on Stock ROM 2.3.3 (No Custom ROMs Installed yet)
2. It's on Baseband .71
3. I had Busybox installed (as every forum said it was "essential")
4. I for some reason uninstalled busybox from my system
so now my Wifi isn't working at all, it's stuck on "Obtaining Ip Address", I did a reset of my Router (Like they said in some other forum) yet it's not working.
I would install a custom rom but Xrecovery as I read somewhere requires busybox.
Could anyone here please send me a working Busybox link (the One I downloaded required mounting and other stuff, which is too confusing) or could some one tell me if i can install custom ROM without this busybox thing and also I'm still on Stock ROM so can I do a Factory Reset ?

Multitool Advance v6 by dr.ketan - Busybox Problem

Hi all,
Just flashing my note 3 to stock rom 4.3 latest update. Then using dr.ketan multitool to root, at this stage all is good. Until I install apps like titanium backup (titanium said no binary found) or triangle away (it says supersu needed, even the phone is rooted and supersu can be updated). Tried to install busybox from apps store but still can't fix the problem. checked with root checker, it says device rooted but no busybox found.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Have tried to flash and reflash so many time with different options but still no fix. I just need to get the busybox get recognised so my titanium backup and triangle away can work properly.
