Hello,
I have currently running version 7.0.0 RC2 elelinux 1.5.
When installing from 0, I noticed you did not store the passwords for the wifi and downloaded applications.
As I've read, this is because the rom using GAPPS Light, and using GAPPS could be solved.
My question is if this would work, if it works any version to flash, if it affects performance, and especially that there are differences between them
What is gapps light?
where can i get the gapps?

Hi guys,
Just have a quick question- wondering if anyone is running into the same problem. I just installed Cyanogen 7 rc1, and it is force closing between the load screen and the welcome screen (for the first time).
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but any help would be great.
Thanks
Based off what I've read in the development threads, the RC does't seem to be too much of an RC. I'd restore and wait.
you have to flash RC1 over a nightly build.

Yep! Its was a known issue with the first build of RC1. Something was botched. I recommend you either flash RC1 over nightly build #38, or you just flash nightly build #39 (which already includes fixes that were left out of RC1).
Cheers!
Alright, I know. It's here somewhere, but Google, and the search here aren't cutting it. I am on the old cm7(Emmc) with the old kernel, and I want to update to a newer nightly build. How do I go about doing it? I am afraid to flash a new nightly because of the kernel. Does it flash with the new build? I am running smooth now, but wanna try out the working USB. Thanks......

Just do a nandroid, flash the latest nightly, clear the caches. you are good to go. the nightly contains the new uboot and kernel.
Make sure you also flash the latest 6/13 gapps after you flash the latest nightly.
Im also going to update from nightly 87, .29 kernel and 1.1 uboot. I want to install nightly 117 or 118. I know the new uboot gets flash automatically. So just to clarify steps. First install nightly then kernel 6/30, gapps. Clean cache, wipe dalvik. Correct?
What about updating Clockwork Recovery? I've seen some people talking about it -- is it actually necessary?

Use Rom Manager to update clockwork to the latest. Can also use it for flashing nightlies... or RC1.
if you wish to check out usb hosting, you'll need to flash dal's new kernel 6/30 and his awesome app nook color tweaks

Dal's Kernel here:

This is why I love this forum. The next time I am on my pc, I will thank you all. Unbelievable what can be done with this thing.

Hi all, Im currently using a jw miui rom, but noticed that there is a newer rom on the miui site for the hd2. What is the difference between the ones on this forum and the official roms. Will the miui from miuiandroid work out of the box?
As a user of MIUIandroid.com ROM i can say it will work out of box as you ask just flash the recovery or CLK and then recovery of 160/5 size and flash it as any other ROM all i can i say is that i tried many MIUI ROMs and this one is best for me and it has even OTA updates.....
jirka607
Thanks, does the latest include all the gps stuff and what kernel? Sorry to be a pain.
For magldr its tytung R12 for CLK you can install any kernel you want but it must be somehow modified to be compatible with MIUI i think GPS libs must be installed but its not a big problem i think.
OH and its OK ask waht you want!
Looks like I will be updating my jw miui after work. Thanks again
NO problem anything you wanna ask just write me Im glad i could help.
Stuck again. I installed and all was fine but then in installed apps2sd+ ind it is stuck on the htc screen.
Did you wait enought ?
Some rom need a long time on the firt boot.
Sorted now, I re-installed and did the rom and the apps2sd+ before rebooting and then su cache2sd once rebooted and it works. Only problem i have now is gmail not syncing then FC.
I sorted the gmail thing, just updated the app and rebooted.
I've been playing around and noticed that the is a hd option in the camcorder settings and it does work. Is it actually 720p?
i never tried but i dont think its 720p
Recommend jw good stable roms, also try gomiui, using this at moment and no faults
I was using jw, but as he decided not to update to the latest miui release, I thought I'd do it myself.

I have tried out, Paranoid Android, AOKP, Omni and CM 11. So far Mahdi ROM is the most stable 4.4 rom out for the G2.
He contribute so fast, and bugs are fixed very fast. The ROM got OTA updates now awesell.
Go and check it out!

Thanks for the suggestion but the thing is I am new in these advanced android stuffs. So i would prefer to choose from the renowned rom makers. So far I only found my device d802 listed in cyanogenmod and aokp's website. So which one should I choose from these two?
And i should get the latest nightly build right? (as in today's one)

I would recommend the latest SNAPSHOT cm-11-20140104-SNAPSHOT-M2-d802.zip since it's a bit more stable then the nightlys.
And if you go for nightly, always check the CM 11 Official thread before upgrading the nightlys to see if some people have any big issues.
But like i said, I would recommend you to take the latest SNAPSHOP.
Cheers!

I would recommend, take advance wipe in twrp and check: Dalvik Cache + System + Data + Cache and you will be fine!
Much better to be on the safe side and do a real cleaning before flashing a ROM.
Thanks! Will download the rom and flash it now. Hope everything goes well
