I advice u not to... Because at least it is not buggy (well some times it doubles some icons) and in a bad time it can save you.

Hi so this is what frequently happens, I lose the top bar on the screen (start icons etc) which needs a restart to get back, sometimes the screen will not go black when the power putton is pressed(for locking), holding the end call button to lock the phone dosent work at all even after restart(not that i use it), also the email icons where you flick down and up to get a preview often dosent work and the email opens instead(happend from the start).
So what i would like to know is what can i do about this I assume there is a new rom out there that is really nice and stable but which do you suggest? I would like one which replaces the alarm setting in the default rom as that is so annoying. Also I use the youtube program all the time and I would like to still have the zoom bar in opera. your advice is really appreciated.
Im getting some of these problems, sorry dont know what to sugest! but my end key has never locked my phone it ends data conection ok !!??

Have you tried a hard reset?
There are many great roms each Rom has a thread you can check them out to see what they have and what they can do it depends on your preferences not others
i know that may be all of you know that , but i discovered it and i wanted to share , open timescapes , press the settings buttom , then choose set as home , and you will get timescapes as the main ui in x10 instead of normal android ui and get an acess to all applications throug timescapes ,exactly like htc sense . good luck

Just tried this on mine and to be honest it does look pretty cool. Gonna stick with it for a couple of days. Well spotted Hoss.
If you use timescape as the main UI you can also move the icons in your app tray about, therefore not in alphabetical order.
The four icons along the bottom of the home screen can be changed too. You need to open the app tray up, then long press one of them to drag back into the list of apps. Then you can change the four to the four apps you use the most
I have tried that on day 1 of purchase but it lags soo much
Although it looks very fancy the scrolling of the app draw is not very smooth at all.
In addition if you press home whilst being on the screen it seems to relaunch the app all over again.
It's not ideal.
all of you are right it is very buggy and laggy as it is an eary beta like all things on x10 buggy and lagy
timespace as home menu...the app menu gets laggy.
So I uninstalled the launcher on my phone and inadvertently exited market before I downloaded/installed another one. Now all I have is a notification bar and black screen.
Is there a way to install apk's through CWM? I'm sure there is, I just need to get launcher pro back on my phone. I don't want to revert back to my last backup because it's kind of old.

maybe hold the 'home' button - see if it gives you Market as recently used apps, and d/l a launcher.

this is not the first time that it happens, in the past to solve I had to reinstall the whole firmware, but honestly is a waste of time reinstall all the apps and restore their data. My problem is that sometimes when I quit from some apps (generally games) the buttons of phone, address book and sms disappears from launcher bar (as you can see in attached photo). Probably the question is stupid but... have you any hint on how to reconfigure the launcher?

just enter menu... then press soft key... then press edit... and then just drag phone, messages and contacts back to the drawer...
Mmmmhhhhh no way, from menu->edit I can only add and remove homepages.
i got that sometimes roght after restart when the phone is still loading ... either that is it or if it will not apear after like 15 seconds you can clear tw cache/data in settings/aplications/manage aplications/ALL - find tw launcher (sometimes in some languages it is called network) anyways youre looking for such icon there on list

i like simple tw3 look for example modified a bit to fit my needs,
ofc they can always install alternative launcher BUT HOW IS THAT FIXING THE MISSING ICON PROBLEM?
it is not, and that is not this thread topic (what launcher do i use)

you should move the apps in your dock to the app menu before using a new launcher
i dropped my phone the other night and it cracked. its cracked on the botton right where the recents button is and i cant use that are of the screen (basically is unresponsive) but the rest of the screen works absolutely fine and i just rotate the screen if i need to access something in that are that i cant access. Was wondering what i need to replace to fix it ?
will also attach pictures to show what are exactly is affected.

You would need to change the entire front screen to actually fix the problem !! However if you don't want to spend the amount (in my country its around 80 dallars) you can download switchr app from play store !! It helps you to switch and kill apps just like the recents button. If the other buttons also don't work like the home and back ull need to root your phone and download LMT launcher from the market. It is almost like pie control which you find on ParanoidAndroid .

Okay i went to repair shop and they quoted me $300 which is bit expensive since i could put a little bit more and get the nexus 5 but i want to spend the minimum amount possible and have a phone that works.. So what exactly do i need to buy to fix it ? do i need to buy the lcd or the touch screen ? or are there more parts that i need to get because i want to know what it might add up to for all the parts that are needed.
Also i don't think the switchr app would solve my problem because basically any app or button that is in that area, i can not use since that area of the screen is unresponsive. I'm assuming something to do with the touchscreen is broken over there ? in that bottom right area of the screen that i showed in the earlier picture i attached. I can stilll use the phone because the rest of the area is still normal, but i dont know how long it will be for since its cracked and could spread. and at times if there is something in that area that i need to access, for example certain parts of the keyboard or an app, i rotate the screen and that way i can still use it though some apps do not rotate at all and that makes things impossible.
