1. I am using the official 2.1 now, how can i flash the fastboot rom to my phone?
2.because i am worrying about the missing function and the performance of the phone, so I want to know whether it can back to 2.1 or not.
3.just using that 2.3.3 and without any changes(I think it's not necessary to use Apps2SD anymore, right?) I known that the SD card cannot be removed after the Apps2SD installed
anyway, thanks for your help

you can flash 2.1 europe+fastboot version so then you can flash the clockworkmod and do the backups of the 2.1 version...
Euro+fastboot:
http://www.mediafire.com/?96nu9lb6afx22a7
Clockworkmod:
-Try first with v3.0.1.3
http://www.mediafire.com/?7xb4q35kwq1iutx
-If it doesnt work then flash this version 2.5.1.8
http://www.mediafire.com/?sax544hf3cye3gx
this is the order for flash upgrades:
1.6
2.1 eclair without fastboot (in this case your V20A)
2.1 eclair with fastboot (europe version) (A MUST FOR FLASH NEXT VERSIONS 2.2+)
2.2 froyo
2.3 gingerbread
* i think here is more risk of brick you phone going back to 2.1 version so do it AT YOU OWN RISK

yes you can
2.1 to 2.2 or
2.1 to 2.3
once you have clockworkmod you can flash any ROM you want by recovery or by fastboot depending of wich version you download. though recovery mode is safer.

that is not safe at all. if you want to go back to 2.1 then you should go back to a custom 2.1 ROM by recovery from clockworkmod or by fastboot.
Take a look of this 2.1 version is the one im using

If you want to go back to 2.1, I recommend using Black Quarx ROM. It's as safe as SwiftDroid and OpenSwift.
if i want to upgrade my phone to CM7 1.9
can I upgrade it without wipe the user data?
the version 2.0 seems only a beta version, i don't want to upgrade to it right now.

This will be pretty difficult. I presume you mean you installed it (despite the huge numbers of warnings here and on other sites).
I think you'll need to see if fastboot still works (it most definitely won't ) and see if flashrec works (which it likely won't). Failing that, we may need some rooters to find a flaw to crack it.
If fastboot works, we can use superboot to sort it out
flashrec does not work and fastboot does not work, finally it works, but you can not install a recovery from fastboot
does goldcard still work to downgrade the firmware?
the Goldcard does not work either because it is 2.1
what does "it finally works"? Did u mean flashrec can be run in htc hero 2.1?

I wanted to say that its not working (fastboot) and does not also flashrec
So, by that means who want to have Custom ROM Later they shouldn't Flash Official android 2.1 Update ? Because they will loose root & can not get it back ? Right ? can't flash recovery, means can't install Custom ROM
Did you try AmonRa - recovery ?
flashrec can be install or not ? if it can then try to flash using AmonRa .. if it works then can get recovery option i think .
flashrec can install but can not install a recovery it does not work
All Right Thanks bro .. now i don't want to install official 2.1
Maybe stupid question, but is it not possible to have 1.5 back using an old RUU
its not working
Hey Mates,
I am pretty new to android now.
I have few questions that would allow to decide whether to Root it or now.
So here goes my quests:
1) After rooting my Wildfire how can i unroot it. (On Stock ROM.)
2) If i install the Custom roms (its rooted) like Cyanogen MOD, how do i revert back to stock rom?
3) I need to install the Linux with the help of linux installer (available from the market) by taking reference from: http://android.galoula.com/en/LinuxInstall/
Does anybody have tried working it out?
4) Can the HTC Sense installed separately on custom roms?
5) After all my desires to mod the Wildfire have accomplished and when i need to sell the phone, would i be able to make my phone look as Stock, unroot and like virgin ? LOL
1. Flash the ruu of your stock rom, www.shipped-roms.com/shipped/Buzz/
2. Flash the ruu of your stock rom, www.shipped-roms.com/shipped/Buzz/ Or do a nandroid restore of your stock rom
3. I dunno
4. No
5. Yes
@Kevin
Isnt there something that may allow me to show my gesture for your fast response. Thanks a lot mate.
Will go one step further.
No worries
How can i confirm which RUU is for my handset. I belong to India.
I'm not sure not at my computer atm. Try the asia one or wwe (world wide english)
Is it available in the about me of the phone or some keystrokes that may lead to software management.
Well i got the Indian RUU.
I'm going to sell my Wildfire(getting galaxy s) so I'm not sure if I should install the latest RUU ( RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1 ) or older ones? BTW I live in Serbia

Via FASTBOOT menu.
But once you have used Custom ROMs you must have "Custom Recovery Bootloader".
And CustomRecovery will not accept RUU because of the "signing" concept.
Which means you will have get back the Stock Recovery before you can flash any of the RUU.
Am I right? OR have you done it some how? I would like to know.

Hello mates,
I have a rooted wildfire with Wildpuzzle ROM v2.2. My recovery image is the Clockwork Recovery.
I want to load the Stock Froyo, now that app2SD is possible without root.
(App2sd is the only reason rooted).
I tried flashing the RUUxxxxx.exe file ,but got the error cannot upgrade your phone.
I found that signing key of the custom recovery is the causing the problem and that I have to get the Stock Recovery. And only then I will be able to run the RUUxxxx.exe file for Stock Froyo 2.2.
Can anyone tell me how I can do it ?
It will be of great help if any one can share an original "recovery.img" .
Also I am having trouble with fastboot becuase I have S-ON in bootloader.
Make a gold card. Flash stock RUU. Flash 2.2 RUU. Done! Look up a guide of making goldcard on xda or modaco.

So you dont need the root anymore?
Then you should download from shipped-roms.com a WWE that is eclair run the .exe on ur pc and when its done go to (in ur phone) to the updates section and OTA upgrade to non-rooted official froyo!
(Htc Buzz:wildfire WWE is under the windows mobile section for some reason xD)
1. Where is stored fastboot? We can erase cache, system, boot, userdata, but phone still boots with fastboot. So where is stored that part, and how to delete it?
2. How to disable step up of sound in incoming call? What I need to edit, what file?
I sow that 2.3 has this option but where to find it in 2.1?
Fastboot stored in bootloader and for removing it you should flash originar LGs roms via KDZ. You can not remove it without reflashing.

Still trying, huh?
Why do you need to remove fastboot? You only know it's there if you boot with camera pressed and it doesn't take up any space. Really, it's supposed to be there it's just that LG disable it on their phones and that is wrong of them - it's a valuable part of the Android platform.
If you have fastboot then the chances of bricking your phone are lower.
I just try to find way to erase fastboot, and got chnace to flash LG 540 with original firmware. Nothing more, nothing less. And now, LG 540 is "old phone" but still there is no valid answer

You cannot erase fastboot once flashed, well you can but your phone will stick at the LG Screen, thats what I said before.
So , that is final state: no back to orginal roms after fastboot flash. I searching and found that GOLD CARD can do anything with Android, that is last solution.

I thought the goldcard was used on HTC phones to flash custom RUU files (Rom Update Utility) I'm not sure if it will have an affect on our phones, I could be wrong, I'm not sure...
Also, when you flash a Fastboot KDZ, It still flashes Stock Android 2.1 software. So if you want to use stock OS, just re-flash your KDZ.

Jack
From my experience, u can remove fastboot by flashing original 2.1 rom from LG. There are things u need to do 1st.
I don't think u can't flash directly to original 2.1 with kdz updater from 2.2 or 2.3 custom rom. Flash to custom/backup 2.1 first using recovery (note that u need older recovery)
Then using that 2.1, flash original 2.1 rom from LG. Note the rom versions (v20d/b/a) I don't think u can flash to lower version. Once I've v20b with fastboot then I flashed v20a original, I got Linux Kernel Panic. Thankfully LG service center can fix that. I can flash v20b with fastboot to original v20b n the fastboot is gone (press cam + power, nothing happened)
I did that when I had problem with my screen, n need to go to service centre.

Beats me. It worked for me some months ago. What version of ur original rom and version with fastboot? Mine are v20b both. Try this: when u have custom 2.1 rom installed via recovery, try flash 2.1 rom with fastboot via kdz updater. Then try flash original 2.1 rom with kdz. Flashing with kdz updater when ur phone is in download mode might help, so try that too.
If that won't work, keep ur stuck in LG logo phone to service center. Just say when u try to update online, it became like that. They'll flash the original 2.1 rom without fastboot in 15 mins.

i think to get back to complete stock no fastboot etc you need to flash a 2.1 backup via fastboot or recovery then use kdz to flash a complete stock rom but im not to sure on that one

Any link?
I try:
flash with KDZ ( any of stock rom)
repair option in LG tool
using out.kdz ( as someone suggested) then stock rom
using other modes in KDZ updater CS and CS Emergency
It looks like 90% of LG GT540 cannot flash with stock rom once fastboot rom is used, and like 10% can do this.
Guys i need your help
History:
1. bought the phone with froyo (phone is atrix 4g att)
2. updated over-the-air to gingerbread
3. rooted
4. installed clockworkmod
5. unlocked bootloader
6. backed up stock rom
6. installed cyanogenmod 7 beta with android recovery (update.zip)
Now I want to get back to gingerbread 2.3.4, so can i just restore it via clockworkmod restore or there is some other way?
And if i just restore my backup, is it safe for future OTA updates?
PS: i did spend my time searching and reading xda forums but i am not sure what to do because english is my 2nd language and i don't understand everything, i love my atrix and don't wan't to brick it
