[Q] Oh No!!! - EVO Shift 4G General

I Obviosly rooted sinse im here.Since last time i rooted something it broke i think i did it again.i used the ruu .zip file in development then wanted to root again now i installed visionary temprooted then my shift reebooted im not sure if its broken ugh to nervous to touch the screen could i have bricked ma fone srry for bad english im ashamed to say but MEXICAN

So, what ended up happening? Can you get your phone to boot? Sometimes with Visionary it takes a few times to work, and it makes your phone do some scary laggy stuff in the meantime.

Why you ashamed to be Mexican?

I think he meant he's ashamed to say he speaks English badly. The reason being he's Mexican. Not that he's neccessarily ashmed of being Mexican.
Should have said:
Sorry for my bad english, I'm ashamed to say. I am Mexican and not a native English speaker.

Slow down. You will end up truly bricking in haste. Please read the wiki on how to manually root, follow everything in there. Its simple. . . .
I'm having the same problem with my dads phone, though mine turned out flawless. All I did was install visionary r12, temp root, then perm root. When It booted it stayed at the HTC splash screen.

No, It won't.
paul o brian told me to just reflash stock
I've been looking for a stock G2 rom, let me know if you find one. Don't do anything else before actually reading a lot. Your phone isn't bricked but if you make a couple more wrong steps you might just get it there.

any more suggestions..... ugh im so mad this happened.......
Worst thing you can do is panic and mess it up even more.
There was a topic here guiding how to return to stock for people that modified system folder by removing the google goggles. That should work.

Try to flash stock back, and see if it works again.
it doesnt really sounds like brick..
I've gone from the desire z rom back to stock which removed by root flashing the rom below. I can't remember where I got the rom from.
rename to this PC10IMG

Are you guys serious?!? Cool
I used to have a G1 and I bricked it .. got stuck in the 'G1' logo...
I'm not yet ready to perma-root my G2 ... I'm waiting for the 1 click Perma Root.. is there such thing??
yes, I'm a chicken..
Try to stay away from one click apps.. they might be the easiest way out, but the most risky as well. Take your time to learn how to use ADB and do everything manually. Use the Rage Against the Cage method to obtain S-OFF and Perm Root..
Updated with tmo ota. No dice. I'm still stuck at HTC screen o death.

The only of that happening is if the newer hboot gets cracked. Until that happens you wont be rooting with 2.2.2, sorry.

Yeah i just tried to root my girls aria using 1click, unrevoked3, and z4 root. Only to find out that hboot 1.02 isn't rootable YET. I just want to remove the bloatware from her phone so it will be a little faster. Thanks for having a forum that works.

[Q] All the lies off 2.3.4 rooted sausming s i 9000

Hi
There are a lot of stories in hgere on how to root to 2.3.4 from stock firmware, but so far no one have been able to deliver version 2.3.4. rooted.
They are all still 2.3.3., so the developers telling you a different story has a problem.
Can we please get those articles corrected as users are waisting time on using useless guides to root there telephone from 2.3.4 to 2.3.3 and think they are on 2.3.4., whan they in rela are on 2.3.3
What???
2.3.4 is most definitely rootable.

use cf-root for jvp. period.
there are many 2.3.4 kernels with which you can get root. you can use either CF root or Semaphore kernel.

Hi Gods of flashing,
I´m pretty clueless. I´ve a One S from T-Mobile Germany (so I´m a crazy german ). I was sick of all the T-Mobile stuff on my phone. So i unlocked my bootloader, installed TWPR and flashed a Viper OneS. I was pretty happy and wanted to try CM stable. There started my trouble. I copied the cm stuff on my phone. Viper One S (or Android I´m not sure anymore ) wanted to do an update, well I downloaded it and let the update install. During reboot the phone went into TWPR ! No start of Android anymore! In the meanwhile I´m sure I´ve done wrong what can be done wrong. OneS All-in-one-Toolkit by Hanson2000, Everything-Tool, trying to flash sideload blablabla...nothing helped.
My screen in booatloader shows:
***Tampered***
***Unlocked***
VLE PVT Ship S-on RL
HBOOT 1.14.0002
Radio 1.09es.50.05.07_2
OpenDSP-v29.1.0.45.0622
eMMC-boot
What is to do that I can use my phone again? I´ve read so many TUT´s, searched the forum but I´m
Could someone please explain step-by-step with easy explanations to me what to do?
I can only use the bootloader, TWPR isn working anymore.
If my phone is nobloe scrap please tell also!
If there are any german guys out there I would be glad to get an german explanation.
Thanks a lot in advance
OT

Erm...don´t know...I´ll delete it here

can someone answer a few questions about this phone??

hey.. i been rooting and flashing for 3 years strong.. im with sprint so i had the og evo.. the evo 3d.. the evo 3g lte.. galaxy s4.. galaxy s4.. now have the htc one.. and im always rooting peoples phone around me.. since i been been rooting phones i never rooted a motorola phone.. i here they can be a pain in the a$$!!? i have a friend that has this phone and i want to root it for him.. is this phone worth rooting or is it super hard... i looked and dont seem to have much for roms.. can somwone link me to the info on how i would go about unlocking and rooting this badboy.. also what rom is the most stable i could flash for him? or should i not root this phone and just wait till he get something new.. sorry for all the questions.. thanks!
To root it depends on which ota you are running. The latest one (I can't remember which) is not root friendly and is a pain to install custom ROMs on. I recommend liquid smooth 2.9. I've been using it for a week and its the best 4.2 ROM currently. You can also try 4.3 but I don't think its too stable yet. Double check which version you are currently running on the phone so more knowledgeable people can help you.

Ummmm OK... well I was just wanting to know to determine if the device in question was unlockable and which root method to direct him to... I'm unsure there is a way to see when the device was actually made short of taking it apart and looking at the sticker/stamp on the logic board...

This phone has an abundance of custom ROMs:
CM10.1-10.2
Carbon
PACman
