Best Modem for Singapore users - Galaxy Tab General

Hello to all SG users in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=989999
Thru trial and error (re-flashing different modems), I've found the Rotohammer JME modem is the best for 3G/voice when using in SG. The modem is attached below.
I can't post in the Dev section as I'm apparently deemed a noob user (>10 posts) so have no choice but to post here!
Thanks for reading and good luck updating your modems : )

I've another phone so I've been using the 3G and wireless mainly on the Tab. Voice usage not so much but still significant. I find the 3G connection speed and reception performance at least 15% better compared to the stock Singtel modem that came with my Tab. Hope that answers your question

Samsung Firmwares

Hallo all,
i recently bought a Samsung I9000.
Now i want to flash 'Froyo' on it.
When i go to a specific site, i see a lot of versions.
Does any one knows the pro's and con's or what they mean?
These are the firmware names:
I9000XWJP6
I9000XXJPM
I9000XXJPO
I9000XWJPA
I couldn't find it in the stickies.
Every help is appreciated.

The JP6/JPM were released at the same time. So they are very similar. While there is nothing wrong with these, I would adivse to go with the newer firmware.
JPO/JPA are both newer and also released at the same time. People are commenting that JPO is slightly better, but you will be happy with either one of these two.

So you would recommend the JPO?
Did you find a page anywere on the web where this info is stated?
Thanks for your reply.

If you want to find this information yourself, you will need to go to the SGS i9000 Android Development forum and look at the JPA thread and JPO thread.
I would recommend JPO, but only because of what others have said. I'm on JP6 and plan on updating to JPO eventually.

@ Mods.
Maybe an idea to make a thread for al the firmwares? And with the explaination of the firmwares? Because this is hard to find on the internet!
Ps. You can close my thread now. Otherwise it will end up in a discussion about which rom is better.

Post in Darkyy's thread, you'll get much better responses there than creating a whole new thread.

Firstly: I recommend Juwes ROM 4.2 it ticks your boxes
Secondly: Brace yourself for learning curve which comes with XDA especially applicable to posting in the right section...
Good luck
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
moderator, this should be moved to QA section.
I would look in the OZ post .

[N7100] [MODEM+RIL] Recovery flashable DDDLK6 Radio with the relevant RIL files

Hi!
This is my first thread on XDA and I'm pretty much excited!
PFA one of the most sought after p) DDDLK6 radio/modem for the N7100 [International version only!] with the relevant RIL files, extracted from the latest firmware for India from Samsung: N7100XXDMC3_N7100ODDDMD1_INU
It can be flashed via your custom recovery as any other normal zip. No wiping necessary.
Before you jump right into flashing, please read the following:
1) Very, very important: While flashing, it says it's installing the XXDLK7 modem but it's actually not! I used the hacked zip from @Twist79, over >here< and just replaced the files. The modem being flashed is DDDLK6 only!
Edit: Check this post.
2) The customary disclaimer: I'm not responsible for anything bad that may happen to your device after/while flashing this. Even if it's World War III.
3) Credits: Many thanks to @Twist79 for the zip, SamMobile for the firmware, Google, XDA Forums and its members for all the inputs and knowledge. If I'm missing somebody, please let me know.
Live long and prosper.
Why is this one so "sought" after?

Don't exactly know. I was checking out different threads about modems and saw quite a few people request this. Unfortunately, it wasn't available directly anywhere in XDA. And there also seems to be a lot of discussion about flashing Modems and RIL libraries together, so I found the need to put this one up.
I remember having to correctly flash the right RIL files when I was rolling with a HTC Sensation XE.
But I would like to ask what is in it for my Note 2?

Nothing, actually. I'd suggest you stay with your default modem. This is for those who really want it.

Why so impatient? It hasn't even been 24 hours since your original post and you've already made multiple follow up posts about not having being helped yet. People have work, families, lives, why do you expect that they would drop everything to answer your query? If you wanted an immediate answer it was always as close as doing a forum search, which would have been the reasonable thing to have done before posting anyway.
It's difficult to believe that your stock ROM modem doesn't work with your provider. We can't discern why that might be or the best way to solve it though since you provided no details e.g. obviously who is your provider? And as basic, what firmware version are you using? You should provide a lot more information as it is crucial for anyone to efficiently help you and would be in your own interests since you are impatient.

Tested with extresolite rom and alpha and original rom all based on touchwiz and same problem , i had no problem with cyanogen on my s4 , thank's , always no one help me there but thankx
I don't understand. You say that you are in a rush and want help. But you won't tell us who your provider is or what firmware version you are using on your S5? You'd get more replies and more effective advice as well if you provided relevant information about your situation.
