Hello,
Today i woke up and i found my screen broke.
I can see on the screen (a blue hue) but the touch does not work.
I want to save my photos from it but the problem is when i made settings i select to ask me what mode i want when connect the phone on USB.
I don't have USB debugging activated and my phone is not rooted.
There is any way to save my data?
Thank you and sorry for my english.
If your data is on the external memory card then that should be safe if you remove it .
Data on the internal sd card will need to be accessed via usb mass storage mode on phone and copied to your pc .
Repair screen you can ask the tech guys to not destroy your data if possible .
The word you need to use in future is BACKUP data that you need to keep .

Once it's gone, it is gone. Unless it exists somewhere else, it is gone.
ouch, that really hurts... there should be a way to undelete from the phone's memory. if there is one, i hope you find it.
There is still hope...
Hi, don't just assume that once you've deleted it, it's gone. There is still hope for your data. You see, when you delete something it doesn't actually get removed, the OS just "hypnotizes" itself into forgetting the data is there. Over time the data will become overwritten (depending on how much you used the sdcard your pictures were on).
There are special programs designed to recover deleted files, I recommend Recuva by Piriform (same guys who make CCleaner).
http://www.piriform.com/recuva
Just point it to your sdcard and scan. Again, depending on how much you've used your device they may either be completely gone or easily recoverable.
Good luck

I second knobbyhtccruise's suggestion. Dont use any apps that may write to your phone memory. Just try ActiveSync method and use this software i have attached below.
Unzip the file to desktop. Connect ur HD2 via AS.
Run Restoration.exe and in Drive see if you can access phone memory. Goodluck
No data recovery software can access the phone memory of HTC or else other smart phone etc
Can't be saved dude. No go dude. No go.

Try http://www.datarecovery.com/. It helped me. It's not free, but you can try if it finds your files for free. Does it find it, you have to buy it to be able to save the files. Worth a try! Good luck, man!
Firs of all, many thanks to all the respondents,
perhaps someone would be kind enough to help me enhance my understanding?
As far as I know a file system allocates space for files & directories, when it is told to delete something it does not do that but instead merely marks the space as available by setting a bit / flag on that entry. This being why it is imperative NOT to write to the file system in the case of an accidental deletion & a recovery program merely reverses the process to mark the space from available to unavailable & displays the entry again
in some expert hands even a hex editor can be used to undelete / recover data
to my limited knowledge both the internal memory & the sd card use a fat32 file system
given the above, I do not understand what is the difference & why data can be recovered from the sd card but not from the main memory. Perhaps someone more qualified can set me straight please?
A random thought - would there be any use setting up a dual boot to android & would that help / harm my case - thought being that there may be more tools available?
once again TIA
M
once a file is deleted, the space is marked as resuable. Therefore, stop using the device because every of your activity may be destorying (overwriting) your deleted data beyond recovery.
SD is recoverable because you can mount it to a PC using a card reader, or even using the HD2 directly. Then most software can read the storage and try to recover. Phone member is presented to the PC as a connected device and it may not be possible for other PC software to access it like a storage device. If you can find a tool that copies the whole 476MB (or whatever) memory to somewhere else (PC hard disk, SD card, any passive storage that is not a phone), then those software will probably to able to handle it.
here is a program that can undelete files from external and internal storage. good luck.

I assume it might help if he has NAND android, otherwise it won't.
did some searching and found two programs that may or may not help on WinMo
Wizcode Unformat Mobile
Wizcode Undelete Mobile
not sure if they can access phone storage. but you can try. hopefully, you haven't fiddled much with your phone since then. it's been about two months.
I believe Wizcode undelete mobile works on storage card only.

so I think the only hope is by sending it to a service center hoping they have tools to mount device memory as removable device, and tools to recover deleted files.
and next time, save your photos on your SD.
if you know anyone with a copy of your photos, now is the time to start calling friends.
Hy Everybody,
I made a big mistake... I formated my data partition in TWRP ( I think I need to learn not tryng to flash and wipe things with some hours of sleep after a party... hating me right now)
The system is still there (and bootable) but all my data is lost (music and photos as well as backups).
Now my question to you, I desperatly need your help... How can I get my stuff back (those mentionned above).
I tried some known windows applications like recuva, but they don't recognize the phone (an MTP ting maybe ?)
TWRP won't mount the sd card while in recovery : getting error "unable to mount 'usb-otg' "
Does somebody have an idea ? Please help me, being unable to use my phone because of not wanting to make the things irrecoverable is a pain
Thanks for your much appreciated help
For all intents and purposes you have lost your data. Without specialist tools your data isn't coming back.

I recovered many hard drives in my life, the problem here is that with MTP I can't use the normal tools.
Is there a way to mount the phone as Mass storage ?
I'mnot getting any further with this...

Not sure if this is any help to you, but in AOKP you can go into settings / storage and click the 3 dot menu, then USB computer connection, and change the way the device is mounted (MTP or mass storage) not sure about xylon though.

Its not going to matter. You can't change our storage to mass storage.
Its probably in aokp settings because they build for many devices.

I want to recover some photos from an HD2 internal phone memory ( not SD) and that's impossible without PC detects that phone as drive.
For Windows phones 7 & 8 there is solution: http://www.asoftech.com/articles/windows-phone-enable-mass-storage.html , but not for WM 6.x .

not sure if this is what you're looking for, but try a program called "wm5torage" on your hd2.
i vaguely recall that when the usb cable is connected in activesync mode, then the activesync software on the desktop/laptop provides an interface to browse the file system of the device. i'm not sure but i think this browsing includes the device partitions as well.

If you haven't touched your device since october, there is a chance that the photos are still in your NAND internal memory.
you could dump your memory using wince tools here http://itsme.home.xs4all.nl/projects/xda/ then use a hexeditor to go through the dump and find the photos. I have not tried any of this, and it won't be easy, you will have to do some research, but it might work.
Hello. I have just deleted my photos and videos from Note 3. I just let delete the whole DCIM directory (thinking it's just one photo that I saw)...
My phone is unrooted. Is there any option to undelete these photos? 6 mounts of living of my 2years son is there.. If there is a way to do it without rooting that's perfect, if not I have to learn how to do it..

No, that is no working. How can I get my photos back? ;/
I found that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2123999
It's for S3. Should it work with Note3?
Maybe there is any easier way?

It should work.
If it somehow successfully allows you to view your phone in disk mode instead of MTP, then you can recover.
I use Piriform's Recuva as well but for other uses.
Recovering when I can see my internal memory as a mass memory in PC is a pice of cake With jpg every program should be fine. The question is how to do the first thing.

MTP =/= Disk mode. You will have to mount your internal storage AS IF you were plugging the chip directly into the computer. Basically a way in which it allows you to format the drive, is the true disk mode. This is entirely different from just plugging in your phone to the computer as this is MTP mode.
If you can get to this stage, then you should be able to. That is what the S3 guide is all about. This is theoretical and an educated guess, if the only thread is the S3 guide then your best bet is from those experiences.
EDIT: Since you have SG Usb Enabler, then try Piriform's Recuva on it.
I know this. I know all of this, I just dont know how to force to have internal storage as a mass storage visible.. I will try later with this solution for S3..
SG Usb Enabler helps only with extrenal SD card.
hmmm any ideas how to do it?
Simple and straight, I need to know if its possible to connect the phone as USB Mass Storage device to my computer.
Thanks!
like this? yes
No, I want it to appear like another drive, I need to recover deleted files and like that no recovery app works, you need to have it connected as mass storage device.
no way to recover lost data. next time use backup or SD card to save media and document files... every school cost... in this case cost lost data...

is Interop Tools... but big warning. is good chance you must do hard reset because full system access via MTP on 950 series not work (in my case PC not recognize 950xl). i hate when people give advice without warning for problems, bugs...
